Pokemon: I Transmigrated Twice

Chapter 62: Pokemon: I Transmigrated Twice [62]

The Xatu perched on his shoulder. Will maintained his position in the sky and glanced toward the entrance of the gym.

Officer Jenny from Olivine City had already arrived with a group of police officers and was preparing to enter.

However, they were being blocked by the staff of the Olivine Gym.

Something's wrong. Definitely wrong!

The gym staff were also members of the Pokémon League.

If that's the case, the police officers should be their allies. Why would they stop the police from entering?

"Joker, these people are suspicious!"

Will signaled the Xatu to lower him to the ground and shouted to Stephen.

The referee, upon seeing Will's shocked expression, appeared very pleased:

"Of course, we're planning to capture you and offer you all to Master Caishen. We won't let Officer Jenny interfere…"

"Vazil, you're talking too much!"

Altair interrupted with a dark expression, scolding the talkative man who seemed ready to go on.

The man named Vazil turned his head away with a disgruntled look, muttering internally:

"Damn it, we're both executives. Calling you 'Lord' is just giving face to the commander. Do you think I'm afraid of you?"

Despite angrily cursing Altair in his thoughts, Vazil dared not say anything aloud. Instead, he refocused and shouted to the subordinates nearby:

"Capture these three brats! There's a big reward for it!"

Nearly 20 gym staff from Olivine Gym surrounded Stephen's group with sinister grins, closing in on them.

If this were Gardevoir, things could've turned out much worse. (One white and 5 black.gif)

"Hey, hey, hey—this isn't looking good."

Will and Rihua were forced to retreat step by step, forming a triangular formation with Stephen, standing back to back.

"No choice. I was hoping for more practice, but I'll have to bring it out early."

Stephen sighed lightly, withdrew Umbreon into her Poké Ball, and immediately threw three more Poké Balls in one go.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three Poké Balls simultaneously opened, revealing three neatly aligned Houndours standing in front of Stephen.

Vazil and the other grinning gym staff were momentarily stunned. Then, in the next second, they burst into laughter.

"I thought you had some trump card! Turns out it's just three skinny dogs!"

Vazil clutched his slightly plump belly, laughing so hard he bent over.

His subordinates wore similar expressions.

Even Will and Rihua exchanged puzzled glances.

As companions who had been together for nearly two months, they naturally understood the strength of Stephen's three Houndours.

Sure, Stephen occasionally gave them special training.

But after all, they'd only been caught for two months.

No matter how much extra training they'd had, how strong could they get?

Facing the laughter around them, the expressions of Maria, Rose, and Sina remained as stoic as their trainer's—calm and unwavering.

"Idiot, be careful!"

Altair, who had been planning to withdraw his Salamence, suddenly sensed something off.

Bright, intense light began to emanate from the three Houndours.

Their bodies grew more robust, devilish horns sprouted from both sides of their heads, and their long tails lashed the ground with resounding smacks.

"Oooh... Awooooo—!!!"

The three Houndooms enveloped in the light of evolution, howled simultaneously, their cries echoing through the entire street.

At the gym entrance, Officer Jenny and her police force naturally heard the sound.

"Are they still fighting?!"

Officer Jenny was startled and anxiously shouted:

"Hey! Let us in immediately!"

The gym staff guarding the door laughed nervously and blocked them, saying, "Officer Jenny, no need to worry. You don't understand Mr. Altair's strength. He'll handle these thieves. If you go in, the battle might affect you, and that wouldn't be good, right?"

Officer Jenny frowned, feeling as if they were implying that the police would only get in the way.

But considering Altair's Elite-level strength… it kind of made sense.

Reluctantly, Officer Jenny ordered her subordinates to surround the front and back entrances of Olivine Gym, ensuring there was no chance for the suspects to escape.

Meanwhile, more and more citizens gathered to watch the commotion.

In the gym's backyard, the light of evolution faded.

The three Houndooms glared fiercely at the surrounding trainers who had been closing in, exhaling hot air. Their eyes were sharp and menacing, like emissaries from hell.

For a moment, the dozen or so trainers around them dared not move closer.

"Y-You fools! What are you afraid of!?"

Seeing his subordinates looking intimidated, Vazil suppressed the panic in his heart and barked:

"Even if they've evolved, they're still just three dogs! Besides, there are so many of us. How could that kid possibly command three Pokémon at once? What's there to be afraid of?!"

Hearing their boss's words, the lackeys' eyes lit up.

Yeah, they were just Houndooms anyway.

If they were three Dragonites or Tyranitars, that would've been a problem.

But three wild dogs? What's the big deal?

Plus, Vazil had made a good point—

It wasn't realistic for Stephen to command three Pokémon simultaneously.

A trainer's judgment and reaction time were naturally limited.

Even in double battles, commanding two Pokémon was already the limit.

In regions like Unova and Kalos, they once tried introducing triple battles, where three Pokémon were sent out at once.

But the Pokémon League ultimately didn't approve it.

They discovered that almost no trainer could perfectly command three Pokémon simultaneously.

Forget reaction time—most people couldn't even speak commands that fast.

Even Lance, the Dragon Master, when he sent out two Dragonairs and a Dragonite, looked like he was commanding three Pokémon.

But in reality, the two Dragonairs mostly acted as support, setting weather conditions and buffs for Dragonite. Lance focused all his attention on commanding Dragonite alone.

"Is that so~"

Stephen smirked and raised his index finger.

"Owooo—"

Sina suddenly tilted its head upward and howled, channeling energy toward the sky.

The previously gloomy night sky brightened, and the light grew stronger and stronger, illuminating the entire Olivine Gym.

Sunny Day!

While Sina howled, Maria opened its mouth wide.

A massive, fiery blaze erupted, engulfing nearly everyone on the opposing side—including Vazil and his men.

Under the sunny weather, fire-type moves were greatly boosted, while water-type moves were weakened!

"Block it!"

Vazil stepped back and shouted.

His subordinates quickly threw their Poké Balls.

Golem, Tentacruel, Donphan… all were Pokémon with types that counter fire.

Stone Edge!

Water Pulse!

Protect!

Offensive and defensive moves were used at once, clashing with Maria's enhanced Fire Blast in a fierce struggle.

For a moment, both sides were locked in a stalemate. But then, Vazil threw out his own Poké Ball.

"Swampert, use Aqua Break!"

A Swampert leaped out of the ball, its right arm glowing with water energy. It formed a sharp water blade and sliced through the weakened Fire Blast in one swift motion!

But… the third Houndoom emerged from the flames!

Everyone was stunned.

There was a third Houndoom hidden within the fire.

"Rose, use Flare Blitz."

Leaping out from the Fire Blast, Rose absorbed the remaining flames like a fire mage and ignited itself with roaring flames.

Boom!

Swampert, unable to react in time, took the Flare Blitz head-on.

Its mouth hung open in shock as it felt its internal organs shift from the impact.
