Chapter 80: Chapter 80 - Professor Campillo's Vacation House

Third person POV

So, Juan ran to Rico while yelling, "Hey! Rico!" And then, Rico and his group heard that and looked at Juan running towards them. "Woah, Juan-kun?" Rico said, before being hugged by his childhood friend for a couple of moments. Jonathan and the others were surprised by this.

"So that kid is Rico's friend…" Jonathan's mind said.

After pulling back from hugging, Juan asked Rico, "How's your journey?"

"It's fine," replied Rico back positively. "A lot of things had happened and everything…"

He then looked at his older brother, who was happy for him.

Campillo came, only to be surprised by that scene.

Rico then noticed him and greeted him, "Oh, hi there, professor."

"Hello there, Rico," responded the Pokémon professor back positively, "it's been a while. How's your journey?"

"Everything is fine, sir," Jonathan responded to this.

Campillo then looked at him. "Who are you?"

"I am Jonathan Cruz. I am Rico's older brother."

Campillo and Juan were shocked to hear that, for they knew that Jonathan went missing 6 years ago from Campillo's predecessor, who had retired from being the region's Pokémon Professor 2 years ago.

 "What?"

 "Rico's older brother?!"

Jonathan then calmly and briefly replied, "Yes, it's a long story about my life in the six years of my disappearance, but now, I am with Rico again."

Campillo and Juan were amazed, and Rico was proud of his older brother.

Later after that, all of them left the airport terminal, and outside in the waiting zone, an SUV pulled over, and its driver, a tall, young man with purple hair and black eyes rolled down the window. "Hey there, professor," he said to Campillo directly and positively.

"Ah, Eddy, you're in time," Campillo replied back, "we just arrived a few minutes ago."

The Pokémon professor then looked at Rico and the others. "Hop in. This is my close friend."

And so, all of them did so and closed the doors of the young man's black SUV.

The young man then drove his SUV, and all of them left the airport.

Along the way, the night fell, and the SUV was going through Kamias City, stopping when there was traffic and continuing on when there was none. Rico, Jonathan, and their Pokémon teams were enamored by the city's skylines and lights at night. Campillo had already requested the young man Eddy to take him, Juan, and the others to his vacation house in a coastal district in the city. Now, Rico and his group came along, so Campillo just invited them to stay at that house instead. Rico and his group then accepted it without asking. Also, along the way, Eddy asked Campillo about Rico, Jonathan, and their Pokémon teams. Campillo responded to his questions with facts about them, with Rico and Jonathan backing his answers.

Later, at 7:25 p.m., the SUV eventually arrived at Professor Campillo's vacation house, which was a one-story house built on concrete stilts with a set of concrete stairs for access. The house had brick and concrete walls, a reddish-orange tiled roofing, sliding windows, and a dark oak front door. "We're here," Campillo said to them before grabbing his backpack and getting out of the car. Rico and the others did so with their belongings, except that Eddy only had a small, green shoulder bag with him, alongside one of his Pokémon, a Treecko.
