Chapter 98: Chapter 98: What Should I Do? My Trainer Has Become Stronger Again!
If he hadn't just resigned from Professor Carolina , and since she clearly had no intention of keeping him, Rax really wanted to go back and stay in seclusion for half a month.
The kind of seclusion where he wouldn't leave until his psychic were awakened!
But that was just a fleeting thought. After reading the book, Rax felt confident and knew there was no need to rush.
Every morning, Rax found a quiet place to practice mental transformation. He resumed traveling after lunch.
His Pokémon didn't feel bored either. They trained just as hard, secretly pushing themselves even more.
In the past, the team pushed each other to improve, but now, their trainer's rapid growth added another layer of pressure.
Marowak, Skiploom, and Scorbunny couldn't help but think, Our trainer's strength is skyrocketing... we need to keep up!
A Month of Growth
After a month, the fruits of their efforts were apparent.
Metang naturally broke through to the senior intermediate level.
Skiploom advanced to the senior advanced level, once again leading the team and inspiring her teammates.
Scorbunny was highly motivated, determined to reach the senior level soon.
Scorbunny, in particular, had been training harder than ever. With the power of the Dream World and Phantom Moon, it essentially trained for two or three times longer than Marowak's peak regimen.
Rax decided to schedule a thorough check-up for Scorbunny at the next city to ensure it was handling the intense training well.

Another Month Later
In a quiet valley, Rax sat cross-legged on a smooth boulder, surrounded by his Pokémon.
Metang floated beside him, glowing faintly with psychic energy.
Marowak, Skiploom, and Scorbunny stood nearby, watching intently as Rax concentrated.
Suddenly, the psychic aura around Metang intensified. A faint blue light enveloped Rax, flickering as if it might disappear at any moment.
Dead leaves and pebbles nearby began to rise into the air, caught in the growing psychic field.
With a sudden surge of power, Rax opened his eyes. His pupils glowed bright blue, and he extended his hand toward a nearby stone.
The stone, wrapped in psychic energy, lifted into the air and shot forward, colliding with another rock.
Bang!
The sound echoed through the valley as both stones shattered.
Smiling, Rax turned his gaze toward a nearby tree as thick as a person. Psychic energy wrapped around the tree, and with a forceful pull, the tree was uprooted, dirt and roots flying everywhere.
Just as Rax was about to crush the tree, Metang suddenly roared behind him.
"Metang!"
The sound jolted Rax out of his trance, and the psychic glow in his eyes vanished. The tree crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Rax exhaled sharply, realizing what had happened.
---
psychic and Control
"No wonder trainers like Sabrina and Caitlin have such difficulty controlling their psychic," Rax muttered, still shaken.
Psychic energy seemed to amplify emotions, making it easy to lose control and cause destruction.
Rax turned to his team.
"From now on, if I ever lose control like that, don't hesitate to stop me. Wake me up, no matter what!"
The Pokémon exchanged uneasy glances. Stop him? How are we supposed to handle power like that?!
Despite their concerns, they nodded, agreeing to do their best if such a situation arose.
---
A New Journey
After three days of practicing restraint, Rax set out once again. His psychic powers were now under better control, but he decided to keep them hidden unless absolutely necessary.
Eventually, Rax and his team arrived at Hearthome City , a historical and vibrant city known for its unique blend of ancient culture and modern innovation.
After settling in at the Pokémon Center, Rax called Professor Rowan's lab to check in.
Uesugi answered the call, looking a bit disheveled but immediately brightening when he saw Rax.
"Rax! You're finally checking in. How's the journey been?"
"Good! I just reached Hearthome City," Rax replied, noting Uesugi's tired appearance. "You look... worn out. Everything okay over there?"
Uesugi yawned, waving dismissively.
"It's nothing. The research on evolution has hit a roadblock. We're missing a key catalyst... but that's our problem, not yours."
Before Rax could respond, Uesugi perked up.
"Oh, by the way, check out the Hearthome Arena! It's a fascinating place. You'd probably enjoy it."
"I'll look into it," Rax said, then quickly shifted the conversation.
"Actually, I wanted to ask for a favor. Scorbunny's been growing rapidly, and it's close to breaking through to the senior level. I'm worried about how the short growth cycle might affect it. Could you or Professor Rowan take a look?"
---
Rax ended the call feeling reassured. With Scorbunny's health on his mind and the promise of new challenges in Hearthome City, his journey continued.
