Pokemon: This Gary is Very Different

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Oldale Town and Registration

Under Gary's shameless manipulation, Rosa, who had just met him, also agreed to travel with him, so the two people with the same goal began their journey in the Hoenn region.

"Gary, where are we going next?"

Since Rosa had decided to travel with Gary, she asked him about the itinerary.

"Let's go to the nearby Oldale Town, and then head to Petalburg City," Gary said after thinking for a while.

"Hey, why?"

It was Rosa's first time in the Hoenn region, and she was unfamiliar with the place, so she asked in confusion.

"First of all, the nearest Pokémon Center is in Oldale Town, so we have to go there to register for the Hoenn region's Ever Grande Conference.

Secondly, to get to Petalburg City, we have to pass through Oldale Town," Gary explained after a little thought.

"Is that so!"

After listening to Gary's explanation, Rosa suddenly realized it and then looked at Gary with a smile: "You are really reliable, Gary."

"It's okay," Gary felt a little embarrassed after Rosa said that.

"Then let's go to Oldale Town first," Rosa agreed since her companion Gary had made a plan.

"Well, let's go together. The goal is Oldale Town!"

After determining the next goal, Gary raised his arm and took the lead.

"Okay!"

After responding, Rosa hurriedly followed, walking side by side with Gary, and they headed towards Oldale Town together.

On the way to Oldale Town, Rosa was curious about everything around her, so she kept looking around, admiring the different scenery and different Pokémon from the Unova region.

"This Pokémon seems to be a Wurmple, and there are two types of evolution. It's amazing!"

Rosa used the Pokédex to identify the Pokémon that were different from the Unova region one by one.

Suddenly, Rosa discovered something and showed a surprised expression. She exclaimed, "Look, Gary, those three Pokémon seem to be a family!"

Gary heard Rosa's exclamation, so he looked in her direction and saw three blue little guys, immediately recognizing them.

"So these are the three little guys; they are a family," Gary said with a certain and affirmative tone.

He just didn't know if these three guys were the Marill family who taught May, who had just debuted, a lesson.

"Gary, do you know them?"

Rosa looked over curiously.

"They are Azurill, Marill, and Azumarill. Among them, Marill and Azumarill are the first and second evolutions of Azurill," Gary explained in detail, facing Rosa's curious eyes.

"They are really a family!"

After listening to Gary's explanation, she continued to focus on the three Pokémon: "They are so cute!"

"Since you like them, do you want to catch them?"

Gary saw that Rosa liked them, so he reminded her.

"This... forget it," Rosa shook her head after thinking for a while.

Gary heard this and looked at Rosa with doubtful eyes.

"I think they are living a happy life as a family, so there is no need for me to disturb them," Rosa explained her opinion, seeing what Gary meant.

"That's right," Gary quickly understood after listening to Rosa's words.

Then he gave Rosa a thumbs up and praised her: "Rosa, you are really loving!"

"No way," Rosa immediately touched her head and felt a little embarrassed after being praised by Gary.

"Let's continue on our way. It's getting late," Rosa said after feeling embarrassed for a while and looking at the sky.

"Okay," Gary agreed.

After passing by the episode of the Azurill family, in order to hurry on their way, Gary and Rosa did not stay any longer but quickened their pace and rushed towards Oldale Town.

Because Gary and Rosa were moving faster, they arrived at Oldale Town before it was completely dark.

"It's already dark today. Let's stay here after registering," Gary suggested to Rosa, standing in Oldale Town and looking at the completely dark sky.

"Okay," Rosa agreed, and the two followed the instructions of the town and came to the Pokémon Center in Oldale Town.

After arriving at the Pokémon Center, Gary took Rosa to the lobby where Nurse Joy was.

After seeing Gary and Rosa, Nurse Joy smiled and said, "Hello, how can I help you?"

"Hello, Nurse Joy, we want to register for the Hoenn League's Ever Grande Conference. Please help us register," Gary immediately told her about their situation.

"Okay, please wait," Nurse Joy began to operate the computer in front of her and registered Gary and Rosa for the Ever Grande Conference.

After some operations, Nurse Joy said to Gary and Rosa, "Please show your ID cards."

Hearing this, Gary and Rosa took out the Pokédexes they had obtained from Professor Birch not long ago and handed them to Nurse Joy.

After taking Gary and Rosa's Pokédexes, Nurse Joy continued to operate.

After spending a few minutes, Nurse Joy completed the registration for Gary and Rosa.

"Gary and Rosa, you have completed the registration for the Ever Grande Conference. Here are your Pokédexes. Please keep them," Nurse Joy said, returning the Pokédexes to Gary and Rosa and also handing over some information about the Hoenn region and the Ever Grande Conference, as well as the badge case.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy," Gary and Rosa thanked her after receiving the items.

"You're welcome," Nurse Joy replied.

After completing the registration for the Ever Grande Conference, Gary and Rosa also booked a room at the Pokémon Center and stayed there for the night.

The next morning, Gary and Rosa got up and set off, leaving Oldale Town and heading towards Petalburg City.

Of course, before going to Petalburg City, Gary and his group also visited the ancient murals outside Oldale Town and took some photos.

As for the ruins, because of Ash and his group's intervention, they were opened to the public for some researchers to study.

As for why Gary took these photos, it was for his grandfather, Professor Oak, who loves research.
