Chapter 2.4 - The Thief (9)
“How did you know I was back in Korea and contact me? Especially this early in the morning.”
Without any greeting, Baek Hyeyun sat in front of Tae Woowon. He pushed a cold chamomile tea toward her, which he had ordered in advance.
“When did you get back?”
“Yesterday. I just need to grab a few things, and I’ll be ready to go. But why did you call me? You’ve still got a few days before you leave… Oh, have you finished everything?”
Baek Hyeyun asked with a bright, expectant smile. That smile was sure to disappear soon, and Tae Woowon imagined that he might even get hit a few times. He rubbed his tired eyes, bracing for what was to come.
“Sorry, I don’t think I can do it.”
“…What?”
Baek Hyeyun’s face twisted in confusion as she opened her eyes wider. Tae Woowon glanced down at the warm coffee cup he was holding. His shadow made the black liquid even darker. As he moved his hand, ripples formed on the surface, and in doing so, revealed a faint glimmer.
“My priorities have changed.”
Tae Woowon was planning to steal Lee Yesin.
“What… What do you mean by that?”
Baek Hyeyun forced a smile, trying to contain her anger. Tae Woowon tapped the coffee cup with his fingernail. At first, he planned to do it alone. But no matter how much he thought about it, stealing Lee Yesin perfectly by himself was impossible. Lee Yesin was the third generation of a conglomerate family and a public figure. A sloppy attempt to whisk him away wouldn’t be enough to have him completely. To finish things cleanly, either Lee Yesin had to fake his death and deceive everyone, or those with power over him had to be taken out. Whether it was the former or the latter, Tae Woowon couldn’t do it alone.
“Hey. Explain properly.”
When Tae Woowon remained silent, Baek Hyeyun dropped her smile and frowned fiercely. Tae Woowon raised his eyes to meet hers.
“The thing you’re after—unless it’s going to disappear somewhere, delay it until after the Spain job.”
“Hah.” Baek Hyeyun let out a derisive breath. She threw aside the straw from her glass and downed her drink in one gulp. She slammed the glass down with a loud bang and wiped her lips roughly. Anger flickered in her eyes. Tae Woowon poured fuel on the fire.
“I need your help.”
“You son of a bitch. What did you just say?”
Baek Hyeyun swung her hand, knocking over the glasses on the table with a crash. A café employee, who had been dozing in the corner, jerked awake, wide-eyed.
“You think you can just say anything with your mouth, huh? Should I rip it open to your ears so you can spit out what I want to hear?”
Baek Hyeyun leaned forward, bringing her face close to his. Tae Woowon met her gaze with a calm expression and finally spoke.
“Three times.”
“What?”
“Three times. I’ll run as many jobs as you want.”
Tae Woowon didn’t often work with others or cause much trouble, but his skills were undeniable. The idea of him becoming Baek Hyeyun’s puppet was certainly an enticing offer.
“…Five times.”
Though she looked ready to burn him alive with her glare, Baek Hyeyun offered a begrudgingly positive response. Tae Woowon nodded.
“Deal.”
“And a slap.”
Before Tae Woowon could react, Baek Hyeyun slapped him hard across the face. His head snapped to the side from the impact. Tae Woowon licked the inside of his mouth, straightened his head, and watched as Baek Hyeyun shook out her hand. She then pulled out her wallet and approached the employee.
“For the broken glass and your trouble. And two iced Americanos, please.”
She handed the employee a hefty check, then sat back down in front of Tae Woowon. After adjusting her disheveled clothes and hair, she pulled out a thin laptop from her bag.
“Your father’s matter is off the table now.”
“Yeah.”
Tae Woowon’s nonchalant response made Baek Hyeyun scoff.
“This is ridiculous. Sign this first. But damn, how can I trust a piece of paper? Huh?”
She angrily pounded at her keyboard as she spoke, frowning with irritation. Tae Woowon lightly rubbed his still-stinging cheek before pulling out a velvet pouch and placing it in front of Baek Hyeyun.
“Twelve billion won as collateral.”
“Twelve billion? You think that’s money to me?”
“Then install a tracking device. I’ll take a sleeping pill and let you plant as many as you want wherever you like.”
He tossed the velvet pouch in front of her. Baek Hyeyun opened it with a dissatisfied expression and peered inside.
“What? This is twelve billion?”
“The gem in the center is Sandrite.”
“…What?”
On the second floor of the villa, inside the dressing room, there were expensive clothes and all sorts of rare jewels. The Sandrite necklace was displayed beautifully on the top shelf, in the place of honor.
“Is it real?”
“Go ahead, get it appraised if you don’t believe me.”
Baek Hyeyun squinted her eyes, examining the necklace carefully. Just then, the employee who had been quietly cleaning up the broken glass returned with two cups of coffee. Thanks to Baek Hyeyun’s generous compensation, the employee didn’t seem too upset. “Thank you,” Baek Hyeyun said, as she put the necklace away in her handbag and stirred her coffee with a straw. The employee wiped the messy table one last time before leaving.
“What are you planning to steal?”
Once the employee was far enough, Baek Hyeyun asked in a slightly calmer tone. Tae Woowon traced his thumb along the damp surface of the coffee cup before slowly responding.
“Lee Yesin.”
Baek Hyeyun’s expression turned incredulous at Tae Woowon’s reply. He let out a small laugh at her reaction.
The Sandrite necklace was the final weight. If, after discovering and stealing it, Tae Woowon could leave the house without Lee Yesin, he would. But Tae Woowon placed the Sandrite necklace on the side of Lee Yesin. The scale tipped completely. After days of witnessing messy scenes and intensely debating, he had come to a conclusion. Tae Woowon was determined to possess Lee Yesin by any means necessary. Once he had made up his mind, he didn’t hesitate to shatter the mental scale.
“You mean Yeho Group’s spoiled youngest son, right?” Baek Hyeyun asked, biting her lip with a complicated expression, still trying to make sense of the situation. Tae Woowon nodded. Of all people, it had to be Yeho Group’s Lee Yesin. Baek Hyeyun muttered to herself and let out a long sigh.
“But… this is my first time stealing a person, so what exactly do you want?”
“What else? I want to be the only person who can control him.”
“…Are you planning to lock him up or something?”
“If necessary, yes. But I’m not just talking about Lee Yesin himself. I want to steal him, put my name on him, and claim ownership. Anyone who touches him after that? They’ll have to deal with me, obviously.”
Baek Hyeyun’s face scrunched up, showing no mercy. It was understandable. Tae Woowon was openly declaring that he intended to take on Yeho Group, a global conglomerate.
“If you’re thinking that big, no matter how you plan it, you and I alone can’t steal him. We’ll need more people. You hate team play.”
“I know. Find the right people. But leave
The Well
out.”
Kim Yeonseong was skilled, but dangerous. Considering that the target this time was Lee Yesin, it would be awkward to work with someone who had other intentions toward him. Tae Woowon rarely took interest in people. Actually, he didn’t show much interest in anything, people or objects alike. But if Kim Yeonseong found out that Tae Woowon was leading a plan to steal Lee Yesin and collaborating with others, things could get complicated. After all, Kim Yeonseong had once bad-mouthed Lee Yesin in front of Tae Woowon. It didn’t hurt to be cautious.
“…I heard you weren’t into men. How did he manage to seduce you?”
Tae Woowon glanced coldly at Baek Hyeyun. His relationship with Lee Yesin had nothing to do with backdoor dealings or seduction. He didn’t know what misunderstanding Baek Hyeyun had, nor did he care. He also had no intention of explaining the situation to her, so he played along with her words.
“The backdoor looks tempting, I admit. Haven’t tried it yet, though.”
Baek Hyeyun paused her typing and quietly stared at Tae Woowon. He raised his coffee cup with a sly smile.
“If you have any more annoying questions, ask them now.”
“…Forget it. What’s the deadline?”
Baek Hyeyun shook her head slightly and asked, gauging Tae Woowon’s mood as he laughed while suppressing his anger. Tae Woowon took a few sips of his coffee before putting the cup down.
“There isn’t one. Just steal him. Perfectly.”
Baek Hyeyun nodded and began typing quickly again. Tae Woowon watched her hands moving frantically before handing her a file he had brought with him.
“It’s about his personal finances. He lost a lot of money when he was 19. Look into it. We might be able to use it.”
Baek Hyeyun looked up, accepted the file, and began flipping through the documents. As she scanned the pages, a printed photo slipped out and fell to the floor. She picked it up, her face showing curiosity.
“What’s this?”
“Look into him too. Go Hangyeol.”
Baek Hyeyun stared at the photo of Lee Yesin smiling brightly alongside a man with a nametag that read ‘Go Hangyeol.’ He was wearing the same school uniform as Lee Yesin, also smiling brightly.
“Got it. But what about payment?”
Baek Hyeyun’s face hardened as she asked the question. It was clear that offering too little would be a bad idea. Tae Woowon had already prepared an answer that would satisfy her.
“All the leftovers from this job.”
“…Like what?”
“Lee Yesin’s assets. If that’s not enough, I’ll throw in my own.”
“What? Are you crazy?”
“Doesn’t it look like it?”
Tae Woowon smiled widely as he looked at the shocked Baek Hyeyun. The recent lack of sleep had made his head feel hot. His body, fearing his mind might collapse, was producing endorphins. Tae Woowon quickly, and quietly, dropped his smile.
“Any questions?”
“…None.”
Tae Woowon nodded, grabbed the wallet he had left on the table, and stood up.
“Let me know once the plan is set.”
With those final words, he left the café.
Lee Yesin was still quietly sleeping in his room. Tae Woowon had already confirmed it through the monitor, but upon arriving home, he went straight to Lee Yesin’s room. He was curled up at the edge of the large bed, lying on his side. Tae Woowon sat quietly at the bedside. After gazing at Lee Yesin’s face for a while, he turned his eyes toward the window, where the faint morning light was breaking through. The days were getting longer.
The roses of May in Spain were out of reach, and his father’s whereabouts would likely remain unknown as well. But Tae Woowon wasn’t impatient. The thing he needed to get back from his father wasn’t of great importance. It was just something Tae Woowon was curious about. If he knew, he’d feel relieved, but it wasn’t a necessity. Maybe he would even regret knowing. If it was something he had to know, he’d find out one way or another. As he quietly pondered, his hand resting loosely by his side, Lee Yesin clutched at the hem of his shirt. Tae Woowon lowered his gaze to the wrinkled fabric at his waist.
“…I want to sleep more….”
With his eyes closed, Lee Yesin spoke in a sunken voice. Tae Woowon listened silently to what seemed like his sleep talk. It was as if Lee Yesin didn’t even know whose clothing hem he was holding.
“…I was… just trying to run away… I just wanted to sleep….”
Maybe he knew after all. Though his mouth no longer moved, Tae Woowon could hear the unspoken words in his head:
But why do you look at me like I’m dirty?
That’s just how it is. It’s disgusting to watch something you desire splashed in filth. What made it worse was that no one had forced Lee Yesin into the muck—he had willingly walked into it. Wanting someone who had no hesitation in ruining himself? Tae Woowon thought his standards had sunk too low. Running a hand through his unruly hair, he stood up. Lee Yesin’s hand, which had been holding his hem, fell limply. Without looking back, Tae Woowon left Lee Yesin’s room.
٠ ࣪⭑
Around 1 PM, earlier than usual, Lee Yesin emerged from his room. He wasn’t dressed to go out, just in casual indoor clothes, rubbing his eyes as he rummaged through the fridge. He pulled out a sandwich and a drink prepared by the housekeeper and sat down at the table. Tae Woowon, who was typing on his laptop from the couch in the living room, briefly glanced at him before returning his focus to the screen.
There wasn’t much to report to Chairman Lee. Just sex, sex, and more sex—only the locations and the names of faceless partners changed. It was frustrating writing such useless content, but he couldn’t omit it. His typing was half-hearted when Lee Yesin caused a commotion.
Thud.
Drip.
The drink carton spilled its contents. Lee Yesin paused, staring at the orange liquid dripping onto the floor, then slowly stood up.
“Just leave it.”
“…”
Without responding, Lee Yesin went to fetch a rag from the sink. So now he was using a rag on the spilled drink. What’s he even doing?
“I said, leave it.”
Tae Woowon closed his laptop and approached. The rag squelched as Lee Yesin stubbornly crouched, wiping the floor with the now-heavy, soaked cloth. Tae Woowon grabbed the rag from his hands, but Lee Yesin, biting his lip, snatched it back. He went to the sink, wrung it out, and returned to continue wiping the remaining liquid from the floor.
Standing in front of him with arms crossed, Tae Woowon looked down at Lee Yesin’s head. The tension in Lee Yesin’s hand grew as he scrubbed the floor until it squeaked. Then, suddenly, he threw the rag aside.
Hah, hah…
It wasn’t exhaustion that made his breath so ragged—it was closer to seething frustration.
Time seemed to stop. Lee Yesin sat motionless, breathing heavily, while Tae Woowon simply watched. The tense, hot-cold atmosphere was broken by the sudden chime of the doorbell. Still kneeling, Lee Yesin stood and walked to the front door. He opened it without hesitation, as if expecting the visitor.
“Hyung. I’m here… What happened? Your clothes are wet.”
“It’s nothing. Just wait a moment; I’ll go change.”
Lee Yesin let Kwon Heechan into the living room before retreating to his room. Kwon Heechan fiddled with the back of his head, turning to look at Tae Woowon, who was standing blankly in the kitchen.
“Hello.”
“Yeah.”
Tae Woowon barely responded, bent down to pick up the rag tossed in the corner, and took it to the sink. The pink cloth, now more of a mop, was washed under running water. Whether or not they had been in touch recently, this was the first time Kwon Heechan had come to see Lee Yesin since he dropped out of school. Kwon Heechan had once claimed that Lee Yesin was all he had, yet he didn’t seem to care much about him. After wringing out the rag, Tae Woowon resumed cleaning the spot Lee Yesin had left unfinished. That’s when Kwon Heechan’s feet came into view.
“Not sure if you heard, but I’m taking Yesin-hyung to a movie.”
Tae Woowon confirmed that the floor was clean and squeezed the rag once more before draping it over the workbench. After washing his hands, he turned to head to his room when Kwon Heechan grabbed his arm.
“Are you coming with us? You don’t have to if you don’t want to. Hyung’s quiet when he’s with me. And we’re not even… in that kind of relationship.”
Of course, Tae Woowon had been the only one unaware. Everyone else knew about Lee Yesin’s countless flings—drivers, bodyguards, secretaries, even Kim Yeonseong and Kwon Heechan. They had even asked him,
Have you already slept with Lee Yesin?
Not understanding their implications, Tae Woowon had ignored them. It was worse than drunk driving—sleeping around with just anyone.
“Yesin-hyung really likes me. We’re like family. You don’t have to come.”
“Don’t overstep. That’s for me to decide.”
Tae Woowon brushed off Kwon Heechan’s hand with a small flick. Kwon Heechan’s eyes widened briefly, and then he shrugged.
“I just thought you looked tired.”
Tae Woowon couldn’t believe the audacity of this kid. With a dry laugh, he brushed past him and went to get ready to leave.
Was it really just a movie? Lee Yesin, dressed more conservatively than usual, climbed into the car. The situation was irritating enough to sharpen Tae Woowon’s nerves.
“Aren’t you busy? You must have a lot going on with fittings…”
Lee Yesin’s voice was a little downcast. Kwon Heechan met his eyes, smiling brightly as he shook his head.
“No way. Like I wouldn’t have time to hang out with you, hyung? Honestly, I got into university because of you. I should be the one apologizing for not visiting more often.”
It was something you might say to a princess trapped in a tower. But Lee Yesin wasn’t trapped. Chairman Lee had only asked him not to cause trouble, and Tae Woowon had never stopped him from going anywhere. Yet Lee Yesin remained shrunken in on himself. He gazed at Kwon Heechan, the way a poor man looks at a wealthy one, and smiled faintly.
“No, you call often enough. Thanks.”
“Then treat me to popcorn. I want the caramel one, loaded with sugar.”
“Sure.”
The small talk continued, and though Tae Woowon had ears, he couldn’t help overhearing as he parked near the cinema. Lee Yesin got out first, and Kwon Heechan followed, flashing a smile.
“Oh, we’re grabbing dinner after—want to join us? I’ll call you.”
“Get out.”
Kwon Heechan raised his eyebrows in a playful shrug before closing the door. Since it was a no-parking zone, Tae Woowon drove off, parking at a nearby café. He lit a cigarette as he walked to the smoking area and dialed Baek Hyeyun. After a few rings, she answered in a groggy voice.
“…What?”
“If you’re not too busy, look into someone for me.”
“Unbelievable. I’m drowning in work.”
It sounded like she was waking up as she snapped back at him. When Tae Woowon didn’t respond, she sighed and asked,
Who?
Tae Woowon exhaled a long plume of smoke.
“Kwon Heechan.”
Who’s that?
“Lee Yesin’s college friend.”
Got it. Oh, I found a hacker. There’s a lot of info to dig up, and Yeho Group’s security is no joke, so I can’t do it alone. They want an advance payment.
“Send me the amount and account details.”
Okay.
He hung up and finished his cigarette.
“Mom, look over there. There are so many toys.”
The small boy walking hand-in-hand with a young woman pointed to a stall. He tugged her hand, clearly wanting one of the toys. The woman told him no, reminding him that he already had many toys and had even received an expensive Children’s Day gift. But the boy refused to move, planting his feet firmly on the ground and puffing out his cheeks. Finding his pouting cute, the woman shook her head in exasperation and walked over to the stall with him to pick out a toy. The boy beamed happily, and the elderly vendor watching them smiled playfully.
It was near the end of spring, and the warm sunshine heated the asphalt. The once yellowish leaves were starting to turn green, fluffy white clouds drifted lazily across the blue sky, and the gray roads were filled with laughter. The world seemed peaceful, but Tae Woowon was anything but.
٠ ࣪⭑
Tae Woowon sat on a flowerbed near the movie theater, waiting for Lee Yesin to come down. However, it was Kwon Heechan who appeared first, not someone Tae Woowon was eager to see.
“Yesin hyung went to the bathroom. He’ll be down soon. I came down first to ask you to move the car.”
Tae Woowon glanced up at Kwon Heechan, his unpredictable demeanor as puzzling as ever, and replied politely enough, “It’s nearby.”
Kwon Heechan nodded and sat down next to him.
“It’ll be quiet for a few days.”
Tae Woowon, still not used to his unpredictable tone, merely glanced at him before Kwon Heechan continued with a grin, “Sunday’s the big day.”
“What big day?” Tae Woowon asked.
“That’s a secret. Oh, hyung, you’re here?” Kwon Heechan said as Lee Yesin arrived, wiping his wet hands and silently observing the two sitting together. Kwon Heechan pulled a handkerchief from his back pocket and handed it to Lee Yesin. “Thanks,” Lee Yesin said softly as he wiped his hands.
“I’m off. Take care. See you later.”
“Heechan, your handkerchief.”
“Give it to me next time. See ya!”
With a cheerful wave, Kwon Heechan left. Tae Woowon watched him go before standing up.
“Wait.”
As he walked toward the nearby parking garage to get the car, Lee Yesin followed. Tae Woowon glanced back at him briefly but continued walking in silence. Lee Yesin lit a cigarette, and the smoke trailed behind him as they made their way through a quiet alley.
When they reached the parking lot, Tae Woowon unlocked the car and climbed into the driver’s seat. Lee Yesin finished his cigarette outside before belatedly getting into the back seat. As soon as the door closed, Tae Woowon started the engine.
“I won’t be going out for three days.”
After they had been driving for a while, Lee Yesin suddenly spoke up. Tae Woowon glanced at him through the rearview mirror. Lee Yesin was scrolling through his phone, his fingers moving absentmindedly.
“What do you want me to do with that information?” Tae Woowon asked, not in a sarcastic tone, but genuinely wondering what the point of the statement was. However, the way Lee Yesin received it clearly rubbed him the wrong way, as he frowned and looked up.
“Congratulations on not having to see anything disgusting for a while.”
The venom in Lee Yesin’s voice was shocking, considering how he had acted like a victim in front of Tae Woowon before. The sudden shift in his attitude was baffling.
“Am I supposed to thank you for that?”
“Want me to spoil the surprise? Absolutely not.”
Lee Yesin smirked bitterly. They locked eyes in the rearview mirror, and Tae Woowon smiled back, amused by his childishness.
“What’s the matter? Are guys not willing to sleep with you anymore because you’re too used up?”
“…….”
Lee Yesin’s smirk disappeared, and he stared at Tae Woowon with a blank expression. Tae Woowon, returning his gaze to the road ahead, spoke again.
“If you’ve got something to say, don’t beat around the bush. Just say it.”
“I hate you.”
“Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
Lee Yesin responded without emotion, glaring at Tae Woowon’s reflection before looking down at his phone again. Neither of them spoke another word for the rest of the drive home.
That night, the light in Lee Yesin’s room stayed on late. He sat curled up on the sofa, watching TV and spending a sleepless night. Tae Woowon, rubbing his tired eyes, stared at the monitor showing a live feed of Lee Yesin.
Suddenly, Lee Yesin reached for a pillow at the edge of the sofa, pulling it close. After a while, he shifted, as if uncomfortable, adjusting the pillow and his position repeatedly. Frustrated, he eventually threw the pillow away and jumped to his feet, walking toward the bed. Tae Woowon switched the camera view. He watched as Lee Yesin grabbed a bottle of pills from the bedside table, poured some into his hand, and swallowed them without water. Then he lay down, pulling the blanket tightly around himself. He curled into a ball, burying his face in the blanket. Tae Woowon could almost hear the rustling sound from the monitor.
Why did he want him so badly? Especially someone so complicated.
There was a moment, right before he was about to break, where Tae Woowon wondered whether it was worth it to take on the huge adversary that was Yeho Group just to get him. But no matter how much he deliberated, the conclusion was always the same. There was no reason behind the greed that had unknowingly taken root. It’s human instinct to covet something precious. Tae Woowon wanted Lee Yesin. And he had no intention of reconsidering that desire.
٠ ࣪⭑
Becoming Lee Yesin’s bodyguard had been a coincidence, but as things progressed, it seemed like the perfect arrangement. A thief watching over the very thing he intended to steal—it was hard to imagine a better setup. If you were to list the advantages, there weren’t enough fingers on two hands. But, unfortunately, Lee Yesin wasn’t an object. He was a free-thinking human being, and as such, engaged in his chaotic sexual affairs. And Tae Woowon, who was more of a watchdog than a bodyguard, was obliged to witness it all. The precious gem that would eventually fall into Tae Woowon’s hands was being carelessly handled right in front of him, and it was entirely voluntary.
“Ah, crazy… Hey, one finger’s in already. Wanna join? Looks like it’ll fit.”
“No. Lee Yesin doesn’t like two things inside. And your dick is so small, of course a finger fits. You really know how to introduce yourself, huh?”
“Enough talk, hurry up and finish. Yesin feels better down there than in his throat.”
As Kwon Heechan predicted, Lee Yesin had been quiet for a few days, spending his time holed up in front of the TV. He ate in front of it, and aside from sleeping, the sofa became an extension of him. Like a lazy beast, he let the days pass with TV and medication. But the night before some unknown “D-day,” he made his way to a penthouse in a high-rise building. By the time Tae Woowon parked the car and came upstairs, the party was already in full swing.
There were a lot of people. Several strangers were penetrating him, and even more were swinging their genitals as they pleased. Lee Yesin was lying on the bed in the largest room, drinking and getting a blowjob. Some of the partygoers eyed Tae Woowon with interest, but Lee Yesin stopped them before anything happened.
“Not him. Don’t touch.”
He tossed his drink aside and grabbed the hair of the guy giving him a blowjob, pulling him up for a deep kiss while staring at Tae Woowon. That was three hours ago.
“Ah… ah… this is… insane… ugh….”
“Hurry up and finish.”
“What number are you? Your dick’s the biggest; can’t you wait a little longer?”
The short guy who had just ejaculated on Lee Yesin’s face asked while rubbing his semen into Lee Yesin’s tongue with his fingers.
“Shut up. We’ve gone through him so many times, he’s loose enough that it doesn’t matter anymore.”
The guy with the biggest penis chugged some alcohol before getting back up. He grabbed Lee Yesin’s waist, which had collapsed onto the bed.
“Mmm…”
“Yesin, does your dick hurt? Should I untie it?”
“Ah… ugh…”
The man casually stroked Lee Yesin’s penis a couple of times. A red ribbon was tied around its base. Lee Yesin waved his hands weakly, shaking his hips.
“Hey, did you drug him?”
“We spiked the drinks earlier. Everyone took some. Yesin just had a little more than the rest.”
A guy with a limp penis plopped down on the couch, lighting a cigarette.
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
The guy entering Lee Yesin glanced at Tae Woowon as he asked. Sitting apart from the others in a chair near a small table, Tae Woowon paused mid-motion as he was about to light his own cigarette. His eyes moved to Lee Yesin, trembling as his body jerked in response to the man’s thrusts.
“It’s not dangerous. The stuff has no addictive properties, and the effects wear off in about six hours even if you drink the whole bottle.”
“Damn, our Yesin’s gonna be dried up by the end of tonight.”
“That’s why we tied it up.”
The men laughed, playing with Lee Yesin’s body. Lee Yesin, shaking from side to side, narrowed his eyes, releasing suppressed moans and begging for more. Some guys from the living room, where an orgy was also underway, came in from time to time, penetrating Lee Yesin’s rear. Others entered the room, begging to be allowed to join him on the bed.
“This is Lee Yesin’s private room, kid. Go play outside,” one of the men said after pulling out of Lee Yesin and tying off his third condom.
“Yeah, everyone’s giving all their love to Yesin,” the guy laughed, toying with his drink.
“No doubt. He’s the prettiest. No arguments there.”
One guy approached Tae Woowon’s table, looking to sit across from him on a single-seater. Tae Woowon extended his leg and kicked the chair.
“Get lost. You stink.”
The guy gave a drunken, incredulous laugh, tilting his head.
“…But seriously, who are you? Is Yesin on probation or something? You wouldn’t let him do this if that were the case.”
The guy grinned, glancing at Lee Yesin as he straddled another man, moving his hips.
“You’ve slept with him too, right? Are you part of the game…? Oh, wait, you can’t even get hard. Did you sneak away? Or do guys just not do it for you? Then why are you here?”
“Got a cigarette?”
Ignoring the man’s barrage of questions, Tae Woowon asked. He was out of smokes, and waiting around for Lee Yesin’s sex party to end had his fingers itching.
“There are some cartons in the living room. Smoke whatever you like.”
Tae Woowon grabbed his lighter and got up. After hours of sitting, his legs felt stiff. Massaging his temples, which were starting to throb, he headed to the living room bar. He scanned the piles of cigarettes, grabbed a pack, and slipped it into his pocket.
“Ah… ugh… please… help…!”
A guy with yellow hair, bent over the bar, moaned as he was penetrated. He grabbed Tae Woowon’s wrist as he passed, but Tae Woowon shook him off. The young man with bloodshot eyes who was thrusting into the yellow-haired guy laughed and slapped the man’s rear. Wincing, Tae Woowon reached for his lighter.
Click.
“….”
He stared at his hand. The cheap lighter hadn’t even sparked. He hadn’t even spun the wheel yet.
Click.
From the room where Lee Yesin was, the shutter sound clicked again. Tae Woowon grabbed a large champagne bottle from the bar and smashed it down.
Crash!
“Ah!”
Why did he want it so badly? It was so troublesome.
Just before breaking the scale, he wondered if he should confront a large enemy like Yeho Group to obtain him. But no matter how much he thought about it, there was only one conclusion. There was no reason for the greed that had arisen unconsciously. It was human instinct to desire something precious. Tae Woowon wanted to possess Lee Yesin. And he had no intention of reconsidering it.

Getting a job as Lee Yesin’s bodyguard had been a coincidence, but given how things turned out, it couldn’t have been a better position. A thief watching over what he intended to steal? If he were to list the advantages, he wouldn’t have enough fingers to count. However, unfortunately, Lee Yesin was not an object. As a free human being with agency, Lee Yesin engaged in chaotic sex for reasons unknown, and Tae Woowon, who read as Lee Yesin’s bodyguard and wrote himself as Lee Yesin’s watcher, had the obligation to witness that sex. The jewel that would eventually fall into Tae Woowon’s hands was rolling around indecently right in front of him—something it wanted.
“Ah, this is crazy. Hey, do you want to put a finger in? I think it’ll fit.”
“No. Lee Yesin doesn’t like two in at once. And your dick is so small that a finger fits. You really make a big introduction of yourself.”
“Forget it. Let’s hurry up and switch. Yesin prefers the back over the throat.”
As Kwon Heechan said, Lee Yesin had been behaving himself for a few days. He stayed holed up in the room, watching TV. He ate in front of the TV and became one with the sofa except when he was sleeping. Like a lazy beast, he spent days drifting away with TV and drugs. On the night before an unknown D-Day, he headed to the penthouse of a high-rise building. When Tae Woowon parked and went upstairs, the party had already begun.
There were many people. A few unfamiliar faces had their dicks inserted into the back, while more men were shaking their genitals according to their preferences. Lee Yesin was sitting on the biggest bed, drinking and receiving oral sex. Some people showed interest and approached upon Tae Woowon’s arrival. Before the heated irritation could burst out, Lee Yesin stopped them.
“That one is off-limits. Don’t touch.”
Lee Yesin, who had thrown down the bottle as if to discard it, grabbed the hair of the man he was receiving oral sex from. He deeply kissed the man while looking at Tae Woowon. That was three hours ago.
“Ah, ah, crazy, fuck…! Hah….”
“Once you’re done, get out.”
“How many times have you gone? Since your dick is the biggest, can’t you wait a little longer to thrust?”
A short man who had splattered Lee Yesin’s face with semen asked. He inserted his fingers into Lee Yesin’s tiny mouth and smeared the semen on his tongue.
“Shut up. How many times have I turned him already? It doesn’t matter if you loosen up down there.”
The guy with the biggest dick drank heavily. He then grabbed the waist of the sprawled Lee Yesin, who lay face down, while raising his penis.
“Uh….”
“Yesin, does your dick hurt? Want me to untie it?”
“Ah, hu….”
The guy ran his hands over Lee Yesin’s genitals a couple of times. A red ribbon was tied around the base of Lee Yesin’s dick. Lee Yesin waved his hand and shook his hips.
“Hey, did you give him drugs?”
“I mixed it in his drink earlier. We all took it. Yesin took a bit more, though.”
The guy who had sat down with a limp dick lit a cigarette.
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
The guy pushing his dick into Lee Yesin’s ass glanced at Tae Woowon. Tae Woowon, sitting on a small table with a tense expression, looked up after lighting his cigarette. He watched as Lee Yesin trembled, swaying with the guy thrusting into him.
“It’s not dangerous. It’s non-addictive, and even if you drink a whole bottle, the effects wear off in six hours.”
“Crazy. Our Yesin is going to run out of cum today.”
“That’s why he’s tied up.”
The guys laughed and played with Lee Yesin’s body. Lee Yesin squirmed and closed his eyes. He let out suppressed moans and begged for more, asking to make his dick red. A few people, who had been engaging in an orgy in other rooms, occasionally entered the room to mess with Lee Yesin’s backdoor, while others pouted on the bed, asking to be filled.
“This is Lee Yesin’s exclusive room, so you go play outside, kid.”
The guy who had detached himself from Lee Yesin tied a third condom.
“Uh, Yesin is only for me.”
“He’s the prettiest. No arguments.”
With a giggle, the guy grabbed a drink and approached the table where Tae Woowon was sitting. He seemed intent on sitting in the armchair opposite.
“Get lost. You stink.”
The man laughed in disbelief, his face flushed. Then he tilted his head.
“…But who the hell are you? Isn’t Yesin in his probation period? If so, he shouldn’t be doing this.”
The guy grinningly looked at Lee Yesin, who was riding on top of him.
“You’ve slept with Yesin, right? Isn’t it okay to play together? You’re not hard. Did you secretly take it out? Or does it not work with guys? But why are you here?”
“Do you have a cigarette?”
Ignoring the noisy man’s question, he asked. He was out of cigarettes. With his hazy brain, he sat idly, waiting for Lee Yesin’s sex party to end, feeling a tingle in his fingertips.
“There are some packs in the living room. Just smoke any of them.”
Tae Woowon stood up with a lighter. It had been hours since he last stood, and his legs felt stiff. He pressed on his throbbing temples and went out to the living room, heading toward the bar. He scanned the stacks of various cigarettes and picked one pack.
“Ugh, huh…! Uh…! Save me…!”
The guy with yellow hair, who was bent over at the bar receiving a dick, grabbed Tae Woowon’s wrist. Tae Woowon shook off his hand. The young man, with crimson eyes who was thrusting into him, laughed as he spanked the yellow-haired guy’s ass. “Ah!” Tae Woowon raised the lighter at the sound of his scream. Click.
“……”
Tae Woowon looked down at his hand. The cheap lighter he held hadn’t produced any flames. He hadn’t even turned the wheel. Click. Once again, the shutter sound echoed from the room where Lee Yesin was. Tae Woowon lifted a large champagne bottle resting on the bar and slammed it down. Crash!
“Ah!”
The bottle shattered with a loud noise. The yellow-haired guy, who had been nearby, covered his mouth in shock and looked at Tae Woowon with a startled expression. The young man who had been thrusting behind him was equally surprised.
“Everyone out.”
“Uh, okay!”
The guys rolling on the sofa continued thrusting. Tae Woowon threw the glass he was holding at them.
“Ugh!”
“I said everyone out.”
“Who do you think you are, telling us to leave….”
“If you’re still here when I come out of that room again, I’ll rip your face off.”
Tae Woowon walked over to the room where Lee Yesin was, holding the broken bottle. Hearing his voice, the men stopped what they were doing and looked at Tae Woowon as he entered. Only Lee Yesin continued to moan and shake his waist. Tae Woowon closed the door behind him.
“Whoever took pictures, bring out your phone.”
“……”
“Come out while I’m still being nice.”
There were three men in the room, excluding Lee Yesin. One of them had just been rubbing his penis against Lee Yesin’s nipple and agilely came down from the bed. He approached Tae Woowon while massaging his neck.
“I took some selfies, so what?”
Smack! Tae Woowon slapped the man’s cheek. The foolish man, intoxicated by drugs and alcohol, fell to the floor with a loud thud. Tae Woowon slipped his foot beneath his abdomen, flipped him over, and raised the man’s chin with the tip of his shoe.
“Where’s your phone?”
“…Hey. That’s too much.”
The man who had pointed out the location of the cigarettes stepped forward. At that moment, the man under Tae Woowon grabbed his ankle. Without hesitation, Tae Woowon kicked the guy in the face.
“Ugh!”
Blood splattered. Tae Woowon brushed off his foot and looked up, pushing his hair back. The man who had been trying to stop Tae Woowon stood frozen with a confused expression.
“Uh, ah, stop… don’t….”
Lee Yesin was babbling incoherently. Tae Woowon approached Lee Yesin, grabbing the back of his head. Lee Yesin let out a scream as his penis was abruptly pulled out. With an indifferent expression, Tae Woowon threw Lee Yesin onto one side of the bed and thrust the broken bottle in front of the man lying beneath him.
“Ugh, ah, stop… don’t stop….”
Lee Yesin babbled incoherently. Tae Woowon approached Lee Yesin and grabbed the back of his head, pulling him. Lee Yesin screamed as his penis was suddenly pulled out. With an expressionless face, Tae Woowon threw Lee Yesin onto one side of the bed and held the broken bottle in front of the man lying beneath him.
“Where’s your phone? I won’t ask again.”
“I… I didn’t take any pictures.”
“What I’m asking isn’t that.”
“Do we really have to go this far?”
The man who had paused in shock from the kick approached Tae Woowon again. Tae Woowon, with an uninterested expression, brought the broken bottle even closer to the man’s face.
“I really don’t know! I didn’t even realize I was being recorded!”
Tae Woowon swung the hand holding the bottle. The man, hit in the side of the head by the bottle, collapsed helplessly.
“Do I really have to go this far? Hand it over.”
The last man left looked around in bewilderment. The living room beyond the door was noisy. The sound of the door opening and closing could be heard several times, likely as people left. Knowing that Lee Yesin was the child of a wealthy family, he was obediently listening to Tae Woowon’s orders. Tae Woowon threw the broken bottle into the corner of the room and walked toward the tense-faced man.
“…Down there…. It’s ticklish….”
Before he could take even one step, Lee Yesin grabbed Tae Woowon’s wrist. Tae Woowon merely looked down at Lee Yesin. His focus was a mess. He wasn’t even looking at Tae Woowon.
“Let go. Unless you want to get hit.”
“…Give me a dick down there….”
Tae Woowon roughly pulled his hand away. Lee Yesin swayed and lifted his body. Kneeling, he quietly looked up at Tae Woowon.
“…It’s ticklish….”
Cursing lingered on his lips.
“Yesin likes dicks. We taught him that. He’s just playing like this. It’s not like we’re selling him to some reporter.”
The man who had picked up his pants said that.
“Hand it over. Your phone.”
“Ugh….”
With no one pushing into him, Lee Yesin inserted his own finger into his hole. Tae Woowon swung his hand in irritation. Lee Yesin, hit in the back of the neck, fell forward. He grabbed Lee Yesin, who was trying to escape the bed, and pushed him back onto it.
“…What are you really doing? Why are you hitting him? No matter how much of a secretary he is….”
“How many lives do you have?”
“…What?”
Tae Woowon gestured to him.
“The nice words are over. It’d be quicker to smash your head and watch your eyeballs roll back, so come here.”
The man’s mouth opened slightly. But that was all; he didn’t approach Tae Woowon. Sighing heavily, Tae Woowon stepped closer. He quickly grabbed the man’s neck as he stumbled backward.
“…Cough…!”
The man, who had been trying to hold back a groan with his mouth closed, struggled to breathe and clawed at Tae Woowon’s hand. As his eyes slowly rolled back, the man pointed a finger at the bed, tears and snot streaming down his face. Tae Woowon threw the man toward the table. The man and the table crashed together, creating a loud noise. The man gasped for breath, struggling to fill his lungs as his ragged breaths echoed in the room.
“Where.”
“Cough, cough… huff….”
“Where.”
