Chapter 39.1
Talking about the fact that Gu Wenning started to receive harassment messages, there had been signs two days ago.
At first, Gu Wenning didn’t take it seriously because what he received was a long list of inexplicable symbols and words that normal people couldn’t understand. Gu Wenning only glanced at it and thought it might have been a child from some family who took their parent’s phone, was playing with it, and accidentally touched it randomly, sending him a strange message by mistake.
But later, one message after another was sent, and the content became more and more exaggerated and explicit. Even when Gu Wenning blocked the unknown number or deleted it, he still received similar messages. The other party was obviously stalking him, changing one strange mobile phone number after another to harass him, and even making phone calls.
Gu Wenning couldn’t bear the disturbance, so he chose to call the police.
He also considered changing his mobile phone number, but because changing his mobile number would involve updating a lot of information related to it, and Gu Wenning was a person who was afraid of trouble, he hadn’t yet decided to change his number immediately.
“You’re crazy. There must be something wrong with this kind of person’s brain.”
Fu Yanhe had a livid face and cursed angrily.
In front of Gu Wenning, Fu Yanhe was relatively restrained. After scolding, he stopped and didn’t continue.
Just as he was about to say something, another message was sent. Fu Yanhe’s eyes darkened, and he quickly deleted the message so that Gu Wenning wouldn’t see it.
Gu Wenning didn’t care about the message that Fu Yanhe had decided to delete without authorization. Although he didn’t see it, it wasn’t difficult to guess that it was definitely not a good word, and it was mostly dirty and indecent.
Looking at Fu Yanhe lightly, Gu Wenning smelled a vague scent in the air.
“Mr. Fu, did you turn off the fire in the kitchen?”
Kitchen?
Turn off the fire?
These few words made Fu Yanhe wake up, his mind started to stir, and he suddenly thought of the pot of soup he had made. His face changed slightly.
‘It’s over.’
It seemed to have a mushy smell. It was like the pot of soup had boiled dry.
Fu Yanhe hurriedly went into the kitchen to check, with a hint of luck, secretly praying that he hadn’t messing up.
But it was too late, it was too late.
Gu Wenning followed him into the kitchen. As soon as he came in, he saw someone holding a pot lid in one hand, with his back turned to him, looking up at the sky and sighing. He could see a bit of desolation from his back.
Familiar footsteps sounded behind him, and Fu Yanhe’s face became even more depressed. He turned around stiffly, showed a horrible smile, and said dryly, “Honey, the crucian carp and tofu soup is gone.”
The man’s eyebrows were no longer raised, and he was drooping listlessly. His tone was gloomy, his handsome and upright face was filled with the word “sorrow,” and he looked inexplicably pitiful.
Gu Wenning was stunned for a moment, and his voice softened unconsciously. “Forget it, there are other dishes. It doesn’t matter if one is missing.”
If Mr. Fu really wanted to eat this dish, he could also order takeout, Gu Wenning added quietly in his mind.
Fu Yanhe was quite depressed at first. He recently specially learned this crucian carp and tofu soup, but before he could show his recent learning results to his wife, it was scrapped. It was impossible not to be depressed.
But Gu Wenning’s “It doesn’t matter” made Fu Yanhe less depressed. If this time was gone, there would be another time. Why make himself unhappy just for a pot of soup?
Internal friction was impossible. Fu Yanhe spent three seconds adjusting his mentality and belatedly discovered that Gu Wenning seemed to be coaxing him. Although it wasn’t obvious, Fu Yanhe felt that his wife was coaxing him.
No need to ask so many whys. No asking meant there was a connection between the two minds. It was a kind of telepathy that couldn’t be explained to outsiders.
Fu Yanhe came close to Gu Wenning and quickly kissed him on the cheek. His tone was brisk as he said, “My wife is really gentle, considerate, and thoughtful.”
.
The next day, Fu Yanhe went to work at the company on time.
In the past, when Fu Yanhe had no love life, he was just a work machine. He worked all day long. It was impossible to arrive late and leave early. It was rare to go to and from work on time. He basically arrived at the office early and didn’t finish work until nine o’clock in the evening. No one in the company who didn’t admire him.
The employees became more and more involved because of this. After all, the boss was so diligent and hard-working. Who had the nerve to arrive at work late? The boss was already there. Why hadn’t they come yet? The boss was already there. Why would they want to leave if the boss hadn’t yet?
After having a love life, Fu Yanhe wasn’t so obsessed with work. He only worked when he should work and didn’t even think about it for a minute longer. From time to time, he had the urge to skip work.
Fu Yanhe accidentally stretched out his hand to straighten his tie while Secretary Xu was reporting on his work.
“Secretary Xu, did you see anything different about me today?”
Um?
Secretary Xu’s head was filled with questions. What did the boss mean by this?
“Mr. Fu is still radiant, tall and handsome, high-spirited and majestic…”
After working as Fu Yanhe’s secretary for three years, Secretary Xu knew Fu Yanhe better than other employees of the group. He knew that in the minds of other employees, the aloof and domineering boss was hard to talk to. But he knew that he had some narcissistic attributes in private, so he was easy to talk to.
But this time, Fu Yanhe was not very satisfied.
He glanced at Secretary Xu and said in a calm tone, “I know this. No need to state the facts. Secretary Xu, has your myopia worsened again?”
The subtext was whether his eyes were bad, that he didn’t even see it.
Secretary Xu grimaced, thought for a moment, and tentatively said, “Mr. Fu’s tie is pretty good. You wear it really well.”
This wasn’t nonsense that Secretary Xu said, but a conclusion he had come to through observation.
Fu Yanhe nodded with satisfaction.
