ALL NOVEL Chapter 12: Disciple of a Shameless Alchemist
Inside a makeshift apartment, a man could be seen sitting behind a flameless cauldron, looking rather happy for obvious reasons. He appeared to have achieved something extraordinary, but if one looked closely, one could tell he was dead.
Yes... the dude is dead. This man is called James Hogan; he is an alchemist in Caprath City, one of the major cities in the Althea Kingdom. In Caprath City, James is known as the shameless alchemist.
He is brilliant but incredibly shameless. No matter the situation he finds himself in, he always has a way out. He had been like that for many years until, finally, his mischief caught up with him.
In a few days, he would be selected among a few alchemists to go and see if they could cure the sick daughter of a merchant.
James, who might have gotten a hint of this, was eager to get what he wanted. The merchant would promise that whoever was able to cure his daughter would get to marry her. Though nobody knew, James—sneaky as ever—managed to get wind of it.
And because of this, he started preparing for the event. However, due to his haste and eagerness to please, he overexerted himself and died before he could finish concocting the sex-enhancement pill he had planned to use.
One could say he died planning to make someone's daughter beg her for more. He planned to go down on her hard.
He looked happy when he died, meaning he had succeeded. Inside the cauldron, one could see the pill sitting peacefully in there.
Suddenly, the space cracked inside the room, and a young man with whitish-purple hair fell out. Kent landed on the floor just a few meters from James Hogan. He passed out.
It took a few hours, but gradually, he opened his eyes, taking in the new environment he had been thrown into. After adjusting his vision for a few moments, he sighed and then stood up.
His gaze immediately locked onto James, and then, like a flood, he sensed a load of memories pour into his mind.
"James Hogan, huh... So that was the backstory she had prepared for me," Kent said, shaking his head. He received the memories of James, which meant he now knew a lot about the city and kingdom he had been transported to.
"I guess she did plan everything..." Kent sighed as he walked closer to James. However, before he could approach, messages started ringing in his mind.
"Here we go," he sighed again, sitting down beside the dead James, who held a smile on his face even in his last moments.
Kent's attention immediately focused on the messages that had appeared, neatly arranged by the Tower.

"Kent..." Vexthra called out.
"How is this possible? You are in the Mortal Realm, and I am in the God Realm. This shouldn't be possible. How are you contacting me?" Vexthra asked.
Kent replied.
And hey, thanks for sending me to a dead alchemist, very creative> Kent added smiling.
"You needed a backstory, so I gave you one. The unknown disciple of a dead alchemist is the perfect backstory," Vexthra said with a smile.
Kent cut the connection, leaving a smile on Vexthra's face. Kent had left her not long ago, but she was already starting to miss him.
One might think that for someone who had lived for millions of years, missing someone would be the last thing on her mind. But, well, she was a different person now, thanks to Kent bringing life back into her lifeless eyes.
Back in the makeshift apartment in Sonox, Kent returned to the messages. Most were about what to do next to unlock the towers. When he was done with them, he accessed the SSS-ranked skills.
