Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 375 - Talk with Selina.

"How can I help you, Selina?"

Alex questioned the woman walking toward him as he sat on his throne, relaxed and unbothered by the unannounced arrival of Selina into the throne room.

He just stared at her with his head resting on his palm.

"You never summoned me, though you said you would, my lord.

So, I had no choice but to invite myself here."

Selina spoke as she reached closer to the stairs that led to the throne before she went on her knees.

"Selina Astraflare greets the demon lord."

Her unscheduled arrival was because of the reason she stated above, but that didn't mean she would forget the code of conduct.

"Rise."

Alex, on the other hand, just chuckled at her words before he nodded at her.

"What would you want to say in your defense, my lord?

I can be very strict as a teacher after all."

As soon as Selina stood up straight, her arms moved to her waist as she questioned Alex for the delay in the summons, but Alex just chuckled at her words.

"It seems like whatever matter had got you concerned during the ball is now solved."

Alex, who could already see the thing within Selina, hibernating, commented.

His all-seeing eyes were now strong enough to look through people without being activated, at least the ones he had seen before.

If he wanted to get a read on someone new and they were strong, then he would have to activate his eyes.

Selina, however, tensed the moment she heard Alex's words, and her expression turned serious.

"You knew?"

She questioned, her brows frowning.

It took her a lot of time trying to find out what it was, but even then, she couldn't find a clue about what was happening to her body.

She just kept getting irritated for no known reason.

She tried everything she could think of, but even then, whenever she saw an image of Alex or heard about him, she would inadvertently grind her teeth, irked by the mere mention of him.

That was why she had locked herself in an isolated space for a while.

Selina knew that her negative feelings for Alex were uncalled for as he never did anything that could warrant her irk, and if that was not enough, Alex was the demon lord, someone she needed to show respect for.

So, she trapped herself in an isolated space, waiting there until her mind had calmed down, and as soon as it did, she rushed to meet Alex, wanting to check if that feeling would return or not.

Fortunately, even though she was standing just a meter or two away from Alex and talking to him, she didn't feel anything other than calmness.

But Alex's words tensed her.

"Yes, and don't ask me how, for you won't get your answers until I've learned everything I wish from you."

Alex, who heard her question and saw her reaction, replied with a calm smile on his face.

He didn't really care about telling the answer of how he knew all of this to her, but why not make it a bit more fun?

With these conditions in line, Selina would help him better and want to teach him everything as soon as she can, which is what he wanted.

"Alright then, my lord, I shall take your word on that."

Selina, on the other hand, relaxed the moment she heard Alex's words and smiled at him.

Getting to know the answers was better than never knowing them, and maybe she would be able to get a clue of what was happening inside her after she heard what Alex had to say.

"Good, then let us begin the task after the sun rises tomorrow."

Alex nodded at her, causing Selina's smile to widen.

She was really excited about this session, as she never lied about her being able to sense a monstrous amount of space affinity left untouched within Alex. Read exclusive content at empire

It was so much that even she, who thought of herself as a genius when dealing with space elements, couldn't stand against Alex's affinity.

"As you wish, my lord."

Selina nodded back at Alex with the same smile on her face, but then she tilted her head.

"Still, were you in the middle of something, my lord? When I arrived, you seemed rather occupied, and your expression appeared quite serious. I couldn't help but wonder."

She questioned Alex with a curious expression.

From what she knew about Alex, he was unpredictable, and there was no guarantee when he would be serious and turn playful, but the expression she saw before didn't seem like an act.

No one tries to act when no one is around them after all.

If that was not enough, she knew about Alex's sudden disappearance from the demon empire's capital city, just like the demon generals.

The demon ancestor, who seemed to know something, didn't really answer them, but they could tell that it was not something to wave off.

So, when Selina saw that expression on Alex's face, she couldn't suppress her curiosity to know everything.

"Sigh…"

Alex, who heard her question, sighed as his back relaxed on the throne.

"Don't even remind me of that..."

Alex muttered as he was reminded of the past three days when Luna, Ann, and Alice seemed to be busy with something of their own.

Alice, who, although not angry, still seemed a bit dissatisfied, but when Alex tried to talk about it, she would just walk away with a hmph.

Ann was fine, but Alex was sure that although she didn't hate it or wasn't in disapproval of all this, she wasn't all happy about it as well.

But it wasn't uncalled for, as it was a given that it would take some time for them to adjust, especially Alice, as she had a bit of a fire-and-water relationship with Luna.

Luna, on the other hand, just tried to stay quiet for now and let Alice and Ann make their decision.

His relationship with Luna progressed a bit too fast, as the moment he decided to give her a chance, he couldn't stop himself from falling for her as he could sense the love she had for him.

Her making him her eternal partner was like the final step in sealing the deal; at that time, Alex had already accepted her, and although he was waiting for Alice and Ann's words, he never really thought that both of them would not agree.

It was all fine, as Alex knew that they would come around in a while; they just needed time.

However, yesterday, all three of them had gone out together, and they had yet to return—this was what worried him more than the treatment he had getting for a while.

If that was not enough, he was supposed to not follow them.

If not for Sophia keeping an eye on them and updating him about any danger they might face, he would have never agreed to their demand.

He wasn't even able to spend some quality time with Alice and Ann, even though it had been so long since they had seen each other.

He knew that they wanted the same as well, but they had their minds occupied with Luna's matter.

Now, all he could do was sit on his throne and wait for their return.

[You don't need to worry; by the time they return, all of your problems would've been solved.]

Just then, Sophia's voice rang in his head, causing him to sigh again.

This is what Sophia would keep saying as she could see what they were doing, and from the way she seemed so sure about it, Alex really hoped that her words would come true, but one can never be sure when it comes to women.

'And when is that?'

He questioned her, just wanting to know when they would come back, as that would at least give him time to prepare himself for whatever shock they were going to give him.

"I can lend an ear if you wish, my Lord.

And rest assured, I don't have loose lips—whatever you say will stay between us."

Selina, on the other hand, still wanted to know what was eating away at Alex's mind.

She could tell that Alex didn't really seem to want to talk about it, but she still wanted to try her luck; the worst he could say was no after all.

"You don't need to worry—"

Alex, however, just waved his hand.

He didn't feel like talking about his personal life with Sophia right now; she wasn't that close to him.

Yeah, he would tell the whole world about it if things turned out well, but he didn't want to do it right now.

But his words got stuck in his throat and he stood up from the throne with eyes wide open as he sensed the presence of three people he wanted to see the most.

They were now within his perception range, and from the way they were walking together, with a smile on their face, Alex could guess that it was nothing bad.

[Right now.]

Sophia finally replied to Alex's question, and a wide smile broke out on his face, his gaze turning to look at Selina, and he spoke.

"Selina Astralflare, it appears we must delay our session for a few days."

His words caused Selina to frown, but Alex didn't wait for her reply, as he added.

"I shall take my leave now."

With that, he stepped forward, and the next instant, he disappeared from there, leaving Selina with eyes and mouth wide open.

"D-Did he just...?"

She couldn't believe what Alex had just done.
