ALL NOVEL Power Up (II) [ORIGIN UNIVERSE]
Kaguya stared at Kabuto Yakushi with an indifferent look in her eyes before dropping his body to the ground. She had already extracted his Soul and copied his memories, so he was no longer useful to her. Kabuto may not have been a monster like Madara or Hashirama, but he was not inferior to someone like Orochimaru.
He could have surpassed Orochimaru with given time, but he had made way too many enemies and it would have been hard for him to survive that long. It would have been amazing to have a subordinate like Kabuto, but Kabuto was not someone who could be trusted...
“The eyes are ready” Her clone announced, breaking her out of her musings.
Instead of answering, Kaguya simply pulled out her own eyes and she had to stop her regeneration from healing her. “Get on with it” Kaguya said dispassionately while dropping her own eyes in a jar. It obviously hurt to pull out her own eyes, but the pain was nothing she couldn’t have handled.
Her clone stepped closer and placed the eyes inside her eye sockets one by one. Kaguya handed over the glass jar to the clone and stopped holding back her regeneration and her eyes were healed. Even though her eyes were healed, Kaguya could feel that her eyes were not ready to be used yet, which was not a problem, considering, she could still clearly see with her Rinne Sharingan.
After that, Kaguya ripped off the left sleeve of her kimono and a Chakra Scalpel appeared in her right hand. She made a small cut on her arm with the Chakra Scalpel and once again, she had to stop her regeneration from healing the cut. Her other clone stepped forward and placed one three tomoe Sharingan inside the cut. Kaguya stopped holding back her regeneration.
Kaguya decided not to use any medical Jutsu to incorporate the eye into her Chakra system and see how her unique physiology was going to react to the eye… She wanted to see if her unique physiology could incorporate the eye on its own without any external procedures. That was why she decided to use a simple tree tomoe Sharingan for the experiment.
A small smile bloomed on her face when the eye was perfectly incorporated into her arm without any external procedures. Two eyelid-like structures appeared beside the eye and not only that, she could even activate and deactivate the eye on her will, which should not have been a surprise, considering the Uchiha bloodline came from her.
She deactivated the eye, turning it into a normal-looking black eye before reactivating it, turning it back into a three tomoe Sharingan. Kaguya was pretty pleased with how things were progressing so she pulled out the three tomoe Sharingan and asked the clone to place the Rinnegan in that spot.
The Rinnegan was also perfectly incorporated into her arm and unlike Sasuke, she could not only deactivate the eye, but she could also turn it back to the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Sasuke possessed. However, the Mangekyo power of this eye was not that impressive. With this eye, she could control and manipulate the flames of Amaterasu. However, the eye came as a package deal and the powers of the Rinnegan of this eye were more than impressive.
Kaguya deactivated the eye and closed the eyelid…
After that, she implanted the other eye of Sasuke Uchiha in her arm and as soon as the eye was incorporated, Kaguya activated the eye and the pattern of Sasuke’s Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan appeared on the eye. “Amaterasu” Kaguya mumbled and the tree she was pointing the eye at caught fire. Kaguya nodded her head in satisfaction before implanting the Obito’s Sharingan which she took from Kakshi into her arm.
While Obito’s eyes were not Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, they were not going to deteriorate. Thanks to the white Zetsu cells implanted in his body, Obito was able to prevent his Mangekyo Sharingan from deteriorating and her own cells were way superior to the white Zetsu cells…
“Bring me Obito’s DNA” Kaguya ordered and Black Zetsu stepped forward with a scroll in his hand. Kaguya unsealed the scroll and a mass of flesh appeared on top of the scroll. Then she singalled one of her clones to bring one of the Shinobis. Edo Tensei was not a simple Jutsu as they needed to make a few more preparations before she could reanimate Obito, but with her clones, it took her only a couple of minutes to finish all the preparations.
Kaguya weaved through the hand signs. “Edo Tensei: Impure World Reincarnation” Kaguya declared and the body of the Shinobi slowly turned into the body of Obito Uchiha, but it was obvious that he was nothing more than a reanimated corpse. There were cracks all over his body and instead of white, his sclera was black. Kaguya was trying to reanimate him in his prime, which meant she was trying to reanimate him while he possessed one Sharingan and one Rinnegan.
“What?” Obito mumbled as he looked around before Kaguya forced him to stand still. She succeeded in reanimating him in the condition while he possessed one Sharingan and one Rinnegan. Now, she simply needed to reincarnate him for real.
Kaguya clapped her hands together as she flared her Chakra. “Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth” Kaguya declared and Obito started to turn into a real human. However, everything was not right as almost half of his body disappeared and his Rinnegan turned into dust as he started to turn into a real human. She was hoping to grab one of Madara’s Rinnegan for herself as it was impossible to bring him back since his Soul was gone.
However, it was not to be… Kaguya also realized that Obito was not whole when he was alive. A white Zetsu was incorporated into his body to keep him alive. So, she quickly jumped into action and pulled out his Sharingan before he could die… Kaguya pulled out his eye and decided to leave him to his fata. Obito struggled for almost half a minute before he finally breathed his last.
However, Kaguya was no longer paying any attention to him as she was busy implanting his eye into her arm. When she was done, Kaguya decided to move on to the next task. “Bring me Itachi’s DNA” Kaguya ordered. Black Zetsu stepped forward and handed her another scroll. This time, it was a bottle of blood. Once again, the rest of the preparations were quickly carried out.
“Edo Tensei: Impure World Reincarnation” The shinobi started to turn into Itachi Uchiha while he was still a member of Akatsuki and instead of acting out, Itachi started to inspect his situation as soon as he took control of the corpse. Kaguya only bothered to take control of his body to prevent him from releasing the Jutsu and when Itachi realized that, he tried to cast Genjutsu on Kaguya, but it did not work.
Kaguya clapped her hands together. “Gedo Art of Rinne Ribirth” Kaguya declared and Itachi started to turn into a real human, and unfortunately for Kaguya, both of his eyes turned into dust as soon as he was reincarnated for real. Kaguya was not happy with this development, but before that, she needed to understand why it happened.
Black Zetsu opened his mouth to say something, but she simply raised her hand to silence him… She needed to think… When Itachi died, he willingly gave his eyes to his brother, and later Obito implated them into Sasuke. Maybe, that was why his eyes crumbled into dust… His eyes, which later turned into Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan after they were implanted into Sasuke and she took those eyes and implanted them into her arm.
“All-Killing Ash Bone” Kaguya said as she pointed her palm in Itachi’s direction. A bone shot out of her hand and impaled the boy, turning him into ash.
Kaguya wanted to use the last Shinobi to bring back Nagato with both of his Rinnegan intact, but she realized that it would be useless as his eyes were also going to turn into dust as soon as she reincarnated him for real.
“Don’t kill the two of them and take them somewhere else” Kaguya ordered her clones while pointing at the lying form of Hiashi Hyuga and the third Shinobi. “Get rid of everything else and give me the eyes” Kaguya ordered and took the glass jar containing her eyes from the clone. She decided to store her eyes along with the rest of the spare Sharingan eyes inside the Kamui dimension.
Kaguya wanted to implant more Sharingan eyes into her arm, but she decided to keep that on hold until she had consumed the Chakra Fruit… Yes, the drain from the eyes implanted in her arm was nigh negligible even when they were active, but she was finally free after a thousand years. She wanted to take some for herself and kick back… Then she turned toward Black Zetsu, who was staring at her expectantly while her clones were already off to carry out their tasks…
“Good and bring me something delicious to eat” Kaguya ordered and Black Zetsu disappeared with a smile on his face…
~~Sometime Later~~
“Is this the best you were able to find, my son?” Kaguya asked sceptically while staring at the bread and the bowl of soup.
“Forgive me, mother” Black Zetsu apologized while trembling. The problem was, that all the humans were trapped in the God Tree and Zetsu did not know how to cook, so he had to bring the best food he could find for her, which was not much. For a moment, he had considered not taking back anything because such food was palatable enough for someone of the standing of his mother, but at the same time, he did not want his mother to go hungry.
“I suppose this is fine…” Kaguya mumbled as she took a bit of the bread. The bread was hard and dry, but she was finally eating something after a thousand years. She did not need to eat, not truly, but Kaguya always enjoyed eating. “This is not bad” Kaguya mumbled taking a sip of the soup.
Zetsu finally sighed in relief, but internally he signed to bring her much better food the next time. It didn’t matter if he would have to threaten humans for that, the only thing that mattered for him was keeping his mother happy…
“Mother, you said you are going to leave the humans to their own devices. So, what are we going to do?” Zetsu asked curiously, wondering if his mother was even going to answer his question or not.
“Yes, I have no intention of ruling them ever again. They are ungrateful creatures, but I will need to gather more power” Kaguya mused as she stared at her arm. The arm she had used to house all the additional eyes. “I am going to need a lot more power to face what is coming” Kaguya answered and Zetsu simply nodded his head in understanding. He knew that his mother feared her clan.
“Then we are going to leave this world, right?” Zetsu asked and Kaguya simply hummed.
“Yes, that is my plan, but there are still a few things we would need to do before leaving this place. Even though I no longer care about the humans, this place is still my nursery. I have started to think of this place as my home. I need to have a place to return to…” Kaguya said while staring at the red moon hanging in the sky. All of her opposition was gone and for the first time in a thousand years, Kaguya was finally free, but even then she could feel the noose tightening around her neck.
“Mother, I will always be there for you. No matter what happens, I will always support you” Zetsu proclaimed proudly and for the first time, a genuine smile bloomed on her face. She slowly raised her hand and started to pet his head.
“I know, my son. I know” Kaguya said with a loving smile on her face as she continued to pet him, making Zetsu feel like he was over the moon…
