Progress (I) [ORIGIN UNIVERSE]
“So, you were unable to find him?” Kaguya asked in an indifferent tone. It has been just a week since she reclaimed Chakra from the humans and took over the Moon base of her descendants. Since then, Zetsu has been diligently searching for Isshiki, but he was yet to produce any results.
“Forgive me, mother” Zetsu apologized while trembling.
Kaguya gently raised her hand and started to pat him. “Don’t worry, my son. While I am unhappy, I am not disappointed and even then I am not unhappy with you. I am simply unhappy with how things are not going my way” Kaguya explained as she continued to pat his head.
Zetsu who was practically drowning in despair, sighed in relief as he decided to enjoy himself. His mother rarely praised him and any gesture of affection was even rarer. Kaguya knew that Issikhi was not a fool. Issihiki must have been keeping an eye on the Shinobi affairs and the reappearance of the God Tree must have made him go into hiding.
After all, even now he knew that he was no match for Kaguya… He might have been more powerful than her when they arrived on this planet, but Kaguya became much stronger than him after she consumed the Chakra Fruit and now that she has reclaimed the remaining Chakra from humanity, Issihiki was no match for her.
“However, you must keep looking for him. He must be somewhere on the planet” Kaguya finally lifted her hand from on top of his head as she addressed him.
“Of course, mother. I won’t disappoint you again” Zetsu proclaimed loudly before slowly disappearing into the ground. While Kaguya wanted to trust him, she knew that it would be highly unlikely for Zetsu to find Issihiki. However, Kaguya was not worried. After all, she was in no hurry…
There was still some time before Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki arrived on Earth to look for her. She still had 15 years' worth of time to be exact to complete all of her preparations and set a barrier around this world to hide this place from the members of her clan.
However, Kaguya was not willing to wait that long, considering the fact that she had already made a lot of changes since her revival. After all, she won where she was supposed to lose… Her victory might have created ripples in the timeline, leading the world to a completely different future for all she knew.
Kaguya shook her head to clear her mind… Yes, she needed to be wary of her clan, but at the same time, she knew that she needed to be careful. She could not allow her fear to control her the second time…
Kaguya took a deep breath and looked down at herself… To be honest, her kimono was simply ridiculous and if she wanted to engage in hand-to-hand combat ever, then she needed something else, something more form-fitting. The next moment she started to wonder what she was willing to wear in a fight.
After thinking for a bit, Kaguya finally found something she could wear. Her kimono started to transform before it shrunk into a form-fitting anbu uniform. Kaguya started to blush as she realized how embarrassed she was going to feel if someone saw her in these clothes as the clothes were clinging to her form, but moments later, a look of determination appeared on her face.
If she needed to wear clothes like these to become stronger then, she was willing to do so as becoming strong was more important than anything… And it wasn’t like the clothes she was wearing were revealing or anything. They were simply hugging her form. Most kunoichis wore way more revealing clothes in the anime and the manga…
So, she could probably get used to these clothes… No, she needed to get used to these clothes…
Kaguya quickly weaved through some hand signs. “Wood Release: Wood Clone Jutsu” Kaguya said and root came out of the ground before transforming into her exact replica.
“Taijutsu only?” The Clone asked as she stared at Kaguya intently.
“Taijutsu only” Kaguya confirmed and the clone moved. The Clone pulled back her fist and threw a punch in her direction. To Kaguya, it was obvious that the Clone was attempting to imitate Madara, but her actions only looked clumsy. After all, their bodies were not the same. Kaguya raised her arm to defend herself and just like her Clone, her own actions were pretty clumsy.
Kaguya would need to incorporate all those meticulous skills into her assortment and to do that, she needed to use them in a fight until those skills and moves were just instincts to her…
~~Sometime Later~~
Kaguya dipped herself into the pool filled with hot water and groaned in satisfaction. Along with delicious food, she missed this when she was trapped inside the seal. Kaguya remembered the time Aino would prepare the bath for her… A lone tear trickled out of her eye. If not for Tenji, Aino would have been alive.
However, Tenji’s betrayal was necessary as it taught her the true nature of humans… Maybe, she should have killed Tenji in a more painful way to avenge Aino. Damn! She missed that woman…
Kaguya stared at the sake bottle resting on the table and raised her hand. The bottle slowly flew into her waiting hand. Next, she summoned the sake cup before finally pouring herself a drink. Kaguya was starting to like the Tenseigan. Both the Tenseigan and the Rinne Sharingan were capable of producing attractive and repulsive forces, but the powers of Tenseigan were much smoother.
While the powers of Rinne Sharingan were quite explosive, which made them more fitting for offense, the Tensuigan was much more versatile and it could used anywhere as long as the user was skillful… It might have been just 4 days since she awakened the Tenseigan, she was starting to get the hang of it. The Tenseigan was simply the better version of Byakugan.
After all, the Tenseigan possessed all the powers of the Byakugan and added more on top of it. After implanting the eyes of Hiashi Hyuga, Kaguya was afraid that she was most probably giving up the power of the Byakugan, but she still wasn’t willing to give up the Tenseigan as the power of the Tenseigan was simply way too tempting for her to give up like that.
Yes, the Byakugan was useful but Kaguya did not need it most of the time since, unlike the Hyuga, she was not a practitioner of the Gentle Fist Style and she wasn’t planning to become one, so she was quite willing to give up the ability to see Chakra Pathways and Tenketsu points. However, Tenseigan was the best of both, which was more than amazing in her books.
Kaguya finished the cup in one go before pouring herself another drink…
Kaguya knew that she was improving smoothly in every regard thanks to the army of Shadow Clones she could spawn without breaking a sweat. With the memories of Hashirama Senju, her training in Senjutsu was progressing nicely. With the memories of Minato Namikaze to help her along the way, her clones were starting to learn calligraphy as calligraphy was necessary if someone wanted to learn Fuinjutsu.
With the help of the memories of Tobirama Senju, her Clones were diligently working to further refine their Chakra Control and their techniques… Tobirama Senju might have been known for his Suiton mastery, but in reality, he could use all the elements. He simply preferred using Suiton over the other elements since Suiton was his natural affinity and Suiton suited his fighting style the most.
When compared to the rest of the Hokages, Hiruzen Sarutobi was basically a chump… He might have been known as the Second God of Shinobi, but his reputation was simply overhyped… It wasn’t like he wasn’t an extraordinary Shinobi. If he wasn’t, then he wouldn’t have lasted as long as he did since people rarely in this world lived long enough to see old age.
However, when compared to the other Hokages, he was just an average Shinobi and he was probably the only Hokage who damaged Konoha more than their enemies. When he was young, he was a power-hungry man… He knew what Danzo was getting up to, and he silently supported the man. The reputation of Sakumo Hatake was growing with each passing day.
Sakumo Hatake was probably going to be the next Hokage if was continued to grow, but Sakumo wasn’t allied with their idea of their will of fire. They decided to ruin his reputation so that he never even gets considered for the next Hokage. What they did not expect was the man to take his own life…
Kaguya snorted in derision… She should not have expected anything less from humans. Humans were creatures who were willing to betray their own blood for greed and Sakumo Hatake was just a political rival… There were obviously some outliners as some humans were genuinely good, but they were extremely rare… Naruto Uzumaki was one such person.
‘Or maybe, we are just some characters dancing to the tune of others’ Kaguya mused internally before taking another sip of the sake. Kaguya knew that she was just some character, but she refused to believe that her actions weren’t her own. Maybe, she would have followed the script if she didn’t have knowledge of the future, but now the story was completely different.
‘There are no strings on me’ Kaguya mused with a grin as she started to think about her next course of action. While Minato Namikaze was good with Fuinjutsu, he had nothing on Kushina Uzumaki and Mito Uzumaki if the memories of their husbands were to be believed and maybe, she could learn how to use the Kagura Shingan and Adamantine Sealing Chains from their memories.
According to the fanon of Naruto world, the Chakra of Uzumaki people was so dense that they could condense their Chakra into solid objects. Kaguya already possessed all the Chakra, now she only needed to know how to condense that Chakra into solid objects and maybe Kagura Shingan could help her find Issihiki.
With that decided, Kaguya simply closed all three of her eyes and decided to relax and enjoy the bath… After all, she was going to have a long day tomorrow…
~~The Next Day~~
Acquiring the DNA of Kushina Uzumaki was not that hard. Hiruzen might had their bodies sealed in their coffins, but the seals weren’t that strong to begin with, considering Orochimaru was able to get into those coffins and steal their DNA. Not only that, Orochimaru was even able to break the seal on the coffin of Hashirama with the help of Danzo and that seal was personally designed by Mito Uzumaki.
Kaguya had no idea how he managed to do that, but maybe, Mito and Hiruzen never considered someone as driven as Orochimaru would turn on their village… Regardless, Kaguya was happy that Orochimaru stole their DNA and made it easy for her, otherwise, she would have to go and break into their coffins to take their DNA.
However, Kaguya could not understand why Orochimaru never tried to reanimate someone like Kushina or Mito… Even Kabuto decided to skip Mito during the Fourth Shinobi War. Maybe, both of them were afraid of their extensive knowledge of Fuinjutsu. Whatever, their reasons might have been, Kaguya was not worried… After all, she had multiple ways to destroy the Reanimated Corpses.
Kaguya stared at the two bodies lying in front of her… Kaguya did not who they were, nor did she care. The two of them were simply way too insignificant in her eyes to even bother…
Kaguya quickly weaved through hand signs. “Edo Tensei: Impure World Reincarnation” Kaguya muttered under her breath and two bodies started to transform. One of the bodies turned into the body of Kushina Uzumaki, while the other started to transform into the body of Mito Uzumaki… No, she shouldn’t call the woman an Uzumaki. After all, she married a Senju.
“Who are you?” Mito was the first one to speak as she realized where she was. “I had warned Tobirama, but he refused to listen to me” Mito snorted as she slowly stood up. She had tried to dissuade Tobirama from creating this Jutsu, but when she failed, she came up with a way to not only cancel the Jutsu but also free herself from the control of the caster.
However, as soon as Mito tried to access her Chakra, her eyes grew wide in shock… She wouldn’t have been surprised if her Chakra was sealed or something like that, but it was the complete lack of it… How was this even possible? Yes, she was a Reanimated Corpse, but she should still possess a hint of Chakra, right? Just like every other creature in this world, right?
“Who the hell are you, dattabane? Where am I?” Kushina asked as she stood up and busted off her posterior. Mito felt her eyebrow twitch as she easily recognized Kushina.
“I am Kaguya Otsutsuki, the mother of Chakra” Kaguya finally introduced herself, feeling generous as she had no reason to fear them and having someone to converse with who was not her fanatical son was something she was looking forward to. Even though she was eventually going to send them back to the Pure World…
