As the first raindrops fell from the sky, our sparring with my sister came to its end.

First rain in a new world, and it was slightly mesmerising to me and my sister. It seemed like what was the big deal about dark clouds and bad weather? Just a normal, light rain. But... it's beyond words when you feel the chill after a hard day. And while I quickly got used to it and stopped paying attention, Arine was as fascinated by this new 'miracle' as she was when we got outside. She had her head tilted back and was looking up at the sky with a funny facial expression, and she had her palms outstretched as if she wanted to catch the drops with her hands.

Looking at her, I saw a joyful girl with an innocent smile that rejoices like a child when they are excited about something new.

However, knowing her, I can assume that she sees rain for the first time and now she is interested in everything - it is evident from her joyful face. It seemed like she was going to start jumping on the spot with joy. Actually, after our training, the raindrops tickled my skin and I could clearly understand what my sister was feeling now.

It was an unforgettable cool sensation. The water seemed to wash away our fatigue, giving us relief from our recent exertion. Not to say we were sweating-I have a need for it-but the temperature... I was a little hot and the newfound weather favoured the mood to relax. And since sis likes the rain, it's not a hardship for me to take some time for a little respite. Let her rest... at least like this.

Not bothering her, I decided to wait in the shade of a tree and its branches. I didn't want to get too wet. And since there were no thunderclaps, it was safe to stand under the tree. Besides, I had something to think about.

- It's beautiful...' as I drifted off, I heard my sister's happy voice.

With a shouted 'yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee', Arine had squeezed her eyes shut and was now jumping on the spot, trying to catch the raindrops with her tongue. A very funny scene and so very distracting. Plus it was really cute.

- Sis, you shouldn't catch that water with your tongue, and you shouldn't jump. It could be dangerous. - I warned the girl, but didn't stop her from having fun. Besides, it is unlikely that she could get sick and fall - with her agility it is unlikely. And my thoughts quickly changed direction.

The day had come!

The Familiar's core - it was charged to the max, and I could feel it clearly. I felt it like an hour ago. It was a strange realisation that everything was ready. With detailed information on how to use the core to create an 'immortal' creature. Devoted to me and very powerful if I didn't screw up. All I had to do was take the final step, after which I'd be out of time and space.

And I'll say it without hesitation - it's a very strange feeling, as if in my head dug and put the information about the surname originally, but only now they surfaced in my head. It was a real instruction manual for dummies! However, it didn't really matter anymore.

I was slightly worried, my heart was even beating faster than usual right now. The real surprise is that my body is functioning just like a normal person's! Another confirmation that I'm a very strange undead, though I don't care. I'm alive, not in the usual way, but I'm alive, and that's what counts.

Even though it wasn't the right time to summon, I didn't want to wait any longer. I threw off the shackles of my armour. I took the crystal out of my sisters' clammy body, then watched as it steamed over my palm and glowed pink. Nothing out of the ordinary, like a simple torch, but that was what attracted my sister to no longer stand alone but beside me. She watched silently with fire in her eyes like a curious pussycat. She seemed to be watching intently and didn't want to miss a single detail.

A very curious little sister. I love it!

- Now the magic is about to happen. Watch carefully. - I nodded to my sister, maybe she'll understand something from this.

'You decided to do it now after all?' - Miku's slightly excited voice came out, bringing my attention back to the stone.

'Of course I'm sure of it. Besides, I've already waited long enough to procrastinate further.' - I shrugged at her words, well not waiting any longer?

'Then don't fail. You have one chance!' - Mika admonished in a serious tone, slightly shaking with excitement.

I nodded, and it was as if time had stopped for a couple of seconds. Then there was a slight flash in my eyes, and I found myself in empty space.

Unexpected displacement and without any epic effects. Plus...

'And here... it's easy to get lost.' - I looked around.

There was a white void around me. Nothing. And only white light all around. Along with that, I had the realisation that my mind was now... almost locked up! And if I didn't make up my mind in an hour... or... or... what else - it was hard to say anything at all - I could be stuck here forever!

That's a very tempting prospect! If I didn't have the instructions for dummies, I'd definitely panic and could be stuck here.....

'Ugh, we need to focus on the matter at hand. Okay, I have a finished image of a future familiar, but it doesn't seem to be my option.'

The new information changed my plans.

Simply put - if you skip the very long list of rules - it turns out the following: I can use my imagination and create any creature - within reason - but they will all be flawed both biologically and magically, if not psychically, with the pluses taken into account, of course. Sort of like character generation... or gacha, where randomness decides everything. And that's because the image is prepared by myself and that's the way it's designed here.

It's a protection against cheating, so to speak, and I've only just realised it. Sad - yes, but not critical, if you try your luck.

For example...

A moment and before my eyes appears the image of a cute dragon loli from one familiar anime. Except, her horns were a bit bigger from the original - I wanted it that way myself, and behind her back were angel wings. Next to it was a list - her perks:

Healing Magic

Destruction Magic

Divine Essence

Dragon-Angel Métis

Physical power

Dragon skin

Very good perks. Not only is she good looking, but she also has great strength. Except...

Her disadvantages:

Mental instability

Lack of morals.

Lasciviousness.

Moral corruption.

Enormous lust

Aggression

Whore

Weak immunity

Low intelligence

Infidelity in red.

And this is looking at her innocent appearance, we get a very unstable personality with big flaws! Anyway, I didn't get hung up on it and re-grolled her in the hope that something might change. To do this, changed a little appearance, but the disadvantages, what they were, remained the same, only now the disadvantages were a little more. Moreover, they were not much different from the previous ones, so, I proceeded to the tedious roll of already new images.

Loli - nymphomaniac, who likes to have orgies with random people; old lady - drug addict; schoolgirl - whore; milf - prostitute, and she turned out to be an ordinary person; older sister - cook, without pluses as well as minuses; dragon - trap... I leafed through this list for 20 minutes. It was like picking out my own car, but they were all either with big minuses or no decent pluses. And I had a clear image of the one I wanted, and that was a magician - a real mage, not the ones in this world. Preferably a girl, dragon or not... it doesn't matter anymore, as depending on the strengths, I realised that there would be fat minuses. It's sad, as I've been here for half the time available and got nothing, and then either choose something I don't really want, or get stuck here forever.

I found myself in a quandary, but I didn't despair - there's still time and a chance. Or the option that was intended here originally. Since I failed to create someone who is pleasing to my eyes, I will have to use the second option of this place. And it already consisted of a real gacha with conditions - one scroll - one minute!

As soon as I thought about this option, a round thing appeared near me - with a PUPP sound. Like a wheel of fortune, only instead of options and prizes, there were question marks.

This is the real gacha! There's no turning back!

Many might think - role further and try, but this is... my luck, even if I want a simple mage, I always get it with a fat minus! And here.... I had 30 attempts to win something worthwhile that would be useful and without those huge minuses.

As I understood it, this option involved a real familiar upbringing from scratch with an unknown outcome. A true randomisation where only my knowledge of the possible personality could give a general idea of the familiar. Entities that already existed in different worlds. And they could be not only girls, but also... nada, blokes. However, a loyal mate would also be a good option, and throwing one into the thick of battle wouldn't be too bad.

'Well, it's time to spin... and hope I get lucky!' - mental command and...

My first attempt and I was really nervous. Worst of all, it was excruciatingly long. I mean, the wheel actually spun for a minute.

With a victorious sound of 'tu-tu-tu-duuuuun' and an explosion of confetti, the prize was a bloke. His exact image was right next to me and could be spun in different directions. The guy himself is Gin, from the anime Gintama. Hmm, not a bad character with his own humour. He's pretty funny, but he's an ordinary person, maybe a bit stronger than ordinary people, but definitely not my choice.

Ordinary humans are something I can put together. Why do I need a surname like that too?

Again I spun the wheel and waited. And there's that special effects music again.

Another guy, I don't know him.

I spun the wheel again.

Another guy.

And another...

A guy... again, again!

...

Girl... cute, but I don't know her and it's risky.

Another girl, Hinata, right? Mmmmm, I need a mage, and her abilities are very debatable....

Astolfo... no, alas, but no. Mage! Mage!!! I need a mage!

The girl... a doll? No, but alas, I don't know who she is.

I'm gonna get a magician!

On the tenth try, it was Arturia, but that's not it.

On the twentieth try, it was Lola with horns and a tail. Sort of... Bathory, right? Hmm... dragon... vampire? She's cute.

*Turned round her appearance and looked under her dress *

Yeah, a dragon, no less. Overall... not bad, wish I could find out her parameters and skills right now, but many dragons are mages by nature and she might be a good choice. Her chest is a bit small though, and she looks fragile. But then again - dragons aren't humans, and looks can be deceiving, so...

'I choose you, Bathory!' - I chose, hoping that my perceptions of dragons were correct.

The image of the girl in front of me began to transform. She glowed with a bright light and shrank, turning into a very small crumb of about 6-8 years old.

So much for the gacha! Raise your familiar yourself!

The girl turned into a child that was now looking around in surprise. And strangely enough, she turned her head in my direction and was definitely looking at me while tilting her head slightly.

- Ummmmm? - made a cute little mooing noise and curiosity lit up in her eyes.

I look at her and she looks at me. Sitting there - looking at each other. I know for a fact that I am not here - only my mind, but somehow she sensed me.

Speaking I couldn't - already checked, but mentally.....

'Hey, little one, how are you?' - I didn't know what else to say to the child, so I started with a greeting, and then we'll see....

Instead of answering she looked around, after that she turned her attention to me.

- Where... am I? - With a wait-and-see attitude she drilled a point at me.

'At home... this is your home, Bathory,' I said the first thing that came to mind, and it felt like it.

- B-batory? Bathory! Is that my name?! - the girl smiled, tasting the name so to speak. - Bathory... yes! I like it, and you are... m-master? Are you my master? It's...I don't understand...what's a master? And the house... it's... it's empty, isn't it, Master? There's nothing here? I don't understand...' her eyebrows arched and her gaze wandered again. But before I could say anything in response, the floor materialised beneath her tiny ass.

'Che, how's that?' - I was surprised, indeed, I didn't realise how she had done it - which I was sure she had! But continued to watch in silence, and there was much to see.

Bathory frowned as if she was not sitting comfortably, and then the floor was transformed into a velvet carpet, and she stood up and shook herself off, looking around as if deciding what else to change.

Since I didn't have much time left, I decided to watch the little girl in action and was soon amazed at what I saw.

The empty space was now a real castle of very soft cushions. And the little girl herself was just as excited as my sister had been recently, only several times stronger and brighter.

- Whoa! Whoa! Now it is soft and pleasant here, isn't it, master? - The girl was smiling fidgetily, sprawled on a mountain of soft toys.

I suppressed the strange urge to squeeze her.

'You're good, Bathory, I'd like to ask you,' the girl blushed slightly and looked embarrassed at my praise, but quickly pulled herself together like a diligent student.

- What is it, master? Shall I make you some fluffy ones too? - Bathory offered, smirking proudly at her mountain of toys.

Fluffy?... Ahh, so she's talking about toys that even seem alive?

'Not really, but I'll take you up on your offer later. I have a question regarding your reference to me, Bathory. I am, as you realised, your master - your master's master, a sort of older brother. And since that's the case, I'd like to know more about you so that we can get along with each other, okay?'

- Waaaah? About me? That's so nice master! - Bathory was slightly embarrassed, laughing childishly. Except, there was sadness behind the merry laughter, after which, she lowered her head. - I... I don't know, I don't remember, nothing. Only the name you gave me and the fact that you are my master... older brother! - she was confused and frowning, but regained her cheerful attitude, as if to throw these problems away.

Very strange mood change, but I'm not a child psychologist to say anything. Bathory definitely doesn't seem like a normal child, though, that makes sense - she's a dragon. However, even though I didn't have much experience with 'children', I tried to answer as gently as possible.

'That's how, I see, you're good and there's no need to be sad. In time we'll fix this and you'll have lots of memories, if of course you obey me,' I offered and Bathory nodded her head that she would obey her older brother. Her statement wasn't anything out of the ordinary, all she said were the words of a normal child - surprisingly - who doesn't want to misbehave. At least that's what I gathered from her face and quick response, so, was happy with the answer.

After all, we had established rapport - the girl is willing to obey, and that's what counts!

- Then, Master, can we play? - Bathory looked at me hopefully, making a very touching look.

'M-baby, I...' - That... was too strong. The charisma... or, her gaze - I don't know what else, but I couldn't take my eyes off her. I would have agreed, to strengthen our relationship with her and get to know her better - and not just for that reason - except, I felt the time to leave was upon us.

Fighting my feelings - wanting to hug the little girl, I shook my head, even though I couldn't see it. Except, she realised it and I found it even harder to look into her blue and pitiful eyes.

'I'm sorry, but next time. Maybe even in my world. Anyway, we'll meet again very soon, so don't miss me, okay?'

- I-I-I got it, master! I'll be waiting! And don't forget - you promised! - Bathory enthused, changing from pity to joy and nodding her head.

'There you go, good girl! See you soon, my little girl.'

Before leaving the place completely, I threw an appraisal on the little one....
