Rebirth of the Useless Bastard Son

Chapter 16

When the waiter heard that this young master was actually Li Tianyan himself, he looked at him in disbelief. He had seen this man before, but at that time, even though Li Tianyan was sought after by others, he didn’t have much aura around him, disregarding the fact that he had never practiced martial arts.

Although the person in front of him didn’t have any energy at all, he still gave people a strong sense of oppression. The waiter didn’t even dare to raise his head to look at the other person’s face and mistakenly thought the young master was deliberately hiding his aura.

Leading a few people into the private room, the waiter quickly served tea and snacks to them. He noticed that the little shuanger who had been walking behind Li Tianyan casually sat down next to him. Instead, Li Wu, the servant was busy, which confused him.

When Li Wu finished ordering, the waiter finally couldn’t help but whisper, “Brother Li Wu, why is your young master’s servant sitting together with the master?”

“What servant? It’s the young madam. Stop talking nonsense, go away; my young master is still waiting.” Li Wu rolled his eyes secretly in his heart; this guy had no eyesight at all.

“Yes, yes, I’ll go right away.” The waiter said yes, but his curiosity became even more intense. Could these be the ugly shuanger of the Cheng family who were rumored in Jincheng some time ago? It didn’t look like the rumors; he wasn’t as ugly as people described.

The waiter just came down from the private room and saw several more guests coming to the door. He immediately greeted them attentively, “I’m sorry dear guests; the private room is taken. Do you mind using the table in the hall?”

Jian Yuhao frowned in displeasure, “Didn’t I see someone go up just now? How come they have it but not me?”

“I’m really sorry; it was the last private room just now, the seat by the window of the attic,” the waiter explained with a smile on his face. He needed to be careful, these few people in front of him were all the rich young masters in Jincheng, and he couldn’t afford to offend them.

“You can ask the person who came up just now to free up the private room. We need to use it,” Ren Chijing said nonchalantly.

Although they were far away just now, they also noticed that among the three people who came in before them, there was only one entry-level warrior, and the other two weren’t even entry-level. What qualifications did such people have to compete with them for a private room?

“How about you wait a moment while the young one goes up to ask?” After the waiter finished speaking, he hurriedly turned back and ran to the private room upstairs.

.

“Brother Li Wu, can you let your young master move out from the private room? There are several young masters who want this private room,” the waiter looked embarrassed and discussed with Li Wu, who was standing outside. He didn’t want to offend people, but the people downstairs obviously had more weight than Li Tianyan, so he could only come up and pass on a message.

When Li Wu heard this, he immediately understood the people the waiter was talking about might have some background. He remembered when he went out with his young master, he had to do a lot of things to make people vacate private rooms. Who would have thought that the situation would change?

“Who are they downstairs?”

“It’s the young masters of the Ren family and the Jian family with a few young ladies. Young lady Cheng is also here,” the waiter said, glancing involuntarily into the private room. Li Tianyan and young lady Cheng’s relationship was well-known in Jincheng City.

Li Tianyan heard about young lady Cheng and his face did not change at all, but Cheng Qi, who was sitting next to him, stiffened slightly for a moment.

“Go and tell them I want the private room. If they don’t accept it, they can come to me themselves,” Li Tianyan said after taking a sip from his tea cup.

“This… little one will go right now,” the waiter raised his hand and wiped the cold sweat on his forehead. The people downstairs were all in the fifth or sixth level. Was Li Tianyan really not afraid of getting into trouble by doing this?

Although the waiter was sweating in his heart, he still followed Li Tianyan’s original words and relayed the message to a few people.

“What a loud tone.” Jian Yuhao, angered by the man’s lack of courtesy, contemplated going upstairs to give him a piece of his mind.

“Forget it, let’s just go sit in the attic; the private room is too stuffy.” Cheng Si, annoyed by the familiar scene and thinking of Li Tianyan, suggested while frowning slightly.

“Since Xiao Si said she wanted the attic, let’s take the attic. Waiter, why don’t you lead the way?” Ren Chijing made the decision upon hearing Cheng Si’s words.

All of them agreed, though in their hearts, they silently criticized Ren Chijing’s cunningness. He was the first to ask people to vacate the private room, and turned around quickly facing Cheng Si.

The happiest person to see this result was the waiter at Yueman Restaurant. If there was a fight, he would undoubtedly be the unlucky one in the end. He quickly led the group to the attic and served a lot of refreshments attentively.

.

“Young master, is it really okay?” Cheng Qi, concerned upon hearing Cheng Si’s name, couldn’t sit still.

For a moment, he worried those people downstairs might cause trouble. Although he knew that Li Tianyan was powerful, he feared he might suffer a loss. He was also uneasy about Li Tianyan meeting her elder sister Cheng Si, but he couldn’t clearly express why.

“Don’t worry; don’t you like eating peanuts, so why don’t you peel them.” Li Tianyan, having advanced to the second level of Qi Condensation, heard the conversation downstairs clearly. He assured Cheng Qi that these people wouldn’t come up and didn’t take it to heart.

“Oh.” Relieved by Li Tianyan’s calm assurance, Cheng Qi picked up peanuts, peeled them, and shared them with him.

Li Wu was eagerly anticipating a few troublemakers to show up, so others could witness his young master’s powerful methods. He couldn’t be the only unlucky one. However, after waiting for a long time with no one appearing, he couldn’t help but curse those few individuals in his heart, deeming them lacking courage.

The ordered dishes were quickly brought out, dazzling Cheng Qi as he observed the delicious spread on the table. He was unsure which dish to start with.

“The soy-flavored eight-treasure duck is the signature dish here. You should try it first,” Li Tianyan suggested, noticing Cheng Qi’s enthusiasm for the dishes. He promptly placed a duck leg in his bowl before picking up his own chopsticks.

“Thank you, young master. You can eat too,” Cheng Qi graciously handed another duck leg to Li Tianyan, then indulged in a large portion himself. He practically savored the juicy, sauce-flavored duck leg.

Li Tianyan noticed that watching Chengqi eat surprisingly stimulated his appetite. Despite not being a food enthusiast, he found himself enjoying various dishes.

Cheng Qi never wasted food, leaving not even a drop of soup on the table. After the meal, feeling full, he leaned back in his chair and rubbed his belly.

“Why force yourself if you can’t eat?” Li Tianyan chuckled, observing Cheng Qi’s attempt to consume everything on the table.

“I’m not forcing it; I’m just a little full,” Cheng Qi replied, satisfied, patting his bulging belly.

.

As Li Tianyan escorted Cheng Qi away from the private room, Jian Yuhao and his group happened to witness it. Seeing the three people descending from upstairs, everyone immediately understood that the one causing trouble earlier was this guy.

Seeing Li Tianyan again, Cheng Si’s face displayed disgust. Recalling the meeting at Li Mansion that day, she felt a surge of frustration, nearly grinding her teeth.

“It’s actually Li Tianyan in that private room. I thought he was hiding in Li Mansion and didn’t dare to come out to see people,” Ren Chijing remarked, observing Li Tianyan’s descent. “But why do I sense something different about him today?”

“What difference can there be? He’s still the same waste. If it hadn’t been rumored that Li Tianyan had spiritual roots, who would fawn over such a waste?” Jian Yuhao sneered, recalling on those who sought to please and flatter Li Tianyan.

Cheng Si, seated at the same table, felt a sting upon hearing this, displaying a somewhat aggrieved look on her face. Zhou Miaomiao couldn’t help but gloat, noting how the Cheng family seemed eager to curry favor with Li Tianyan through Cheng Si.

“Li Tianyan has gone too far. He shamelessly pestered Xiao Si and then smeared her everywhere after being rejected. Such a person deserves a lesson,” Ren Chijing glared at Jian Yuhao, expressing resentment and comforting Cheng Si.

Jian Yuhao acknowledged his mistake and hastily responded, “Don’t worry, Xiao Si. I’ll stand up for you. Let’s see if Li Tianyan dares to talk nonsense in the future.”

Cheng Si, trying to be tactful, shook her head. “Forget it, maybe he didn’t mean to.” Despite her attempt at composure, the sadness on her face deepened, evoking sympathy from those present who silently pledged support for Cheng Si in their hearts.
