I was terrified. This morning things were going well. Now... I was hiding in a rotted log, cowering in fear. Why?
Two hours ago, I stumbled into a clearing, feeling drawn there. There were other Swamp lizards there. I had doubled in size after my level up, and could handle most of the threats I used to flee from.
I got cocky. Presiding over the clearing was a huge, red lizard. With a HORN! I had noticed A few of the others had a horn, but not like this one. Shaped a bit like a lightning bolt, this red lizard took one look at me, licked its lips, then Lunged. I ran away... it's trying to eat me!

Today was a good day. New brothers and sisters survived their first week, and arrived at the breeding grounds. Within a month, they would return to the nesting grounds to lay the next generation. He eagerly checked out those arriving. None interested him, until She Appeared. A full size larger than the others, her scales a lovely mixture of Black, Red, And Green... She was Beautiful. As Alpha, he got His pick of the Females... but none had drawn his attention like HER. He knew he had to have her, so he puffed his chest out, Raised his horn, And performed a mating Hop... And She fled. Playing hard to get. Naturally, he gave chase, but lost her somewhere around the Deadwood. Sadly, he returned to the Breeding grounds...she'll come back, sooner or later. Safety in numbers, after all.

Scary! My New Kin are Scary! That big red one was going to eat me, I just know it! I wasn't going back there. I mean, safety in numbers is a thing, and I felt something pulling me in that direction, but... I don't wanna be eaten. So I ignored the pull... and went in the opposite direction. That guy won't eat ME!

The red one, Voltaire... Hung his head... Even the Gods were mocking him. But look at the bright side. A title came with a new skill, and a name with a significant stat boost. Next time he saw the Pretty Girl, She wouldn't Escape. Next Time.
