Chapter 8: Spirit Transformation
Pain shot through Shido's body as the energies of the crystal wreck inside him, both destructive and harmonious. He fell to his knees, shouting as his entire body began to radiate an alternating glow of black and white.
Phantom watched silently, her gaze showing neither fear nor worry but a strange sense of joy, as if witnessing something long anticipated.
Shido was like a black hole that begun to devour the Reiryoku on the surroundings. Even Phantom is not spared as her Reiryoku was leaking out of her body.
The very fabric of Shido's Inner World began to tremble and crack, the energies clashing with such force that fissures of black and white light spread rapidly across the landscape.
Shido's cries reverberated through the expanse as his very form continued to glow, alternating with blinding brilliance.
The intense turmoil within his body reached the peak, and the world around him froze. The ground turned to pure white, while the sky swallowed by a complete darkness.
There was no more room for conflict within him, nothing but the sheer weight of the forces forcing his body to accept the coming transformation.
Then, it happened.
A cocoon of Reiryoku formed around him, dense and nearly impenetrable.
The spiraling light wrapped him like an unbreakable shell, sealing Shido inside.
The constant twisting of light and dark pulsed in waves, creating a perfect seal that left no escape.
Yet within that cocoon, the energies never stopped. The Reiryoku was growing each second.
And then, as Phantom stood, watching with silent awe, Shido's inner tempest quieted.
Waiting for the emergence of Shido, a small sound that was almost inaudible was heard by Phantom.
She focused her gaze on the cocoon and realized that cracks was forming on it.
She watched all of this with excitement, expectation and curiosity.
With an ear-shattering crack, the cocoon shattered into countless shards of light and darkness, vanishing into the void like dissipating mist.
From within the radiant chaos, Shido emerged, his very presence marking the end of his transformation.
The dazzling brilliance long silvery-white hair reaching his hips struck the air with a luminous glow, flowing like threads of light that seemed to shift with a fluid elegance, as though moved by forces beyond mere physics.
Each strand gleamed in stark contrast, catching both the shadow and the shine of his newfound powers, rippling with an unnatural grace.
His face had become much more captivating, a perfection so alluring that it could make any woman fall under its spell.
The sharp angles of his features exuded a kind of magnetic charm, refined by an unyielding will and the kind of regal wisdom that could make even the firmest hearts falter.
Every detail of his face, from his strong jawline to his high cheekbones, was meticulously sculpted, so flawless it seemed untouched by time or hardship.
His expression, once softer, had now taken on an edge of danger and elegance that made him appear both captivating and untouchable.
There was a confident, almost predatory allure in the way his features caught the light, drawing gazes to him like moths to a flame.
His eyes, however, were the most striking. His pupils had turned into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
Its crimson and silver swirling with an otherworldly intensity. They were cold and sharp like ice.
Each glance carrying the weight of experience and the sharpness of a blade.
The cold, unyielding nature of his stare seemed to strip the very air of warmth, freezing everything in its path. But despite its chill, there was an undeniable magnetism in those eyes that made it impossible to look away.
The sheer force of his gaze could capture the attention of anyone, bending them to his will with an almost unnatural command.
Even Phantom who was watching him on the sideline was captivated by his eyes. Her lips was moving as if murmuring something under or breath. Her eyes looks vacant as if she was hypnotized by his eyes.
Meanwhile Shido step out of the broken cocoon, his expression was still serious as if he was still in a trance.
Every step he took reverberated through the broken landscape, a commanding presence that demanded silence and submission. The power flowing through him brought the world to its knees.
Clad in an exquisite combination of sleek, jet-black and pearl-white armor, his form was like a living embodiment of evilness and virtue.
The armor adhered to his body like a second skin, a masterful fusion of both light and dark energies.
The surface gleamed like a reflective mirror, matching the eternal battle within him, while intricate lines of gold and obsidian pulsed faintly, tracing runic patterns across his chest and limbs.
These patterns seemed to come alive, glowing with the power he now commanded, their glow both mysterious and ominous.
The ground seemed to quiver beneath his feet, acknowledging the quiet yet unmistakable dominance he now exuded. His presence was as imposing as it was otherworldly, every movement an expression of perfect control over light, darkness, and everything in between.
As he stood tall amidst the broken expanse of his Inner World, a celestial ring formed behind him, a luminous halo that danced in perfect harmony with his aura.
The halo was a swirling balance of brilliant gold and consuming black, an ethereal symbol of duality that encapsulated his very essence. It rotated slowly, a reflection of his inner conflict, sending ripples of energy through the air that made the ground tremble.
The ring's presence was a constant reminder of the forces within him, both destructive and divine. The very air seemed to grow heavy under its weight, as if the entire world had paused to witness his birth.
After recovering from the trance, Shido finally realize what happened and he was astonished to discover the massive changer that occur. Looking at his current state, he began to examine himself carefully.
'Astral Dress...'
His School uniform was replaced by an ethereal robe.
His previous human appearance had transformed into someone even he himself could not recognize.
His formerly short hair had now cascaded down his back to his hips with a brilliant silvery-white sheen. His features, once soft and youthful, were now sharp and flawless with a reflection of divinity.
He looked less human now and more like an otherworldly being.
A celestial presence.
But as Shido admired his new form, a startling realization washed over him.
Something felt... incomplete. He reached for out all over his body, only to find out what was missing.
'No weapon, no companion, no Angel!' His heart sank as he searched in vain for his Angel, the very embodiment of a Spirit's strength, was nowhere to be found.
His lips parted, ready to shout a complain thinking how unfair it was.
But just as he opened his mouth, an overwhelming surge of pain shot through his head.
The agony was unlike anything he had ever felt before.
It was sharp, unrelenting, and absolute. His mind, body, and spirit buckled under the pressure as his transformation was forcefully canceled.
Before he could process what was happening, everything around him blurred, and his vision darkened. His consciousness slipped away, his body collapsing to the ground.
Ding!

[System Update will now occur.]
The last thing Shido heard before everything faded into nothingness was the system's cold, mechanical announcement. His body fell forward, unconscious, before a figure caught his falling body.
Phantom, with her current form that of a pink-haired student, teleported gracefully to his side, catching him just before he hit the ground.
She held his unconscious body, her face softening with affection as she gently adjusted his weight. A fond smile crept across her lips as she gazed down at him, considering the events that had transpired.
