Reincarnated As Shiba Clan’s Heir! (Bleach-Gin)

Ch61- Shatter!

From his hiding spot, Kazuki's grip on his Zanpakuto tightened, his blood boiling with each word Tokinada spoke. A simmering fury threaded through his veins, his heart pounding against his ribcage. The audacity, the sheer arrogance, it was insufferable. Yet, he clung to the shadows, to patience. His mind, although filled with murderous intent, calculated his next moves with cold precision.

Aware that the stakes were high, he had no room for mistakes. His entrance needed to be as unexpected as a lightning bolt, as swift as a gale, and as deadly as a venomous viper.

One of Kazuki's Zanpakuto abilities was Shinsou. The weapon could elongate with a thought, reaching out like a silent and deadly arrow to pierce through the hearts of his enemies. But using such an ability here carried significant risks. If he missed, his intention would be exposed, and he would be at the mercy of Tokinada's wrath. And if he succeeded, those who knew of this ability would put the pieces together and link him to the assassination. It was a risk he couldn't afford to take.

Yet, as the disturbing conversation unfolded before him, an alternative dawned on him. Kazuki's lips curled into a grim smile. It was audacious, bordering on madness. But he had no choice. The stakes were too high to not take a chance.

Kazuki, shrouded in the darkness, held his breath, even his heartbeat falling silent as he focused. Kamijō Tenseiga, his Zanpakuto, resonated within him, an echo of a power borrowed and kept hidden until now.

He had stolen Aizen's Reiatsu before when the latter attacked him, and now he held onto it like a secret weapon, waiting for the perfect moment to wield it. This was his chance. His purpose here was not only to eliminate Tokinada but also to strike a blow to Aizen himself. With this in mind, Kazuki moved, his form barely making a rustle against the underbrush.

Seizing the moment, Kazuki quietly grasped the hilt of his Zanpakuto, Kamijō Tenseiga. It wasn't his usual form of a long thin blade, but a normal katana, an echo of Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu. It was a dangerous gamble, but Kazuki knew he had no other choice. To outwit the likes of Tokinada Tsunayashiro and protect Kakyo, he needed to rely on the trickery that Aizen's Reiatsu had granted him.

In one swift movement, Kazuki pulled his hood over his face, masking his identity, and stepped out from his hiding place. He materialized before Tokinada and his men, a shadowy figure under the moonlit night. The forest around them suddenly fell deathly quiet, as if holding its breath in anticipation.

"Shatter, Kyōka Suigetsu," Kazuki intoned, and a strange sensation engulfed him, almost as if the air had become heavier. He felt his Reiatsu intertwine with those of the trio. A subtle shift, an ethereal pull and he was connected to their senses, manipulating their perception. He could feel how they perceived the world around them, a puppet master controlling the strings.

With his Reiatsu intertwined with that of Tokinada and his men, Kazuki felt a profound understanding of Aizen's Shikai. He had forged a connection to their senses, and now, like a conductor leading an orchestra, he started to manipulate their perception. The world around them warped subtly, becoming a battlefield filled with phantom adversaries. To Tokinada and his cohorts, these illusions were real, tangible, and as deadly as any enemy they had ever faced.

Amidst the chaos, Kazuki led them further into the secluded wilderness, away from the city and its potential witnesses. He did so by guiding their illusion enemies, making them appear as though they were dashing from the shadowy depths of the forest, spurring Tokinada and his men to give chase.

In this wild and disorienting world of deception, Kazuki created two distinct figures: one was Aizen, his face obscured but his characteristic glasses glinting ominously in the faint light; the other was Tousen, his dark skin exposed briefly when his hood shifted. These familiar adversaries, while illusions, induced an adrenaline rush in Tokinada's men, causing them to plunge even deeper into Kazuki's well-crafted deception.

While they were preoccupied with their perceived foes, Kazuki seized his opportunity. Like a specter, he maneuvered silently through the underbrush, his movements precise and deadly. One by one, he eliminated Tokinada's goons. They fell, their eyes wide with shock and fear, the last thing they saw being an illusionary foe delivering the killing blow.

Next, Kazuki turned his attention to Tokinada. With a flicker of movement, too quick for the human eye to follow, he moved in, striking with lethal intent. The aim was not to kill but to maim, to render Tokinada helpless. His Zanpakuto, swift and deadly, descended upon the man, slicing through the air.

Tokinada, still lost in the illusions, barely had time to react. A sharp pain exploded in his arms, quickly followed by an agonizing jolt from his legs. He stumbled, a silent scream trapped in his throat as he crashed onto the forest floor, crippled. His limbs lay severed beside him, the realization of his situation slowly seeping into his psyche as the illusions faded away.

As Tokinada writhed in pain, a fleeting figure emerged from the shadows, looming over him. The silver-haired man gazed down at the helpless nobleman, his sky-blue eyes radiating cold disdain. Without a word, he disappeared back into the forest, leaving behind only a chilling echo of his presence.

It was done. Tokinada Tsunayashiro, the man with grand ambitions, was left powerless and alone, a mere plaything in the hands of a vengeful phantom. Meanwhile, Kazuki, the puppet master behind this cruel performance, retreated into the depths of the forest. His plan had succeeded, his enemies lay defeated, and his secret weapon remained undetected. For now, he was safe. The night continued to unfold, its shadows swallowing the remnants of the chilling encounter.
