Chapter 17: Intention.
The man while dragging the middle-aged man. See a familiar individual. "Where are you going?"
The skinny man wearing the same executioner mask made several hand gestures.
"Okay, see you later."
The skinny man nodded and proceeded to walk to the room.
Jaxon tried to open the prison cell door and stopped when he heard a footstep.
Entering the room, the skinny man goes toward Jaxon.
"What do you want?" Jaxon recognized the skinny man's figure before he fainted.
"Do you want to escape?"

A few weaker later. Inside a chamber, many dark tendrils appear from the ritual formation on the table and enter the man's body. Levi is examining the unconscious test subject. The king started using soldiers as test subjects. Thanks to that the success rate to become a dhampir has increased. However, it’s hard to control the dhampir. Because they are stronger than a normal human.
Some of them even try to escape by controlling the zombie. But the palace has already set up a countermeasure for this situation. The weakness of a dhampir is fire and a stab in the heart. Another problem is that there is not enough manpower. They can’t use the army in case their activity below the palace is exposed.
While Levi is thinking. Someone ran and entered the chamber.
"Sir Levi, we are under attack!"

Levi is not sure what is going on, but without hesitation, he takes a dagger and stabs the unconscious dhampir's heart. After making sure that the dhampir is dead. He goes to the secret passage to escape.
"What about the test subject?" Asked the man. Since there are dhampirs and zombies that have been imprisoned in the underground chamber.
"We can only leave them here." Answered Levi, "If the people accidentally release them, it means they are unlucky. Because both of the monsters required blood and meat to sustain themselves.
The people inside the underground chamber who heard the news began to escape. However, when they open the stone wall to enter the secret passage to the outside. A group of people holding a musket are already waiting for them.
Behind them is someone that Levi knew a skinny man wearing an executioner mask.

All of them chose to surrender, including Levi. He can escape, but he needs to know what is going on before making the next plan. He focused on the mission that he ignored what was happening to the kingdom.
They are all being led through the secret passage. After coming out of the building, they enter a horse wagon. Outside, there are many soldiers guarding the street.

Inside the palace, the crown prince is sitting on the throne.
"Crown prince, we have captured the researcher."
"How is my father?"
"The soldiers are guarding the king's room."

"Yes."

At first, the crown prince doesn’t want to interfere with his father's new hobby. Every ruler in this world wants to live longer. But everything changes when a researcher named Levi succeeds in creating an undead zombie. The crown prince's mind is on how to use the zombies to attack other kingdoms.
While the crown prince thought there were no more results. The same researcher manages to change humans into dhampirs. At that time, he begins to worry that his father will live longer and refuse to give him the throne. Because of that, he began contacting the remnants of Freedom Liberation rebels to cooperate. The crown prince also exposed inhuman experiments that had been conducted below the palace.
One of the soldiers, named Jaxon, who has been kidnapped, manages to escape. And report it to the military. There are a few generals who try to stop him, however, with the crown prince's intervention, everything is being exposed to the public.
Thanks to that, the kingdom generals stationed outside the capital city returned and showed allegiance to the crown prince. King Donovan's loyalists were already being captured and imprisoned.

Levi, while inside the wagon, has been ordered to enter the palace. He has been brought to the throne room, and in front of him is the crown prince, whom he has seen several times. As soon as he entered and saw the crown prince, he quickly knelt.

King Donovan had been imprisoned in his own room for several days. Even his secret guards have betrayed him. Suddenly, a figure appears near his bed and covers his mouth with clothes, and the king loses consciousness.
The black-clad figure carries the king outside the window and jumps down using a rope. After that, he disappears into the night.
When the king wakes up, his limbs are shackled on top of a table.
"Your majesty, you are awake."
"Who are you?"
"Levi, the one that you hired to conduct the experiment on humans."
"Why are you bringing me here?" Said the king calmly. Since he doesn’t have a long time to live, there is no reason to be sacred.
"I want to help extend your majesty's life."
"Why are you helping me? According to the report, it only has a fifty percent chance of succeeding."
"There is no reason, and your majesty is right. However, I have something that can help your majesty endure the transformation." Levi takes out a large glass container that is filled with red liquid.

"The crown prince's blood."
"Do you kill him?"
"No, the crown prince is alive, and he has already successfully turned into a Dhampir. I extracted your Highness's blood while he was still unconscious." Levi looks at the blood with interest. Levi raises his hand, creates a magic circle, and controls the blood inside the glass container to enter the cut wound.
While the king screamed, Levi infused his mana into the ritual formation. Making more dark tendrils come out.
"AAAHHHH!" King Donovan's wrinkles slowly disappear, and his white hair turns black.
After a few hours, the dark tendril disappears, and everything returns to normal. The only thing that changes is King Donovan's appearance.
Levi waits patiently for the king to wake up.
When the king opens his eyes, both of his blue iris have turned red.
"How does your majesty feel?"
"I feel full of energy like I am young."
"Good, that means the transformation is successful."
