In the Cirean Kingdom, a group of mercenaries, men and women, are riding a horse and escorting a caravan on the snowy road.
Inside a carriage, Ethan looks out the window and can see trees and snow move past them. His wife and daughter sleep soundly because of exhaustion. He looks at his wife's tired face and feels guilty. It reminds him of when they both eloped because her parents refused his proposal.
Although his wife manages to mend with her parents again thanks to his daughter, His wife's parents still hate him. It’s ironic that now he needs to ask his wife's family for help.
Suddenly the carriage stops, and a muscular man riding on the horse goes beside the carriage.
"Mr. Ethan the scout finds a large number of monster footprints not far from here; we will wait until everything is safe before moving."
"I understand." Ethan nodded. The muscular man is the leader of the mercenary group that he hired to escort them out of this kingdom. Although the price is expensive, it was worth it because of the mercenary group's reputation and skill.

Ethan's destination is the Brusan kingdom, the land of merchants and the base of Gryphon Merchant, one of the top merchant organizations.
"Mr. Ethan, we will soon be in the town near the border to resupply." The mercenary leader spoke.
When they arrive, Ethan can see the high stone wall protecting the town. Compared to other towns and cities, the town here doesn’t suffer a large casualty from the monster tide. Because of the far distance from Violet and Pondover forests.

Ethan and the rest finally snap out of it and go to the horned bear to get the girl down. After a while, the horned bear stands up again.
"I am sorry for my daughter's behavior."
"It's fine." After saying that, Levi and the rest left.
Levi wanders the street to see if he can find anything interesting. Right now he has no problem with money thanks to the dead noble son who became a bandit in the violet forest, and he also takes a mission from the mercenary guild to hunt bandits. Robbing bandits is the fastest way to earn money. It reminds Levi that in his past life, he robbed a cocaine dealer or gang.
