Chapter 6: The Blood Witch
In a village, there is a young girl with black hair named Clara. She lives with her mother and several siblings. One day, someone came to the village and wanted to find a girl to train as a maid to work in the capital city. Most young girls and women wanted to work there. Clara is also the same; with this, she can help her mother and sibling.
"Take care of yourself." A middle-aged woman's eyes become moist.
"Don’t worry, Mother, I will." Clara's eyes also become moist, but she tries not to cry.
After saying goodbye, the village girls and women that have been chosen enter the horse wagon. But that is where their hell starts. It turned out the man was a slave trader. Although slavery has been banned, it still existed in secret.

Inside an underground prison. Clara's body has been soiled and scarred. Her eyes are emotionless. But one day she sees hope: one of the guards torturing her dies of a heart attack. She took the key to unlock the prison door and escaped. Along the way, she sees many people like her and releases them all.
Thanks for her action. It allowed her to escape when the other guards were busy capturing other slaves. However, she can’t run far because of an injury. Exhausted, she hid in the building corner.
"Child, do you want to live?" A cloak-dressed elderly woman spoke.
Clara looks at the elderly woman's sinister face. If she returned, she would be tortured and violated again. It’s better to die. "Yes." She answered before fainting.
The elderly woman raises her hand. A tendril of blood comes out and carries the girl. "It looks like I will have an apprentice before I die." The elderly woman murmured.
Not far from the scene were a few men lying on the pavement. But their bodies are shriveled.

Inside an abandoned house, a black-haired woman with a scarred face and body is reminiscing about her past. People called her the Blood Witch. And in front of her are several men and women who have been chained to the wall.
"Please let me go; I will pay you anything too."
"Yes, please."
They pleaded and promised many things to be released. However, the Blood Witch ignored them. Every week, the Blood Witch will bring new victims and begin torturing them to death. The floor is stained with human blood, and the smell is similar to that of a butcher shop.
"Noisy." After saying that, all of them quickly shut up. And their bodies are trembling from fear.
"Now, who will be the lucky one today?" The Blood Witch looks at the man and woman in front of her. All of them are people who have committed many crimes. Bribery, murder, rape, and many other things
Her job is simply torture and killing. "If only my teacher can see me now." The Blood Witch looks at the ceiling. "Okay, enough reminiscing." She opens her arm, and two bloody whips appear. "Now, start praying so you will die faster."

At night, Pondover Forest The caravans have stopped and set up camp to sleep.
A large carcass is being roasted on the open fire. The one that cooks it is Levi, and near him is Ben the horned bear. Because of the delicious smell, Sir Austin and Kevin join them.
"Your cooking is like that of a top chef in the city. No, even better than them." Kevin spoke while eating the meat.
"I agreed." Austin nodded while stuffing more meat inside his mouth. Ben sees that she eats the meat faster.
After finishing eating, most of them go to sleep. Except for the people who need to do the night watch. Fortunately, Levi is not one of them. They thought Levi was a monster tamer, not a warrior or mage. Without activating mana, most people can’t detect how strong someone is without a special device.
Levi is sitting cross-legged and meditating. He has secretly observed the mercenaries and bodyguards in the camp. Some of them look stronger than him. "What happen." When he turns around, he sees a headless body collapse to the ground. "The witch is here!" Suddenly the man's vision became slanted, and the last thing he saw was the ground.
"It looks like I will have fun tonight." The Blood Witch raises her hand, and the blood from the corpses comes out and flows into her hand.
"She is here!"
"Take this." The Blood Witch threw a ball of blood toward the man who shouted. The blood ball exploded, became sharp, and pierced the man's face and body.
"Ahhhh!" The man closes his eyes in pain. After that, a red sword pierced through the man's body. The man's body begins to shrivel.
While the Blood Witch absorbs the man's blood. More people come out of the woods. And surrounded her.
"Witch, how dare you kill them!" Seeing his man dead, the burly man is livid. He has been hired to find a missing noble son. However, he is too late, and the scion and other victims are dead. And finding a replacement for his follower is troublesome.
Dozens of people wearing light armor are preventing the scarred-faced woman from fleeing. What they don’t know is that the Blood Witch has no intention of escaping in the first place.

The caravans, after a long journey, have arrive in Cirean Kingdom border. All of them begin to relax and joke around. The caravan belonging to Austin doesn’t suffer any casualties. Because of Ben protecting them. While Levi acted like a monster tamer. The other merchants tried to persuade Levi, with a better offer, but he refused.
Ember and Austin, after finding out about that, Have a good impression of Levi. At least he is loyal. What they don’t know is that Levi just wanted this world map. After that, he will return to Pondover Forest to train.
The horn bear is happy because a nice human named Austin and Kevin sometimes give him honey. But according to Levi, honey is precious and rare and can’t be found easily.
After a while, Nolan, the leader of the guard goes to Austin carriage. "We found are corpses, and there is no ambush."
"Can I have the corpses?" Levi asked.
"Yes, you can; no one will fight you over dead corpses," Austin remembers every time; they kill a monster. Levi will ask for the carcass.
"Thank you."
Levi goes to the location of the corpses that have been gathered. When no one is looking, the corpses turn into an invisible particle of light and disappear.

"Maybe they have been attacked by a vampire. Let’s go." The corpses look like something have suck out their blood. From what Levi knows, vampires exist in this world. But they usually live in their own kingdom and rarely venture out. Except for their half-blood offspring, the Dhampir.
Not far from the crime scene. The Blood Witch looks in a certain direction. “My intuition is telling me something fun is over there.”
