Reincarnation In Smallville

Chapter 44: Themyscira [44]

Kent Farm, Morning

Clark came downstairs, finding his parents in the kitchen. Martha was preparing breakfast while Jonathan read the newspaper at the table.

"Mom, Dad, I need to talk to you about something important," Clark said, standing next to the table.

Martha looked up from the frying pan, while Jonathan lowered the newspaper, both curious. "Of course, son, what is it?" Jonathan asked.

Clark approached and pulled out a chair, sitting down. "I've been thinking about traveling during the break. I think it would be good for me to explore more of the world, see new places, and have some time to reflect."

Martha exchanged a worried look with Jonathan. "Traveling alone, Clark? I'm not sure that's a good idea…"

Clark gave a reassuring smile. "I understand your concern, Mom. But I think it's something I need to do. Besides, it would give you two some time alone. You could even go on a second honeymoon."

Jonathan looked at Martha, considering Clark's words. "A second honeymoon, huh? It's been a while since we took a vacation together…"

Martha sighed, a bit hesitant, but seeing the determination in her son's eyes. "I don't like the idea of you traveling alone, Clark. But we have to trust you. If this is what you feel you need, then we support you."

Jonathan nodded, placing a hand on Clark's shoulder. "Just be careful, son. We want you to enjoy yourself, but more importantly, we want you to be safe."

Clark smiled, standing up from the chair. "Thanks, Mom. Thanks, Dad. I promise I'll be careful." He then headed upstairs to start packing.

Martha looked at Jonathan, still with a concerned expression. "I don't like the idea of him traveling alone, but we have to trust him."

"I know, Martha. He's grown, and he's finding his own path. We can only support him and trust that he knows what he's doing," Jonathan said, sighing.

...

Clark stood on a deserted highway, surrounded by open fields that stretched to the horizon. The place was empty, with only the wind blowing across the lonely road. He had left the truck back at the farm, as he wouldn't need it for where he was going.

"Jor-El, are you there?" Clark asked, looking up at the dark, cloud-filled sky.

[I am here, Kal-El.]

"I have the memories of future Clark, but… can I do this? Can I follow the right path?"

[From the moment you do everything accordingly, you will succeed, Kal-El. Remember, you have the power and the knowledge. Trust in yourself.]

Clark took a deep breath, grateful for Jor-El's words. "Thanks, Jor-El. Now I just need to run, and run really fast."

Clark positioned himself on the highway, ready to start. He leaned slightly forward, feeling the air around him grow heavier. Suddenly, he began to run, his feet moving faster and faster.

Blue lightning began to spark around Clark as he ran, his body accelerating beyond human limits. He felt the Speed Force energy coursing through his body, the lightning intensifying as he gained speed.

Fwoosh!

[You need to be faster, Kal-El], Jor-El's voice echoed in his mind.

Clark pushed harder, the blue lightning intensifying as the world around him began to blur. The asphalt stretched beneath his feet, and the trees on the roadside seemed to bend and move in green blurs.

Clark kept running, the world around him becoming a smear of light and shadow, until finally, a portal began to form in front of him, a swirling vortex of blue light and pulsing energy.

Whoosh!

The portal opened fully, and Clark dashed through it without hesitation, disappearing from the highway.

...

Clark emerged from the portal into a completely different place. He found himself on a tropical island, surrounded by a vast, blue ocean. The white sand gleamed under the sun, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore was calming. Tall, lush trees formed a dense forest further inland, and brightly colored birds flew over the treetops.

Clark looked around, realizing there was no one there. The place seemed untouched, as if no human had set foot there for a long time. He took a deep breath, feeling the fresh, salty air.

"I think it worked," Clark said, glancing around and feeling a mixture of relief and excitement.

Clark then turned invisible, his body gradually fading until there was no visible trace of him left. He knew he had to be cautious, especially in an unfamiliar place.

With his invisibility activated, Clark leaped into the air and began to fly. He rose above the trees, soaring over the island. From above, he had an even more impressive view of the place. The island was vast, with mountains covered in vegetation, waterfalls cascading down cliffs, and small lakes hidden among the trees.

As he flew over the island, Clark began to notice some details. Statues of warrior women carved in stone were scattered in strategic locations, and he realized that the structures seemed ancient, as if they held a rich and deep history.

Clark furrowed his brow, trying to remember something. He had seen descriptions of a place like this before. And then, suddenly, it all made sense.

"This is... Themyscira," Clark thought, excitement growing inside him. "The island of the Amazons. The home of Wonder Woman."

Clark smiled, feeling a rush of adrenaline and enthusiasm. He had always been curious about Themyscira, a legendary place that few had the chance to see. Being here, even accidentally, was a unique opportunity.

"Wow, this is going to be interesting," Clark said, still invisible, as he continued to explore the island from the air, feeling his excitement grow with each second.

Clark flew over the island for a while, until he spotted the first inhabitants. Amazons, wearing gleaming armor and determined expressions, were patrolling an area near what appeared to be a training field. Clark paused in the air for a moment, reading the memories of the women.

'No man has ever set foot here,' Clark thought, impressed. 'Diana is still here.'

Clark smiled to himself. 'I arrived before Steve Trevor.'

Determined to find Diana, Clark cautiously flew across the island, still invisible. He soared over training grounds, magnificent gardens, and stone structures that appeared to be ancient temples. Every detail of the place seemed rich with history and power.

Finally, Clark spotted Diana alone in a secluded clearing, swinging a sword as she practiced combat moves. She was focused, her movements graceful and powerful, the sword slicing through the air with precision.

Clark landed softly among the nearby trees, watching Diana for a moment. He was captivated by her beauty and strength, the combination of power and grace in her movements. "A wonder of a woman," he murmured to himself, smiling.

Clark deactivated his invisibility, reappearing among the trees. He took a step forward and began walking calmly toward Diana, maintaining a serene and friendly posture. He knew he had to be careful not to startle her or appear as a threat.

As Clark approached, he felt his excitement grow. Finally, he was going to meet Diana, Wonder Woman, and learn more about this legendary place.

...

Diana's POV

I woke up to the first rays of sunlight filtering through the leaves of the trees around my room. The sound of birds echoed across the island, bringing a sense of peace and renewal. Themyscira was a blessed place, where every day was a new opportunity to improve, to become stronger and more prepared for any challenge.

I got out of bed, stretching my arms and feeling my muscles relax. Today was another day of training, but something inside me always sparked a bit of curiosity. I wondered what the world outside the limits of our island was like. The world of men, which we always heard about, seemed so distant, yet so full of mysteries and dangers. I wanted to understand what lay beyond, to know what separated us from them and what connected us.

After having my breakfast, I walked to the training field, where my aunt Antiope was already waiting for me. She was the general of the Amazons and, to me, a role model. Her teachings were rigorous, but they always had a clear purpose: to prepare me to face any challenge.

I grabbed my sword and positioned my shield, taking a deep breath before facing Antiope. She smiled, her gaze determined, and I knew this would be an intense training session. It didn't take long for the swords to clash.

Clang! Clang!

The sound of metal clashing echoed through the clearing, each blow struck with precision. Antiope was fast, and I had to be even quicker to keep up with her movements. My muscles moved automatically, each block, each attack guided by the years of training I had received. My aunt constantly challenged me, making each session a test of endurance and skill.

Clang!

Finally, after several minutes, Antiope raised her hand, signaling for us to stop. We were both out of breath, but satisfied with the training. "Very well, Diana. You're getting better and better," she said with an approving smile. I responded with a smile, feeling proud of her words.

After the training, I decided to go to a more secluded clearing, where I could practice alone. I liked that place, where the tranquility allowed me to focus on my thoughts and improve my moves. I grabbed my sword and began practicing, swinging it through the air and imagining the strikes I could land in battle.

That's when something caught my attention. My senses sharpened, and I knew I was no longer alone. I heard footsteps approaching, light and careful, as if someone was trying not to be noticed. I quickly turned, raising my sword in the direction of whoever it was.
