Chapter 26: 25- The Dance 2
As Ron followed Ruby, his eyes narrowed when he saw her entering a building with unconscious guards scattered around the entrance. His instincts flared, and he knew something was wrong. Ruby hurried into the elevator, so Ron took a different approach, climbing the side of the building with ease. He soon reached a floor where two people—a guy and a girl—stood waiting. They looked oddly familiar, like fragments of forgotten memories, but he couldn't quite place them.
His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Ruby step out of the elevator and get attacked by the pair. Without hesitation, Ron broke the window with a powerful kick and lunged inside, heading straight for the guy standing next to the girl.
[Guy]: Ah, we meet again. Me, myself, and the girls. How are the Colors doing, huh? You, who lost himself to lies.
The word Colors triggered something deep in Ron. A rage boiled up within him, and he felt his hands clench instinctively.
The guy seemed to smile at Ron's reaction, smirking wickedly.
[Guy]: The Black one is watching with the White one, aren't they? But it doesn't matter... I, Red, will kill the Black Tyrant.
Before Ron could react, both the guy and the girl leaped through the shattered window. Ruby, now on her feet, quickly followed them, with Ron right behind her. But when they looked outside, the two figures had vanished into the night.
Ron growled under his breath, trying to keep his anger in check.
[Ron]: That guy must've been a racist or something... Or maybe just some brain-sick weirdo who likes cryptic words. Gaster once told me that's just the average person from Atlas.
Inside his mind, two familiar voices stirred.
[Black]: Looks like Red needs a lesson, don't you agree, White?
[White]: You know this problem can be solved if you just let me—or anyone else, like Grey—handle it.
[Black]: I don't like any of you Colors existing in Ron's body, to be honest. Maybe I should act instead, Black growled.
White started sweating profusely in response, knowing what Black's "action" would entail.
Back to reality, Ron and Ruby were left standing in awkward silence after the mysterious duo had vanished.
[Ruby]: Ron, why are you here?
She asked, her tone a mix of curiosity and concern.
[Ron]: I just followed you, Ruby.
Before Ruby could respond, they were interrupted by a loud, commanding voice.
[General Ironwood]: Raise your hands, both of you! Now explain to me everything that happened here.
Ron and Ruby exchanged a glance, knowing they were in for a tough explanation.
[Ruby]: General, I... I didn't mean to—
[Ron]: We were just—
Ironwood cut them off with a sharp gesture.
[General Ironwood]: Enough. We'll discuss this back at the academy. For now, you're coming with me.
[Ron]: Don't worry, Ruby. I've got a lawyer, and if things go south, I've got an advisor who'll stab the biggest guy in the room, then shout that you're the boss now.
He added, his expression completely serious. Ruby and Ironwood stood there, mouths agape, struggling to process the absurdity of what Ron had just said.
Ron, Ruby, and Ironwood froze as Gaster appeared, his casual approach breaking the tension in the room.
[Gaster]: Hey, General. I was just thinking about something and—
He paused, finally noticing Ron and Ruby standing awkwardly
[Gaster]: Wait a second... Ron? Ruby? Why are you two here?
Ron, quick with his antics, pointed at Gaster with a confident grin.
[Ron]: See, General? This is my lawyer. Gaster, help me out here, and I'll give you half the... uh... "staff.".
He winked at Gaster, clearly referring to something else entirely, possibly some Dust they'd found. Gaster gave a sly smile, raising two fingers as if negotiating.
[Ron]: Okay, okay, 70%.
Gaster chuckled, turning to General Ironwood.
[Gaster]: Friend Ironwood, why don't we have a chat? Let's talk about something important. You two,
He added, motioning toward Ron and Ruby, can go, As Gaster led General Ironwood away, Ron turned to Ruby with a grin.
[Ron]: See? Told you, I've got this under control.
Ruby raised an eyebrow, clearly still in disbelief.
[Ruby]: You just bribed Gaster with... "stuff"? What was that even about?
Ron waved it off casually.
[Ron]: Ah, don't worry about it. Just a little bargaining chip we had lying around.
He glanced at the unconscious guards and broken window.
[Ron]: But we should probably get out of here before anyone else asks too many questions.
Ruby sighed.
[Ruby]: This has been... a weird night.
[Ron]: Weird? Nah, this is just a Tuesday for us, he joked, patting her on the shoulder.
As they started to make their way back, they heard Gaster's voice echoing from the distance as he talked to Ironwood.
[Gaster]: So, about those glowing neon lights I was thinking of adding to the Academy's defense systems...
Ruby gave Ron a side glance, smiling slightly.
[Ruby]: I guess Gaster has his own way of handling things too.
Ron chuckled.
[Ron]: Yeah, you could say that Now let us return to the party I want to see the place where Gaster danced with Weiss.
As Ron and Ruby walked back to the party Ozpin and Gaster were having a word with General Ironwood.
[Gaster]: Ozpin, today we were attacked by the enemy you mentioned. After searching the area, we found that they left us a gift in one of the servers on the computer.
[Ozpin]: A gift? I doubt it's something we'd want.
General Ironwood crossed his arms, his mechanical arm glinting in the low light.
[Ironwood]: What did you find?
Gaster gestured for them to lean in closer.
[Gaster]: Encrypted files—plans and schematics. It looks like they're gearing up for something big, and they're not just targeting us. And you know what that means.
Gaster summoned some hands that brought many documents that he shared with the others.
[Gaster]: It means we need to prepare. Whatever they're planning, it's more than just a simple attack. We'll need everyone on high alert, This is why I prepared for this.
[Ozpin]: It looks like you were prepared more than necessary, Why do you think that the enemy will flood the city with Grim and water
[Ironwood]: You even have a plan if we were betrayed by our allies, Plans for an all-out war, and even plans for mankind to retreat to the underground if we lost
[Gaster]: I've seen what happens when complacency sets in. It's not just the Grimm we need to worry about anymore. If they flood the city, it'll be chaos. We can't afford to be caught off guard.
[Ozpin]: And these plans... you've accounted for possible betrayals?
[Gaster]: Absolutely. In this world, trust can be a luxury. We need contingencies for every scenario, even ones we hope will never happen.
General Ironwood nodded, his expression a mix of respect and concern. [Ironwood]: You've thought this through, Gaster. But we can't let fear dictate our actions. We need to maintain morale, especially with the party tonight.
[Gaster]: I agree, General. But we must strike a balance between keeping spirits high and ensuring everyone understands the gravity of our situation. Gentlemen, we are at war and our enemies have already made their moves, we need to move before they outmaneuver us.
[Ozpin]: You're right, Gaster. I will call our allies for a meeting tomorrow.
[Ironwood]: I'll have my troops on standby. If anything goes awry, we need to be ready to respond immediately.
[Gaster]: And I'll set up contingency plans with our teams. If we need to rally, I'll ensure everyone knows their roles.
Gaster clenched his fists and looked at his hands he knew that if Ozpin didn't make a move, he was Ready to make one, and good for him he had a place, He gazed at the mountain city in the distance, he had an army disposal and he was going to use it, As the conversation wrapped up.
Gaster summoned his flying hands, which lifted him off the ground and began carrying him toward the dorm. As he floated away, he continued muttering to himself.
[Gaster]: That damn Weiss has me paralyzed from the waist down! I can't believe she actually pinched my—
He paused, shaking his head in disbelief.
[Gaster]: Good thing I filled her toothpaste with chocolate and vinegar! That should keep her on her toes. Now, did I carry a jar full of fleas? Did I drop it somewhere, My nipples hurt that dame girl.
Somewhere else Weiss Got Yang to carry her and both of them and a blond kid with a red hair girl and maybe half the people in the party were feeling Itchy
