Saving the overbearing CEO

Chapter 507: Sitting On The CEO's Lap

Qie Ranzhe couldn't help himself this time. He laughed unrestrainedly with the vibrations from his chest directly transferring to Wen Qinxi's back making him feel embarrassed. He covered his face with his hands hiding his flushed face.

Even as Qie Ranzhe unpacked the food he brought over for Wen Qinxi, he was still laughing. If he could laugh like this every day it would be awesome.

"Here, come eat before you get back to work," he said taking out stewed mutton with radishes, "I know you like spicy food but it won't be good if you eat it for lunch so I got this." He presented the bento in front of Wen Qinxi before looking around for a place to sit but there wasn't.

Wen Qinxi stood up and offered him his seat which Qie Ranzhe gladly accepted. The only problem was that Wen Qinxi was just being polite. He would have preferred it if Qie Ranzhe would leave his office early so that he wouldn't be misunderstood by the entire department.

What happened next was completely unexpected. Qie Ranzhe grabbed his waist and directed him to sit on his lap. Wen Qinxi wanted to refuse but his tooshie on the other hand was as obedient as a patient high on morphine.

Qie Ranzhe smiled sweetly as he said, "If you spill anything on me I would only be forced to change clothes. Would you let me borrow your hoodie," tugging at Wen Qinxi's hoodie. These words held a deeper meaning that even an old granny with a hearing aid could deduce what he meant. He meant to see Wen Qinxi's tattoo once that hoodie rode up his body. Who could blame him? He was incredibly curious.

Wen Qinxi wanted to stand up and separate himself from this shameless pervert but his waist was pulled tightly till his ear was right by Qie Ranzhe's lips. "You are only allowed to do this with me. If anyone comes to your office direct them to the conference room next door. Do you understand?" he whispered with his intense gaze sweeping over Wen Qinxi's face.

Of course, Wen Qinxi understood what he was saying. Because his office had only one chair for himself his visitors would have nowhere left to sit and the way they were sitting right now was only reserved for Qie Ranzhe.

The problem with that was they weren't boyfriends so he took this threat as a suggestion. He was about to clap back with, "You are not my boyfriend," but Qie Ranzhe's stern expression had him swallowing back those words. He nodded his head as though under compulsion by the vampire Qie Ranzhe.

Qie Ranzhe smiled happily and kissed the man's cheek. "How about you feed me? My hands are occupied," he said rubbing Wen Qinxi's waist with an obvious hint of lust in his eyes.

Wen Qinxi wanted to refuse but he was bound to be on the losing side. Let's just say forty minutes later, the CEO walked out of Wen Qinxi's office with a duchenne smile like he won the lottery making the employees gobsmacked. This piece of gossip spread like a wildfire by the end of the workday. Everyone was looking at him strangely by the time he left the office.

He ignored their rude gazes and left work without saying anything to Qie Ranzhe. He had already been subjected to so much stimulation today that any more would cause his smart brain to short circuit.

While Wen Qinxi was heading home, Qie Ranzhe had already arrived at his family home. He came over to pick up a few things but what he didn't expect to see was Zhao Huangzhi and his mother sitting together in the lounge.

Judging from Zhao Huangzhi's reaction, she wasn't expecting him to be here. This meant this meeting was a secret that wasn't meant to be disclosed to him. Qie Ranzhe ambled over and kissed his mother's cheek completely ignoring Zhao Huangzhi.

Dai Lee thought her son would sit down and probably have dinner with her but he just walked towards the stairs without saying anything else. "Where are you going? Why haven't you said hello to Huan-er?" said Dai Lee.

She knew something happened between the two of them but from Zhao Huangzhi's version, it sounded like something trivial. She knew her son was as stubborn as a billy goat so she decided to intermediate.

Qie Ranzhe's footsteps paused with his gaze falling on Zhao Huangzhi who obviously had been crying. Her heart jolted thinking he was finally looking at her but that death glare meant it wasn't anything good.

Qie Ranzhe walked back with killing intent apparent in his eyes but Dai Lee was still trying to reunite this pair of lovers so she didn't notice the obvious hostility. She said, "You aren't young anymore. You have to discuss this like adults."

He stood at the end of the stairs and replied, "Do you know what she said to me when she rejected my proposal? Did she tell you about it?"

Dai Lee had suspected that her son planned to propose but she didn't think he actually did. She didn't even have time to celebrate that her son was ready to settle down because of the word rejected.

Zhao Huangzhi shook her head biting her lower lip aggrievedly. "I wasn't, wasn't in my right mind. It wa-was my father who made me," she stammered looking pitiful.

Qie Ranzhe chuckled and said, "She said she was only dating me because you begged her not to leave me."

Dai Lee's head abruptly turned to face Zhao Huangzhi with a contemptuous look. "What? Did you say that to him?"

Zhao Huangzhi didn't think things would go down this path. She tried to defend herself but Qie Ranzhe wouldn't give her a chance. "Not only that but I know she is the one who sent you the black material about me in high school. I was so stupid before but not anymore," he said before turning to leave. He had more important things to do and Zhao Huangzhi wasn't his problem anymore.

He let her go on account of their past but if she dares to make one more move he wouldn't hesitate to bankrupt the Zhao family. This could count as her last chance.

From upstairs he could hear his mother screaming at Zhao Huangzhi calling her vulgar names. He crouched down to open his safe and took out a box smaller than the size of a shoebox. A radiant smile appeared on his face as he opened it. Inside was a pair of silver necklaces he bought in high school. One had a lock and the other had a key attached to it.

He lifted them both up with indescribable emotions in his eyes. Just then he heard a loud resounding slap followed by Zhao Huangzhi's scream and his mother yelling get out.
