Chapter 14: Chapter 14 - Christmas, Cash, & Comfort II
It's motherfucking Amazon, after all. What a time to be fucking alive. These twenty million will be worth twenty billion in just two decades. Dudley felt his palms sweating already. Furthermore, he knew when to invest more money in the company, so he was hell-bent on squeezing out as many big 'B's from Amazon as he could.
"It's not that I doubt you, Dudley. I just… feel that we're going too fast. You've committed fifty-five million across just five companies—it's a substantial risk for such concentrated investments."
Tens of billions! Fuck, I'm already the world's fifth richest if all these investments go according to my past life. And I'm just getting started.
Dudley was dancing inside, keeping his excitement hidden. After all, the greatest investment of his life was yet to be made.
"The Internet is the next big thing, Edwin. Don't worry about it. By the way, did you get me the tickets?"
"They're in your drawer. But who exactly are these two? Larry Page and Sergey, you say?"
Dudley chuckled and checked his drawer, quickly finding a first-class ticket for San Jose, his final destination, Stanford.
"They're a goldmine, Edwin. Alright, I'm busy now. Let me print some more investment money. I'll send you the instructions in a bit." Dudley quickly fired up his boxy computer to start working.
He had great plans, and they required his utmost attention. Although currently, he called D&D Capital a private equity firm as he hoped to raise more money from investors. In the long run, he wanted to turn it into his personal conglomerate holding company, more focused on long-term investments.
But still, that didn't mean he wasn't going to take advantage of many national, economic, natural, and man-made crises ahead. Being the richest man wasn't even the final goal anymore. How far he could go was a better outlook to have.
When I died, Jeff had over a hundred billion. How high can I go? Two hundred? Five… Let's not think.

The 24th of December approached. Dudley spent his last four days in his London office, working overtime. He had his personal bedroom just a door away, attached to his personal office. It was a calculated design for… future 'meetings'.
Perhaps, it wasn't long before he'd get the chance to have one of those 'meetings', as he entertained two guests in his office. A man, and a beautiful, blonde, tall witch—Penelope Clearwater and her father.
He had already given them a tour of his office and they were currently drinking some tea together. He noticed Penelope's excited eyes as the job offer letter rested in her hands. At the same time, Mr. Clearwater looked around at the expensive, oak-furnished office with admiration.
"You own this entire building, you said?" Mr. Clearwater asked.
Dudley nodded, taking a few small sips. "I do. But Penelope won't be working here, not really. I've got plans for her to handle the magical side of my business. I've already secured a prime building right on Diagon Alley."
Mr. Clearwater's eyes flickered with a greedy desire. Wizard or not, all dream of wealth. "Can anyone invest in this venture, Mr. Dursley?"
"I'm no longer seeking investors, Mr. Clearwater. However, I would be happy to offer my asset management services. I guarantee a minimum return of twice your investment over three years. So, if you were to invest one million pounds today, you'd receive at least two million in return, though it's likely to be even higher."
Truth be told, Dudley did need investors. But he wasn't looking for small ones like Mr. Clearwater. No, he wanted someone loaded like Lucius Malfoy. He wanted to take that man's money so he could fuck him over when the time is right. But sadly, he needed to plot a bigger lure to pique that man's interest.
Mr. Clearwater smiled with greed and nodded. But, the old Wizard kept a plain face and stood up. "I'll discuss it with my wife and speak with you again, Mr. Dursley. And I thank you for considering Penelope worthy of such an opportunity."
"Dad!" Penelope jumped to her feet in embarrassment. "I'm one of the top students in Hogwarts, you know that, right?"
"You answered yourself, Penelope. 'One of the' does not make you 'the' best. The salary Mr. Dursley is offering isn't even earned by the Head of DMLE." Mr. Clearwater seriously replied, hinting at his gratitude towards Dudley indirectly. "Let's go now, your mum must have made a feast tonight."
Dudley eyed the tall Ravenclaw and chuckled. Her headstrong, serious persona was likely a false persona. This was the real Penelope, smart, beautiful, and lively. "Let's discuss the rest of the things back in school. You still got your NEWTs to worry about."
Woosh!
Dudley got out of his seat to lead the two to the door. But, Penelope beelined to him and hugged him tightly instead, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him into her soft, small bosom. It was a quick hug, but it did enough to make Dudley feel things in his masculine need.
Ah, these hormones. He didn't hate them, but the random erections were starting to become an issue.
"Thank you, Dudley. I can freely focus on NEWTs because of you. I'll work really hard, I promise." Penelope released him with a blush. "I'll see you at Hogwarts."
"Me too." He blurted without thinking, eyes glued to her supple, slender rear as she led her father out of the door in a hurry.
Thud!
As the door was shut, he woke up from the aroused stupor. He looked down and noticed a rise in his pants.
I really need to look for a hand that's not mine for the little one.

Christmas Eve went by uneventfully. Dudley set up a nice, big tree with lights in the living room and placed some gifts under it for his mum and dad. Although he remained neutral towards them, he saw the worth in keeping things on a good note.
When morning came, he opened the presents with the two. Petunia received a diamond necklace from him, and Vernon received Apple's stocks worth a hundred thousand. The man was going to be a multi-millionaire in the future if he kept them.
Meanwhile, he received a handmade sweater from Petunia since there was nothing they could buy for him anymore. Vernon, meanwhile, offered him a meeting with his company's boss' daughter, who was the same age as him.
Dudley initially declined, but once he realized that Vernon was indirectly trying to connect him to a rich investor, he accepted. Vernon's super boss, the owner of the drill-making company, was worth hundreds of millions.
After unwrapping gifts, the three got busy preparing for the night's dinner party. Dudley had invited Susan Bones, Hermione's family, and Harry with his mum. He didn't invite Ron since the family was too big, and he reckoned the Weasleys would rather spend Christmas together.
Slowly, as the night approached, the catering company delivered a variety of foods, drinks, pastries, and whatnot. When the sun set, the bell rang for the first time. Harry, with a newfound shine on his face, entered with his mum.
"Dud, my mum looked at the Gringotts records. She nearly fainted when she saw how you doubled my money. She even wants to have a word with you about it." Harry gave a heads-up, eating some nuggets with his favorite cousin. "Oh, and by the way, Mum insists I go to California with you. She's... really keen on it, and I'm not sure why."
Well, why wouldn't she? Sirius is searching for you like a breeding bull in heat. Wait, did the Potters know Sirius wasn't the secret keeper? They should've, right?
Lost in confusion, he heard another bell ring right then and went to open the door.
Clack!
"Hey, Dudley! Merry Christmas!" Susan jumped to hug the life out of him, her attire a short skirt dress with black stockings underneath. It was intense as she pushed her large breasts a little too much into him, her knees playfully jumping, a ruse to tickle his cock.
But Dudley didn't dare to hug her back as he saw another figure behind Susan. A tall woman with a stoic look, a monocle on one eye, her short hair gray, and her robes very formal in a wizard fashion. There was no doubt, this was it, Amelia Bones.
Why's she here? I didn't invite her.
"Madam Bones." He greeted the tall woman after pushing Susan away.
Madam Bones nodded at him. "Susan speaks highly of you, Mr. Dursley. I'm glad she found a friend like you in Hufflepuff."
Friends who eat each other out? Sure, we're great friends.
Dudley dared not look into her eyes, afraid she might take a look through the memory lane. "It's nothing, Madam Bones. She's an amazing company to have. Please, come inside."
Susan gleefully grabbed his arm and dragged him along. "Dudley, I told my aunt about your company. She's interested in getting ric… I mean investing."
Hah, sure. Everyone's interested in 'investing'.
