Sent to Another World!

It was past noon by the time we finished loading the cargo.

“Alright, Yoshinobu, let’s go.”
Masu urged, but I said,
“Wait a moment, there are people who want to come aboard.”
“People to take with us?”
“Yes, they’re asking if I can take them back to Raad. They seemed really serious, so I agreed.”

“Well, since we travel using your power, I have no objection for anything. But who exactly are they?”
“Um, their names are…”
I was about to reveal their names when a voice could be heard from a distance.

“Mister Yoshinobu, sorry for the delay. These two are the ones I will travel with. My little sister, Louise Maldorado, and our guard, Ornel.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Louise. We’re truly grateful that you’re helping my brother and us with this unreasonable request.”
Louise bowed gracefully.

Louise looked to be around 12 years old, but she seemed to have received a proper education, as her manners were impeccable.
Well, I was momentarily captivated by her appearance as a flawless girl.

“I apologize for not introducing myself earlier. I’m Yoshinobu from Lucas Trading Company. This time, I accepted Mr. Dean’s request to take the three of you to Raad, using my ability to travel. However, I can’t guarantee comfort during the ride.”
“Yes, my brother has told me about that. Also, the ship we used to come here was rocking so much. I’m prepared for anything.”
“Understood. Well then, please board the flying boat. Let’s head out right away.”

Dean and the others boarded the flying boat.
“Everyone, please take your seats. Keep your seatbelts on until further notice. Masu-san, you take the front seat on the assistant pilot’s seat.”
I got everyone settled and then we departed.
Masu hadn’t said a single word since a while ago.
While thinking how weird that is, I operated the flying boat and depart.

“Wow! We’re flying!!”
The three passengers, Dean included were astonished by the scenery visible through the windows.
“That’s right. We’ll be above the clouds, so the storm won’t affect us. Oh, also, you can unfasten your seatbelts now.”
I gave them permission to unfasten their seatbelts and Dean came over to me.
“What on earth is this? I’ve never heard of something like this.”

“This is a power unique to me. I recently joined Lucas Trading Company, and I also only arrived in the Maldorado Kingdom just a few days ago.”

“Unbelievable…”
Dean was speechless.

“Yoshinobu-san, your power is incredible. Can we possibly borrow this power in the future?”
Louise asked me. It’s hard to refuse a cute girl’s request…
“Yes, as long as I have the time, I can lend you my power. But what do you need it for?”
“I’d like to show this view to my father, grandfather, and mother.”
Louise’s peaceful request warmed my heart.
However, Masu’s expression grew even darker…

“Sure thing, anytime. But please note that this ability can only be used on water or flat land. Is there a sea nearby your place?”
“We don’t have a sea nearby…”
Louise seemed disappointed.
“There is another way to fly in the sky. Is that okay?”
“Oh! So, there are other methods!”
Louise’s expression brightened.
As I was getting healed by her cheerful expression, Masu’s expression grew even darker.

Since Louise and Dean had moved away to see the view elsewhere, I decided to talk to Masu.
“Masu, are you okay? You look pale.”
“Yoshinobu, you do understand, right?”
“About what?”
“About the name of the person.”
“Yeah, I heard it after all. Mr. Dean and Miss Louise, and also Mr. Ornel, right?”
“N-No, you still don’t get it!”
“Huh, was I mistaken?”
“No, it’s not that. That person is…”
Masu’s voice trailed off.

“Mr. Yoshinobu, earlier you mentioned that there’s a different way to travel. What kind of method is it?”
Dean talked to me.
“Mr. Dean, it’s just a different type of vehicle.”
“Could I request you to use it and send us to the capital city?”
“Yes, I suppose so. But I’ll need to check my schedule to give you a definite answer. If I’m free, it should be fine.”
“Do you have something planned?”
“I need to deliver cargo to the King’s banquet. The items on board this airship are meant for that.”
“In that case, it’s alright. It would be quicker if we all go together. I’ll talk to Lord Lucas about it. He’s the one who requested me.”
“I see. That works for me. However, I still can’t guarantee the comfort of the ride.”
“Hahaha, I understand. But even so, this vehicle is already quite comfortable. It’s less bumpy than a ship.”
Dean seemed to be enjoying himself. But Masu, on the other hand, had closed his eyes. Maybe he had fallen asleep.
