Chapter 21
Horn wrestled a sword from a guard and aimed it at me, causing screams to fill the air.
“You dare to insult me, Lord Horn. Be prepared for the consequences!”
“Do you really think you can get away with this?”
“Shut up! You showed great disrespect by making a knight kneel. It’s only natural for me to seek vengeance.”
“You insulted a royal, so technically, you’re in the wrong… But since you have a sword pointed at me, I have no choice.”
I pulled out my handgun and shot at both of his legs.
Bang bang, the sound echoed lightly as Horn fell to the ground.
“What’s going on?”
No one understood the situation. In just a moment, the knight that had his sword aimed at a man suddenly collapsed.
“What did you do?”
Even as Horn fell to the floor, he glared at me.
“I shot both your knees the same way I dealt with the bandits that time.”
The surrounding knights rushed over.
“Certainly, it’s the same as what happened with the bandits, just holes in the clothes.”
“In that case, the one who defeated the bandits and saved the lady…”
The knights looked at me.
“About six months ago, when that lady there was attacked by bandits, I was at the top of a cliff. So, I saved her. But, since I couldn’t climb down from the cliff, I left the place. But this guy took credit for it.”
“There was such a thing… Arrest Horn!”
The knights ordered the guards to apprehend Horn.
“What are you doing? Let go of me! Are you not letting go?!”
Horn resisted, but with his legs incapacitated, his struggle wasn’t much. Nevertheless, the guard, fueled by resentment, tied him up, deliberately making it painful.
“Ouch, that hurts! Let go! Loosen the ropes! Please, I won’t resist, so just tie them normally…”
His voice gradually weakened, but the guard continued to tie him without mercy.
“Anna, help me! Order the guards to let me go.”
Horn realized that begging the guards was in vain and turned to Anna for help…
However, Anna remained pale and frozen.
“… Horn, weren’t you the one that saved me?”
“Of course, I saved you. You also saw it, didn’t you?”
Anna glanced at the surrounding knights.
“Miss Anna, you were deceived. There were no signs of sword wounds on the defeated bandits at that time. The method of their defeat had been a mystery until now, but now it’s clear when you see these wounds. It was Yoshinobu here who saved Miss Anna.”
“What… So, I…?”
Shocked, Anna collapsed.
A noblewoman had surrendered her body to Horn while being completely infatuated with him…
“Miss Anna!”
A maid rushed over, helping Anna and leading her into the residence.
Meanwhile, the guards took Horn away.
“Your Royal Highness Louise, we apologize. One of our people has caused this mess.”
Chyse rushed over upon hearing of the situation, but it was all over by then.
“It is okay. I trust you to deal with him. However, since there is such an individual from your family that caused trouble, I can’t stay here anymore. Lucas, could you allow me to stay in your residence?”
“It would be a great honor that will last for eternity to have Princess Louise staying with our household.”
“Thank you. Yoshinobu, let’s talk more tonight.”
Louise blushed and tried to approach Yoshinobu, but…
“Princess Louise, I think you’re getting a bit too close. Unwarranted suspicions could tarnish your reputation.”
“Ara, Sarina, just a little wouldn’t hurt, right? Besides, if my reputation did get tarnished, he can take responsibility for it.”
“What are you saying, Princess? I don’t think a commoner like Yoshinobu could take responsibility. Please take care of yourself more.”
Sarina and Louise exchanged smiles while glaring at each other.
