I was looking at my system with excitement, my plan was working! hundreds of people were getting infected with my system and a portion of their Mana was being converted to Mental stress for me to use! And with the exponential growth of system-afflicted people, I would soon not even need to worry about Mental stress!
In fact, I'll become so powerful with all of this, that I might be able to act as a god overlooking the world. Now my only limit would be my imagination! ...and the laws of the universe, but whatever.
Now, what to do, what to do... I could make a new floor for my dungeon, but the mind-runes inside the system pretty much make it non-important; Though I would need to find something to keep that random guy walking around from getting to my Core.
I should probably make something for Lethe though... I can't help but feel that she's getting bored from always drawing; I don't blame her, I would get bored too. But what could I make that would be entertaining enough for her to do? I can't really just make a new dungeon for her to control and create...
Wait... I can make a dungeon-like structure for her! All I would need to do is find out if mind-runes work on her to get her the needed information and also get information from her.
"Hey, Lethe, can I try something real quick with you?"
Lethe looked up from her paper, "Oh, uh, y-yeah! G-Go for it!"
I quickly made a simple mind-rune to put inside her head the information that a bright orange ball was now on the floor in front of her; I then activated it and looked back at Lethe, hopefully, it will work.
I saw as Lethe rapidly blinked, her tail moving in slow movement; "Woah... t-that's inc-incredible! It's... so b-bright a-and b-beautiful..." She looked to be in some sort of trance, looking at something I couldn't see.
Quickly arriving at the conclusion that I had put too much power into the rune, I lowered its effect until Lethe didn't look to be a whole other person.
"W-What happened in there?" she asked, clearly uneasy from her previous obsession with a normal-looking ball.
I quickly went to reassure her, "Don't worry, I was just checking if mind-runes worked with you. And now I know just how much strength I need to not overwhelm you."
"O-Okay!"
"Alright then, I'm going back to work; An- huh, what are you drawing there?"
"A-Ah, w-well... I'm d-drawing a c-castle right there, I-I'm also making all of t-the hallways t-too! I hope to m-make them w-with some tiny bricks at s-some point if you'd give me some..."
I quickly gave her a few hundred of the bricks she asked for and made them in such a way that they would connect together like magnets if put close by with the intention of connecting them. Hopefully, she would soon get something way better than a few tiny bricks...
I put myself to work then, and started my new project by choosing a spot next to my core and raising another pedestal, upon which I created a hollow sphere of orange crystal; I then colored the inside of the sphere black and used my space affinity to stretch the space inside it to ginormous proportions. I could probably fit the whole of Canada in there and still have some space left over.
[MENTAL STRESS: 96/200 -> 318/378]
Now, onto the important part of this grand space; I copied the orange crystal ball inside itself but with extremely less space expansion this time, only around the size of a large room. I then made both of the balls unbreakable and made sure they couldn't move from where they were.
Once I was done with that, I started work on the real functionality of the place. I started by making the simple but comfortable bed in the middle of the inner-sphere, I then added runes into the bed to make those lying in it not feel anything that their body is telling them to feel; Once that was done, I continued by adding new runes with the purpose of inserting information about the entire area in the main sphere into the head of the one lying in the bed.
After that, I put in Living Runes to listen to the thought-orders of the person in the bed and interpret them into actions; The actions being to create new materials, to modify space in certain areas, and a way to manipulate mana easily. The result was a simple recreation of a dungeon core that anyone could control easily because of my mind runes.
Hopefully, Lethe will like this...
