Chapter 97: Chapter 97: Korra’s Back
[3rd POV]
Time had flickered on by since they had arrived in the Southern Air Temple, and since Gwen had found Ikki. Nearly an entire month, a month of living quietly and peacefully, a month of Gwen continuously trying to unlock the part within her that was locked away, a month of the girls just...enjoying life.
During this next month, Gwen had (Besides trying to unlock whatever it was that was locked away) been living peacefully in the Southern Air Temple with the girls and Tenzin and his family. The experience was...enjoyable, as they simply lived comfortably with little action, just...peace and quiet.
Gwen during this month, ended up making over a thousand new shadow clones, all given the single mission to wipe out crime groups, and criminals in general. They were working constantly to do so. And thanks to them spreading around the world, the quests had been rapidly completing.
The wipe out criminals around the world quest had been completing another 250 times. While the wipe out crime rings around the world had been completed another 100 times. With those completions, she had a massive 1,160 NL tickets, which would be over 100 TL tickets, not that Gwen would use all of them for TL tickets.
She ended up completing a few other quests during this time as well.
[Meditate for 100 Hours - 5 NL Tickets
[Meditate for 250 Hours - 10 NL Tickets]
[Spend 1 month at the Southern Air Temple, and enjoy life - 1 NL Ticket]
[Teach your girlfriends how to bend other areas of their bending styles (lightning, blood, etc) - 10 NL Tickets]
[Wipe out every crime group in the Water Tribes - 10 NL Tickets]
During this time, her clones ended up running into dark spirits, and some of them had even traveled into the spirit world for a short while, completing a few more quests. This also ended up getting her to over 125 completed quests in total.
[Defeat 10 Dark Spirits - 2 NL Tickets]
[Defeat 25 Dark Spirits - 5 NL Tickets]
[Defeat 50 Dark Spirits - 7 NL Tickets]
[Defeat 100 Dark Spirits - 10 NL Tickets]
[Complete 125 Quests - 125 NL Tickets]
This left her with a total 1,345 NL tickets in total, a ton, but she was still waiting until the next world to use them.
Besides completing a ton of quests and getting a ton of new tickets, Gwen had trained the girls in their individual bending styles, helping them learn the other techniques and areas. M'gann could bend blood, Fire was able to generate lightning, and Raven had learnt to generate cyclones and even suck the air from others (the last of which was tested on Gwen alone, as it didn't harm her). Their training in aura had of course continued, but it was still somewhat slow going.
At the moment they were all in the Eastern Air Temple, after Tenzin decided it was finally time to continue the journey.
They were currently in a square where Bumi and Kya were arguing about whether or not Bumi beat an earthbender at a rock throwing contest. While Ikki and Meelo were doing homework as their mother watched over them.
Gwen and the girls on the otherhand, were all quietly munching on their lunch. Only to stop when Tenzin walked in alongside Jinora.
"All right, who's ready for an exciting tour of the Eastern Air Temple? We've got a lot to see today, including ancient statues, ancient gardens, and the meditation hall used by ancient airbenders" Tenzin said enthusiastically.
"Yay. Old things" Ikki said with a bored deadpan.
Gwen however, was focused on a door as a smile formed on her face, as Korra walked in. It had been over a month since she last saw the girl, and she could tell that she had changed a good bit, probably due to her undergoing her spiritual adventure, and finding out the truth of who the Avatar truly is.
"Korra?" Tenzin said in surprise, while the rest yelled "Korra!"
"Korra's back!" Ikki said with a smile as she, Jinora, and Meelo all moved to hug the girl.
"What're you doing here?" Pema asked.
"And how did you know where to find us?" Kya asked, as as far as she knew, no one should know they were there.
"Tenzin's itinerary. We went over it like a hundred times before we left Republic City" Korra replied with a small smile, as she noticed Gwen out of the corner of her eye.
"See, this is why schedules are important" Tenzin said to his siblings.
"It's so great to see you all again" Korra said with a genuine smile on her face.
"It's great to see you too, but why aren't you training at the South Pole?" Tenzin asked, as he didn't know of the civil war or anything that was going on in the outside world. Only Gwen knew of all of it.
"Wait, you don't know about the Civil War?" Korra asked in surprise.
"What?! No, we've been out of touch with the outside world since we started our vacation" Tenzin replied in shock.
"Tenzin's idea. What happened?" Bumi cut in, blaming Tenzin...again.
"So much. I don't know where to start" Korra replied, as...a lot really did happen in the past month, far more than even with Amon.
"Just tell us everything!" Tenzin said, wanting to know all of what happened.
"Everything? Okay" Korra said before taking in a deep breath.
"I opened a spirit portal at the South Pole, but then Unalaq turned out to be a bad guy and wanted to take control of the South, so I sorta started a Civil War, but when I went to find some help, I was attacked by my cousins then by a giant, dark spirit, and then I forgot who I was, and then I met the first Avatar, and then I realized I shouldn't have opened the portal in the first place, and now I need to close it again!" Korra said all in one breath, while the group just looked at her in shock.
Except Tenzin, Gwen, and her girlfriends of course. They all just listened, with Gwen trying not to bust out laughing at the faces of everyone else in the group.
"I knew this would happen!" Tenzin said, causing the rest to look at him with deadpans.

Later in the day, after Tenzin had a talk with Korra about the spirit world and Vaatu, the dark spirit who was basically the exact opposite of Raava, the group was in a meditation circle, all meditating as a bell dinged, a sort of Airbender technique for meditation.
"You know this won't work, right?" Gwen said with a deadpan as she watched everyone else meditate.
"It won't if you keep talking" Tenzin cut her off, as he huffed and refocused on meditating.
Korra soon spoke a few seconds later as her eyes cracked open "Are you in the spirit world?" She asked Tenzin who sighed and got to his feet.
"I would be if Meelo was ringing the bell at the appropriate intervals"
"Aw, did I do it wrong?" Meelo asked looking saddened.
"Let's try something else" Tenzin said with a small huff before walking off.
"I thought your bell ringing was just fine" Korra said to Meelo who beamed "Thanks!"

After the next attempt had failed, with there being too much incense, Gwen had noticed Jinora staring at the cute spirits that were fluttering around.
Seeing no one else around, she walked up to the girl "You can see them too, can't you? Quite the cute things, aren't they?" Gwen said, causing Jinora's eyes to widen.
"Yo-You can see them?"
"Mmhmm. Furry-foot, a good name for the little guy" Gwen said with an amused smirk, while Jinora looked embarrassed.
"It's weird, isn't it?"
"Nope, it's a gift, Jinora. And plus, who wants to be normal? Being weird is the best!" Gwen said with a grin, causing Jinora to giggle.
"D-Do you think I should tell them?" Jinora asked, causing Gwen to hum.
"I think your friends are trying to show you where we need to go. So yeah, I think so. But how about we both tell them? I tell them I can see them, and you do the same. Would that make you more comfortable with it?" Gwen asked, causing Jinora to nod with a smile.
"Well then, let's go kid. Preferably before your dad blows a socket" Gwen said with a grin, causing Jinora to giggle as the two walked after the group.

The next attempt was done with just Tenzin and Korra, and once more, was a complete failure.
Standing next to Jinora, Gwen gave the girl a nod, as Tenzin finished revealing that he had never actually gotten into the spirit world, something none of the group knew.
"I think we can help you with that, Korra" Gwen said with a smile, placing a hand on Jinora's left shoulder.
"The two of you? You're too young to be knowledgeable in spiritual matters" Tenzin said, causing Gwen to chuckle.
"Why don't you all come out? They won't harm any of you" Gwen said as cute spirits began to glow into the real world, showing the rest of the group their existence. The group gasped at the sight of them.
"How did you do that?" Tenzin whispered in surprise.
"Bunnies!" Meelo said looking at the bunny like creatures.
"Actually they're Dragonfly-Bunny Spirits. And I think they know where Korra needs to go to get into the spirit world" Jinora said, causing them to all look at her.
"Seems we know more than you, huh Tenzin?" Gwen said with a teasing smirk, as the man just huffed but smiled slightly.
"It would seem so" Tenzin muttered, as the group followed the spirits when they began to fly out of the room.
"How long have you been able to do this?" Tenzin asked Jinora, who looked to her dad.
"I don't know. I guess I've always kind of had a connection with spirits" Jinora said, as one that sort of looked like it had a mustache, flew and landed on Bumi's shoulder.
"And what about you?" Korra asked Gwen, who shrugged.
"I've always seen them, just never thought it was important enough to mention" Gwen replied, as it was technically true that she could always see them, it's just that most of the time, there were none in the area.
"And are they here to help?" Korra asked, remembering what Jinora said.
"I think they want you to go down there" Jinora said pointing as the spirits floated down towards the forest that was below the temple.
"I don't know. The spiritual energy is histortically strongest near the temple" Tenzin doubted.
"No offense, but I'm guessing the spirits have actually been to the spirit world, so I'm gonna follow them" Korra said with a deadpan, as it was the truth.
"If we need to go to the Tenzin world, we'll call you" Bumi added with a smug grin.
Looking to the group, Gwen smirked before speaking.
"So, are we going to follow them or just stand here?"

That's the end of the chapter!
She's got a ton of tickets, and completed some quests during this time skip. It's also the beginning of the end of this volume/world. With the LOK journey being over within the next 5-7 chapters or so. Next chapter will be shorter most likely.
She'll be using all those tickets once she gets to the next world.
Anyways, have a good day!
