Chapter 1: the end of spiderman

He didn't know what to do now. They had all gone, abandoned him, even though he knew no one had ever truly loved him. Still, he had tried.

"I tried. Why does this always happen to me?" he muttered silently. He was Peter Parker, but he was also Spider-Man. He stood at the edge of a skyscraper over fifty stories high, looking down. The rain fell from the dark night sky, but he didn't care.

His suit was in a terrible state from his last battle with his greatest enemy—someone who was once his friend, or so he had tried to convince himself.

The last person in his family had now died, and he blamed himself. The same thoughts kept circling in his head: if he had never put on the suit, they would all still be alive. His life wouldn't have turned out this way. Now, he had nothing left.

His body was battered, bruised, and in pain.

But his physical pain couldn't compare to the pain in his heart. Since the day he lost his uncle, he had tried to do the right thing because doing the wrong thing had cost his uncle his life. But in the past 12 years, all he had done was the right thing.

And yet, all the people close to him had abandoned him, and now they were all gone. His life was empty and hollow now. He had nothing left.

The police wanted to arrest him just for trying to save the city, and Otto had made everything worse.

Jameson wanted to destroy him and blamed him for everything that seemed to go wrong. S.H.I.E.L.D. wanted to imprison him because he was a threat to New York, thanks to Maria Hill.

The women who had once vowed to stay with him had abandoned him.

He still remembered when Felicia Hardy, known as Black Cat, left him, saying she only loved the mask and the thrill of excitement, not Peter Parker. He later discovered that she had been in a relationship with Daredevil the entire time they were together.

He found out when he saw them kissing on a rooftop in New York, and to make matters worse, she had also been involved with Logan.

Or the time Mary Jane Watson left him at the altar to travel and film a movie.

Let's not forget Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, who left him after she lost her memories due to Hydra and called herself Nancy.

When she regained her memories, he found himself discarded like trash. She claimed she never loved him—he wasn't even her type—and started a relationship with Captain America.

Of course, he couldn't forget to mention these women without bringing up Carol.

She had started with him, eventually becoming his fiancée, only to leave him for a trip across space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, not even saying goodbye.

He waited for years, keeping the ring on, only for her to return and find that she had forgotten about him and had been with others during her time away from Earth. Upon her return, she dated Rhodey.

Before becoming his fiancée, she had been a drunk, addicted to alcohol, and he had helped her through that phase.

In the end, he discovered that she had been jealous of him because he was Spider-Man. If she had known his life had been hell since getting his powers, she wouldn't have been.

But what about the worst of them? He could never forget Gwen Stacy, who had betrayed him with his worst enemy.

She had cheated on him with Norman Osborn, and even became pregnant with his children, who later tried to kill him. Even though she knew Norman was the Green Goblin.

It's almost laughable because, in the end, she died at his hands when he threw her off a bridge, leaving her a bloody stain.

He blamed himself for years until the Goblin confessed everything to him. He didn't believe it at first, but after some research, he discovered the truth. It crushed him, just like everything else, despite his attempts to move on.

And there were many other women and betrayals from people he once called friends—so many that he became used to it. But this time, it was the last straw.

He had been labeled a villain, mocked by every hero—the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the street-level heroes. But he wasn't.

He had only begged for someone to listen to him, and no matter how much he told them that Otto had taken over his body, they didn't believe him and attacked him.

Why did everyone hate him for trying to use his powers for the right reasons? Why was he always persecuted? Why was everything in his life so difficult

and why did he have to deal with things that no normal person his age should have to face? From the age of fourteen, he had been trying to save people at the expense of himself, but why did this always happen to him?

He didn't have any answers. He didn't even know what to do next.

His home was gone, and his only family, Aunt May, had been killed by one of his enemies after his identity was revealed to the world.

He had lost something else, too, even if only he knew about it—the woman he loved, even though he could never be with her.

He never confessed his feelings to her, but he loved her with all his heart, and he loved her children, even though they weren't his.

Yes, it was Susan Storm, the wife of Reed Richards, who barely noticed her or their children.

What really destroyed him was the look she gave him—the look of disgust and hatred she and the kids gave him as they threw him out.

That night, he lost the last things that mattered in his life, and now he had nothing left.

All of this was because of Doctor Octopus, who had taken over his body and called himself the Superior Spider-Man.

He had destroyed his life with all his actions. People had hated him before, but now they were ready to die just to see him die as well.

What about the Spider family? It would have made sense for them to notice the strange behavior Otto exhibited in his body, but like everyone else, they didn't care.

From Julia, who he was sure knew about it because she was responsible for the Web of Life, of which he was the center, and knew the future of all spiders, to Jessica Drew, the Spider-Woman, who was supposed to be the love of his life but changed after the Phoenix event and started dating Hawkeye.

They had been together before the Phoenix incident, but Hawkeye fed everyone some nonsense about saving the day while running from the fight.

To this day, Peter didn't understand how everyone believed him—a guy whose only weapons were a bow and arrow—had faced a cosmic entity like the Phoenix.

What about his student, Miles? He seemed happy with what was happening, even calling himself Spider-Man.

He was the first to attack Peter and revealed his identity to everyone.

In the end, Peter managed to get his body back, but not before Otto destroyed what was left of his life and S.H.I.E.L.D. revealed his identity to the world.

All the women he had once loved and the other heroes attacked him. He had been utterly shattered.

Even though he held back his punches and lessened his strength to avoid hurting anyone, he barely escaped by luck.

But Parker's luck still had something special in store for him, with the bad luck he had always carried.

Peter sighed, his head hanging low as the rain poured from the sky. "What's the point in continuing?" Peter asked himself.

"Do I have anything left worth fighting for? Is there anything worth... living for? I'm tired of their betrayals, their laughter at my expense." He searched deep within himself for an answer. But he found nothing.

He was tired. He was tired of fighting all the time and never being appreciated.

He had suffered and sacrificed so much in his life, and for what? Only to have everything taken away from him.

He lost his daughter, Mayday. His aunt had died five times, and this was the sixth. He himself had died three times, and the losses just kept piling up.

He was tired of it all. Otto had destroyed the last things that made him want to bear the responsibility of his power.

He just wanted it all to end—the pain, the suffering, the people around him suffering and dying. So, in his moment of greatest weakness, he chose to end it, to stop it all.

Peter took a step forward and began to fall into the darkness. In that moment, he felt nothing but the wind hitting his masked face. He waited for the end... then he saw the light.

To be continued
