Chapter 279: fighting the knights part 1

Silva pushed the door open and walked in. Immediately, the people seated inside got up and bowed to him. There were about twenty people here, men and women of all different races.

A chair was set up for Silva, facing the people that were there. He walked in and took a seat, Lily standing behind him, a little bit to the side.

When he was fully settled, he signaled them to all sit down with his hand. They sat down, their eyes all pinned on Silva.

Silva leaned forward, clasped his fists together, and rested his head on them.

"Thank you all for being here today. I understand you have busy schedules, especially in your line of work. You have to tend to flowers, and they could die if you are not there.

So I'll get right to the point and try to get this over with as fast as possible. We need a certain amount of flowers—a lot of them.

And we will be needing them in a few days. The exact date will be communicated to all of you. I know it's going to be a very large order, but I'm hoping you can fulfill this.

You'll all be compensated properly for your help in this," Silva said.

After he finished speaking, no one else spoke, so Lily stepped in.

"If you will not be able to participate in getting the flowers, inform us now, and we will exempt you from it," Lily said, but no one responded.

"Then this will go faster than expected. Thank you all for your time. His majesty will have to leave now. The rest of the details will be given to you at a later date," Lily said.

Silva got up, and all the florists as well. They bowed to him.

When Silva left the hall, he let out an exhausted sigh. Lily placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Your day has only begun, and this is just the first part of your day. Before we head back to the marriage preparations, we will have to go and meet Drake at the barracks.

The soldiers have had some days to get accustomed to the guns they were given, and so they want to show you how far they have come," Lily explained.

"Hmm, I guess this is fine. At least this one has more action than this meeting," Silva said and headed for the carriage. The coachman immediately opened the door and let Silva in.

Lily sighed. Silva was addicted to anything that had combat in it. She walked into the carriage and sat down. The coachman immediately began their journey, heading for the outside of the city to the location of the main barracks.

The journey was going to be much longer, and so the coachman had to ride even faster to make it in good time.

"Why the hell are we even using a carriage? I could get there in an instant," Silva said.

"Exactly. I don't want you flying there like some ruffian. You are a king, and this is a kingly visit, so you'll have to act the part," Lily said.

The carriage made it to the barracks. Immediately Silva and Lily stepped down, a knight greeted them.

"Your majesty, Lady Lily, Sir Drake is at the training yard. Please follow me this way." He led them into the barracks and right to the yard where the gun practice was happening.

When Silva arrived, everyone stopped whatever they were doing. Drake came to meet him.

"Master, it's nice to see you," Drake said.

"Same. Now tell me about what they want to show me," Silva said.

"Well, they want to showcase how competent they have become with their guns," Drake said.

"And how will they do that?" Silva asked.

"By shooting at targets," Drake replied.

"That's boring. I'm changing it up," Silva said.

"Silva, you are a king here. Don't do anything careless," Lily quickly warned him.

"Don't worry so much, Lily. I'm pretty sure they'll respect me even more after what I'm about to do," Silva said and gave an assuring smile.

He walked into the midst of the training yard and spoke.

"Alright, I heard you all have been practicing for a while now. Well, I'll give you all an opportunity to take me down.

But you aren't limited to your guns alone. You can also use abilities unique to your race or yourself. Your only aim is to hit me.

And since I gave you the freedom to hit me, then I'll have to match that as well and not hold back at all. So I'll be fighting back seriously.

Whoever manages to hit me will serve by my side, and I'll personally train that person to the best of my abilities.

And now, if there are no questions, come at me with all you have," Silva said and spread his arms wide for them to attack.

Lily let out a frustrated sigh when she saw this. She knew that Silva was just looking for a way to have fun right now.

But what he was doing still met the goal of why they were here, and that was to test the guns.

The knights leaped on the opportunity immediately Silva offered it. They began firing their guns without holding back.

The bullets traveled at a crazy speed toward Silva, but at the last moment, he vanished. A loud sonic boom resounded in the air, and when they all looked up, they saw him coming from above.

He punched the ground and caused a massive explosion that threw the knights in all directions. Silva looked up with a smile. He pushed himself off the ground, his speed blasting a crater into the ground.

He headed for one of the knights. The knight was scared at first, but then he got a grip on himself, quickly pointed his gun, and fired.

But Silva maneuvered midair and dodged the bullet. He planted his feet into the ground, leaped forward again, and grabbed the knight before chucking him at other knights. Continue your saga on empire

The knight crashed into about four others and took them down.
