Chapter 79: The Hero Debuts

Land of Fire. Tanzaku Quarters.

Strolling along the quaint streets of the bustling town, a young man, dressed in a dark style that was drastically different from the other town folks, drew the attention of the masses.

Perpetually kissed by the wind, his slanted side-swept hair hung over his eyes, harboring an ocean of wisdom as it observed the world with a blend of curiosity and a touch of arrogance.

A long-sleeved, form-fitting black shirt molds itself to his torso, its fabric seemingly imbued with a hint of shadow, betraying a faint sheen when touched by the glares of sunlight.

Accompanying the shirt, a pair of black trousers envelops his legs, their sleek texture promising ease of movement and agility.

Completing the ensemble was a jet-black jacket resting lightly upon his shoulders, its collar raised, as if to shield its owner from prying eyes.

If someone had watched the original iconic marvel hero films or the newer one with all three iconic figures, they would perhaps recognize this young man to be the actor… Tobey Maguire, known for his endearing portrayal of the iconic Peter Parker!

Of course, the Tobey here certainly had nothing to do with its counterpart in a distant universe. Instead, he was obviously a unique individual with his own... cursed personality.

And right now, Tobey was uncontrollably swept away by a wave of accursed dance moves.

Well, dancing was... Tobey's unique way of channeling his inner groove, and his current performance was known far and wide as...

The 'Bully Maguire dance'.

Driving that funky soul, Tobey swung through the streets with an unmatched exuberance, his movements equal parts awkwardness and understated elegance.

His limbs flail and sway in a rhythmic chaos, his body intermittently sliding across the ground, seemingly defying the laws of conventional motion.

His fingers snaps captured the attention of those nearby, and passersby can't help but pause in their tracks, their gazes fixed upon this unexpected performance, their reactions ranging from bewilderment to amusement...

"Grandma, grandma, is that the famous ninja?"

An elderly woman, clutching her cane, squinted her eyes before leaning towards a young boy beside her. "He doesn't look like the ninjas grandma remembers, but he's got some fancy footwork, I'll give him that! Hey- watch it!"

"Sorry, sorry, baba!" A man, with sweat glistening on his brow, stumbled past the old lady with two baskets hoisted on his shoulder, hollering out, "Make way! Make way! Urgent delivery on the way!"

Clap! Hearing the attention-drawing clap, the passing delivery man skids to a halt, his eyes widening in disbelief when he saw Tobey showcase his 'Spider-Hip Shimmy', rhythmically thrusting his hip towards him...

"I-I don't swing that way!"

Facing the escaping delivery man, Tobey still maintained a nonchalant smile, his hands performing the 'Web Spinner Gesture', twirling around each other as if trying to reel the man back.

Meanwhile, a group of nearby beauties peeked through their fingers at the scene unfolding before them, blushes dancing upon their cheeks.

When Tobey aimed his finger guns at them, giggles erupted from their lips as they exchanged animated comments.

"Ladies, this guy is more extreme than the hero of that infamous book!"

"Ne, ne... do you mean that book about paradise?"

"Hey, maybe we can recommend that guy to the director if they ever make a film adaptation..."

It seems Tobey may get a chance to perform in a role he is all too experienced with... but that is all for the future.

The carefree Tobey now resolutely committed to his performance, and the ladies' banter were ignored by him after he shot them a charming pew pew.

Thus, the impromptu dance routine partied on.

The once-ordinary streets become a stage, and the onlookers transform into an impromptu audience, some clapping and cheering, while others denounce him for being a pervert.

Regardless, with each twist and turn, Tobey's infectious enthusiasm spreads like wildfire, unwittingly turning some bewildered looks into genuine smiles.

This was the charm of Tobey, who graced the ninja world with its first unique dose of a superhero's indomitable spirit!

It's a moment where the extraordinary meets the ordinary, reminding us all that even the most unconventional acts can bring joy and laughter to the hearts of those lucky enough to witness them.

Yet, in the midst of Tobey's lively dance, a fortuitous encounter altered the course of his whimsical performance.

The swaying of his hips came to an abrupt halt as he bumped into a burly figure, a scarred visage cutting through the ordinary crowd that consciously kept their distance.

The scar-faced man towered over Tobey, his gaze piercing the twerp that bumped into him. "Are you blind?"

Facing the unfriendly growl, Tobey's carefree expression twisted into a smirk. "Oh, sorry about that."

A flick of his hair accompanied the apology. Obviously, Tobey was showing no nervousness nor genuine remorse.

Having just lost all his money, the scar-faced man's anger was already simmering just below the surface. Now, facing this provocative death seeker, how can he hold back?

One of his hands clamped onto Tobey's head like a claw and he leaned in, snarling in a voice laced with a dangerous edge. "You think you can disrespect me, little man?"

Facing the man's aggressive response, Tobey didn't cower. He met the scar-faced man's gaze defiantly, "I miss the part where that's my problem."

The scarred faced twisted into an ugly expression. A low, growling laugh leaked from the man's lips.

The man's grip, as strong as iron, closed tightly around Tobey's head, slowly tightening and seeking to assert dominance.

Unfazed by the man's growing aggression, Tobey's playful eyes never left him, retorting in a calm voice. "If you push me, I'm gonna have to put some dirt in your eye."

It was a verbal jab, a lighthearted yet pointed warning of his ability to defend himself.

A flicker of ferocity crossed the scar-faced man's countenance, his anger reaching its boiling point. "Oh yeah? Think you're a tough guy?"

At his words, his grip tightened with the intention to crush Tobey's skull! The onlookers screamed, already imagining the unlucky fella's head splattering like a watermelon!

Yet, Tobey swiftly reacted, his fingers digging into the man's grip, completely warding off the pressure.

Using his own strength, Tobey then expertly pried open the man's fingers, freeing himself from the menacing grip!

Seizing the opportunity, in a stunning display of agility and finesse, Tobey executed his sliding dance move, slickly gliding across the ground and out of the man's reaches.

He cast a provocative glance over his shoulder, a playful challenge to his pursuer, before darting into an adjacent alley, his nimble form disappearing into the shadows.

It was clear his opponent was a tricky character to deal with. Yet, the scar-faced man, consumed by his rage, wasted no time in thinking over this fact. "I'm going to kill you, little twerp!"

From his back, he unsheathed a pair of blades, still stained with residues of of dried blood. The enraged man then menacingly surged forward in hot pursuit, driven by his desire to settle the score.

The hunt begins.
