[ Chapter V (5): "HI, HEADMASTER DUMBLEDORE" ]

[ JUNE 17, 1989 ] [ WIZARDRY WORLD, HOGWARTS GROUNDS ]
Felix looked smug in having a one-sided debate with the Headmaster that he most hated throughout history, this hate growing until he became bitter. This man after all ruined his plans in practicing spells at night.
His dream of learning how to brew potions, learn advanced spells, and transfigurations so that he can live comfortably after graduation being ruined. Which was later replaced by seminars by Flitwick, and McGonagall, both of which had more nagging than teaching.
But it does have some benefits in it, other than the memorization of the school's rules. It also taught Felix to be discreet, or at the very least, strike first.
[ "You impodent child-!" ]
[ "Silencio!" ]
Due to this man sending him to detention, and ruining his night stroll around Hogwarts for the subsequent years of his study. Felix have became cautious, yet, still a Gryffindor at heart, he is still mischievous — thus one of the reasons why he casted the Silencing Charm on the portrait of the Headmaster.
[ "Here they go again." ]
[ "I can't believe this, Phineas has feud with a child. FOR 8 YEARS!" ]
[ "And still continuing his losing streak, apparently." ]
[ "Shh. Don't talk out loud, just whisper." ]
[ "Alright, alright. I'll shut up, zipped, you see?!" ]
The portrait of Headmaster Black, who's standing behind an old office reminiscent of baroque style of painting couldn't help but protest in his heart, in hearing his friends make fun of him, again.
Him not being able to quiet them down personally due to his mouth being sealed, with voice not coming out of it, even though he is just a painting. So the best he could do was go at their paintings personally and slap their backs a couple of times.
The paintings which varies in appearances, art style, and decorations could be seen having one thing in common. To those who have a person in it, and that they are all smirking at the misfortune of the high and mighty Phineas Nigellus Black, Lord of House Black.
Stop laughing!
Don't be mistaken, they are his friends. It's just that, they much rather see his feud with Felix, a student, grow and grow throughout the years. With the former being on the losing side, each time, than to support him and his quick to anger temper.
[ "Fawkes I'm back did you miss me-!" ]
[ "Oh..." ]
[ "..." ]
Looking behind him, at the chimney with it's flames that glowed green on the reflection of one of the shiny surfaces of the portrait's frame. Felix noticed a weird old man, in white robes, wearing a tassel hat.
Alchemy items, and books could be seen on either side of his hands — with packs and packs of magical candies mixed within. Felix's eyes went wide and could only stare at the man, his heart stopping for what felt like hours.
[ "Dumbledore! Punish this child, he dares do this to me-!" ]
The mouth of the rambling portrait which was once sealed via the Silencing Charm, lost it due to the caster losing focus. But with Felix pointing his finger at him again, his mouth was once again sealed, abruptly stopping him mid-sentence.
As the latter didn't bother in giving the man any faces in front of the current Headmaster of Hogwarts, and being the most powerful at the moment. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, the greatest Wizard of the 20th century.
Standing in front of him. The latter's blue-eyes shining bright under the glasses of his, the Headmaster looked carefully at the alumni of his who have just done wandless, and chantless magic at the young age of 19 — just a year out of Hogwarts without breaking any sweat, a difficult thing that most adults couldn't even do.
Clearly impressed, the old Headmaster smiled at him. But that isn't because of the mischievous Felix did, contrary to what the latter expected.
I'm gonna lose this interview, I'm screwed.
[ "..." ]
[ "Hi, Headmaster Dumbledore." ]
[ "This... I can perfectly explain all of this." ]
Pointing at the portrait of the previous Headmaster, who has his mouth shut, arms in air, angry. That is a pretty hard thing to do, especially when the other Headmasters and Headmistresses could be seen snickering, trying to hold onto their amusement.
In one look at the situation, Dumbledore realized what was happening. Black and Felix is on it again, like the countless times it had happened when the man in front of him was just a student — from year 1 until he graduated.
Sighting at himself he could only smile warmly at the young boy, cancelling the charm he did on the face of the previous Headmaster. Which in response made the latter have the ability to speak again.
[ "Yes!" ]
[ "Finally, Dumbledore you should have seen what the kid did to me." ]
[ "He actually dare- wait, what are you doing? Dumbledor-!" ]
Not caring about the memories please, Dumbledore continued to point his hand at the painting, turning it around, the voice of the latter being inaudible to anyone inside the room.
Which made Felix, Dumbledore, Fawkes, and the portraits inside the room to be comfortable. With Dumbledore levitating the new hauls he just brought from Diagon Alley into the table of his.
Attention of his slightly noticing the Monster Card clutched around his close friend's beak, with the aura around the said bird to be much happier than before. Looking at the card, made him slightly envious.
[ "Oh..." ]
Wanting to look at it further, and confirm his suspicion, made him try reaching out to Fawkes, the Phoenix. But to no avail, as the said bird turned around in response. The bird knowing the habits of Dumbledore, surely, he wouldn't give the card back to it — especially how this one is an extremely rare card, and one based on the legendary Phoenix.
[ "Headmaster?" ]
[ "I'm not in trouble, am I?" ]
[ "Because of that." ]
Turning around, Dumbledore could see Felix rubbing his hands in guilt. The boy genuinely felt guilty, not because of what he did, but because he was caught red handed by someone — and that someone being the Headmaster itself, the one who'll interview him.
His dreams of being the Alchemy Professor of Hogwarts flying farther and farther away in thinking about it. Thankfully Dumbledore didn't seem to mind, as he merely shook his head in response, motioning for him to take a seat. In which he did with slightly shaky steps.
[ "Don't worry Mr. Harp, I don't mind at all." ]
[ "No foul in you and Headmaster Black reminiscing. And I'm sure he doesn't mind either." ]
No, I'm sure he does mind. Headmaster.
Clapping his hand, Dumbledore levitated onto his hand a clipboard that contains the information relating to Felix Harp — the one applying for the vacant position of Alchemy Professor: [ "Now, shall we start the interview." ]
