Stella Rogers: Reincarnated as Female Captain America

Chapter 20: The Pedestrian is a Doctor

THIRD POV—

Madame Hydra was pacing around her room. Suddenly, a guard opened the door and walked towards her. Standing near her, he bowed. He said, "Hail HYDRA! Madame Hydra, I have a very bad news—"

She interrupted him by raising her hand. She said, "Brock is dead, isn't he?"

The guard nodded frantically. He whispered, "Yes, Mam. But there is also one more thing."

Frowning, she motioned him to say whatever thing he wanted to say. He said, "Sin has defected. She has betrayed HYDRA."

She scoffed, "I knew she would betray us one day. She was never the one who would obey the orders," she looked at the guard, "you can go now." Bowing his head again, the guard left Madame Hydra's room.

Closing her eyes, she started to analyse the events in her mind, hoping that she would connect the dots.

STELLA'S POV—

Reaching the hospital's get, we entered into it. Every person present in the hospital was shocked from the scene in front of them. They thought that their eyes were betraying them, showing them an illusion. But what they were seeing was the truth. Infront of them, a woman was carrying a grown-up man like a sack of potatoes. I believe you know about whom they talking about.

I asked, "Aren't you a bit ashamed? People are looking at you with disgusting eyes. They are probably thinking that you are a disgusting piece of shit, who is exploiting me."

"Do you think that I care about what those buffoons think? I am above them."

Sarcastically, I said, "Yeah-yeah, you are the crown prince, who's going to become the king, and these are your subjects."

He scoffed, "Keep your sarcasm to yourself. It's not like you are a princess yourself."

Princess? Like hell, I would like to become a princess. I said, "I am not a princess, and I will never be one. Although, being a princess would be your forte. I think I was wrong. You are not the prince; you are the princess. One with a very bratty attitude and snobby personality."

Angrily, he yelled, "Shut up! Just take me to the reception area."

Sneering at his words, I took him to the receptionist area. Upon spotting us, the receptionist asked, "How may I help you two?"

I could easily tell by her voice that she was feeling awkward seeing us like this.

The man took out a card from his pocket and handed it to the receptionist. Seeing the card, the attitude of the receptionist changed instantly.

Standing up, she said, "Welcome to the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Dr Donald Blake. We were waiting for you to arrive. Sir, pardon me. Just let me call the director. He would very happy to meet you," she turned towards me, "Mrs. Blake, you can put Sir in the wheelchair." Saying that, she rushed to call the director.

"Hey! You are mistaken, I am not wife or something," I pinched him, "say something!"

Rubbing the spot where I pinched, the man, Donald hissed, "Stop pinching me! Look, she's not even here."

"When she comes back, you will tell her that I am not your wife."

"Yeah-yeah, I will tell her. I don't even need a wife like you."

I didn't say anything. I just put him roughly in the wheelchair. He protested, "Can't you be gentle? You are behaving like an unruly man despite the fact that, you are a woman."

Sneering at him, I said, "Fuck you! Just deal with it. Haven't you ever heard the word 'karma?' So, keep quiet."

He didn't say anything and kept quiet. After some time, the receptionist along with a man, probably the director came towards us.

The director said, "Welcome, Dr Blake. I hope your journey was—"

The director wasn't able to complete his sentence as he saw his esteemed Doctor in the wheelchair. Noticing the look on his face, Donald said, "If you are wondering that why I am like this," he pointed towards me, "she's answer. And before, you say anything. Learn one thing, she's not my wife. This woman hit me with her car."

Enraged by his words, the director yelled, "How can you be this irresponsible? This man is one of the finest doctors in our country, and you hit him with your car. I should call the cops. You need to get arrested."

Fuck! He isn't going to call cops, is he? I don't have any ID or anything. If the cops catch me then, they would think that I am some intruder, or spy, who infiltrated their country? I looked at the director, I pondered. Should I kill him? No, what the fuck am I even thinking? I can't just kill this guy. Then, should I escape? But there should be CCTVs around this whole place, and my face must have been captured by them. Argh! What should I do?

To my surprise, Donald came to my rescue. He shook his head and said, "No need to call the cops. She did help me after hitting me with her car."

"But—"

"No buts. What I said is final, just do your job, Director. You don't need to be worried about me," interjected Donald, stopping the director to complete his sentence.

The director didn't say anything. Instead, he requested Donald to follow him to the conference. Nodding his head, he turned towards me. He asked, "Will you be here when I come back?"

Confused, I asked, "Why?"

"You have to drop me at home too."

Obviously. I mean, why would he even ask me to stay, if not for me to drop him. Waving him to go away, I took a seat in a chair and motioned him to go.

Seeing my reaction, he went to attend the conference with them. Finally! I would be free after dropping this guy.
