Stuck as a Villain!

Chapter 31: idiot Arata!

Chapter 31: idiot Arata!

"Are you an idiot, Aru-kun!? Why did you attack President Seth?"

Inside a white furnished room which by the background seemed like a hospital, three figures could be seen, surrounded by curtains to provide the patient and the visitors some private space. f(r)eewebnovel

The said patient was none other than the first-year prodigy, Arata who was currently lying on the hospital bed with his head band-sided and left hand plastered.

With the healing magic, he did recover but since Arata's every bone of his left arm was dislocated and broken, the doctor told him to keep the arm steady for the time being and so for his head which has received severe damage.

Laila was already in the infirmary when Arata was brought by two ward boys. At first, she panicked but soon the doctor reassured her that Arata is in no fatal danger.

The first person Laila thought about informing was Serena. And so she did.

Arata also woke up when Serena arrived led by the pink-haired girl. After the two girls urged him for a long time with tears never leaving their eyes, Arata finally told them the reason why he ended up like this.

And as one could expect Serena's reaction was filled with bewilderment and agitation as well.

Seth Albeck is no regular person to be involved with. Along with political power, that man carries the topmost position a student in this Academy could achieve. Seth has various means to become an obstacle between Arata's path to becoming a hunter.

Laila was fairly perplexed and shocked upon hearing Seth's name in the matter. She never knew Arata would be daring enough to get into a fight with the President.

Hearing the evident annoyance and disbelief in her tone, Arata only sneered and turned his face to the other side. But Serena was not going to take silence as an answer.

"Listen Aru-Kun. I know you are not a guy who would attack someone just on a whim. Please tell me what caused you to suddenly confront the President?"

Arata was by all means a sensible person who despite being a little impulsive, never tries to harm someone irrationally. Although here Arata seemed to be the victim it doesn't change the fact that he initiated the fight.

Laila was not so close to them that she could urge Arata to speak, but she equally wanted to know what happened.

Arata knew Serena was not going to back out until she hears his explanation. So without any way to escape the situation, he finally confessed the reason.

"Sigh* Actually…"

As Arata began to narrate the cause for which he approached Seth, Laila and Serena's expressions shifted quite a lot. They never thought that in order to keep Seth away from both of the girls, Arata would take such a courageous decision.

Arata didn't mention Anabelle's name and skimmed over the trigger which made him angered in the first place. Unlike while facing Seth where Arata spouted Anabelle's name in the heat of the moment, he was a lot collected to not let her name slip up.

He knew that Serena and Laila didn't know anything about the future unlike him so Arata felt it would be better for them to know about Annabelle more naturally.

"....seriously, Aru-kun. You are too much of a muscle-headed to think that everything can be sorted with a fight."

"Y-Yes Arata-kun. It wasn't wise of you to fight the President."

Arata couldn't help but smile seeing how elated both women were that he fought to keep them safe. He already earned his reward for the pain he received.

Little did he know that more than being happy, Serena had something else going inside her mind at the moment.

'I better apologize to him myself… '

[Seth's PaoV:]

'Fuck, I am tired… '

Plopping down on my bed I groaned in weariness. Today, indeed, was really an annoying and taxing day.

Due to the fight with that asshole, I missed my chance to share a meal with my professor.

I might be better at combat but when Arata started to lose, he summoned out his sword forcibly and began slicing like a maniac. freew(e)bnove(l)

I undoubtedly received some damage but thanks to the Soul Energy restrictor, Arata was losing his stamina exponentially, which concluded the match in a short time.

Since I knew it would be a hassle to remain at school for various reasons, I took my leave not so long after and returned to the mansion.

I treated my injuries with a potion but still, the cut marks were vivid on my skin. Well, these were the marks of the Legendary sword no less, so this much was to be expected.

I have thought of getting proper treatment from the doctor tomorrow, but more than that at the moment my mind was filled with thoughts of what happened in the morning.

'The protagonist is already being possessive of the female lead huh…. '

In the novel, Anabelle falls for Arata during one of their ventures in the Temple. Same old, saving damsel in distress type of scenario.

Anabelle then slowly conveys her feelings to the hero and how much she wants to be with him. She is the most detailed character and took a decent amount of chapters to finally get together with the hero.

But now things have changed…

The heroine isn't acting like she should be. The same goes for the protagonist.

Anabelle was flirting with me this afternoon which made me sure that disaster would be following behind her back. And not so long after, my hunch proved to be true.

However, there is clearly something wrong with both of them. Arata shouldn't have to do anything with Anabelle as if now in the story. And the heroine seemed a little too much out of character as well.

I don't what-

**Knock*Knock**

"Excuse my intrusion, young master."

My thought broke abruptly as I pulled my back upon hearing Lara's voice which strangely seemed a little shaky?

However, my mind went numb instantly and the words I was going to speak caught in my throat as I saw Lara's current appearance.

"Please l-let me treat you tonight, young master… "
