Study Days at Hogwarts

Chapter 8: grandfather

  Chapter 8 Grandfather

Two days later, the Anderson family drove to Charles Street, where Albert's grandfather and grandmother lived at No. 21 Charles Street.

The Anderson family will find time to come back every year to visit the two elderly people. During the summer vacation, Albert always comes to live here for a few days.

"Dad, I'm here to see you."

"Albert, come here, let me see!" Luke completely ignored his son, stepped forward and stared at his grandson, "Herb said, it's great that you received a letter from Hogwarts .If there is anything you want to buy, you can tell me..."

"Dad, I've already taken Albert to shopping in Diagon Alley in London." Herb looked at his father helplessly, cleared his throat and said, "I brought you a gift. "

"I'm not a child, what gift do you want." Luke glanced up at his son, took Albert's little hand and said, "Go into the room and tell me what magic you have learned."

"Luke has been excited for several days, like a child." Sansa said to the Herbs, "He never told me about this before, I only found out a few days ago, long time no see Ni Ya, have you missed me?"

"My brother never let me touch his wand, and always guarded me like a thief." Nia immediately reported to her grandmother.

"Herb, watch Tom, don't let him run away." Daisy picked up the package in the car and asked her husband to carry the cat to the cage, lest this guy run away without seeing the cat when he got out of the cage.

"Can Albert really turn magic?" Sansa thought this was very interesting, but she didn't expect her grandson to be a legendary wizard.

"Yes, he can make the wand glow, and he practices secretly in the room every night." Nia took her grandmother's hand and scolded Albert, "He also said, if I took the wand, I would definitely use it The house was blown up.

"Mom, you don't know, that wand is really dangerous, let me tell you..." Herb held the cat cage and followed behind the two, talking about what he had seen in Diagon Alley.

"Albert thinks it's dangerous to try magic indiscriminately." Daisy added that she had read the history of magic, knew some of what happened in the magic world, and still had a little understanding of the magic world.

"Okay Daisy, things are not as bad as you think."

"No, Mom, in fact, even in the wizarding world, children don't let children easily hold wands." Daisy is completely on Albert's side, and their son is very reliable.

"How do you know?" Herb asked curiously.

"If you read all those books, you will know." Daisy looked at her husband reproachfully, "Can you be more careful about Albert, he is our precious son."

"Don't worry, we don't need to worry about Albert since he was a child." Herb knew his son's character very well, and Albert has always made people feel at ease.

"Even so, you should take care of yourself." Daisy walked in with the package, and closed the door behind her.

After being locked up all the way, Tom started running around after being released from the cat cage. Sansa and Daisy went to the kitchen to prepare desserts and black tea, and Luke was listening to his son and grandson talking about Diagon Alley. The missing parts will complement each other.

Of course Luke knew that the wizard's portrait could move, and he also knew something about Dumbledore.

He put the chocolate frog brought by Herb into a large glass bottle and put it in the living room as a decoration.

"I even wrote to Principal Dippet at the time, asking why I didn't receive the invitation letter." After so many years, Luke has been relieved, "Because I don't have any spellcasting ability, which is the so-called squib, I was eleven years old. He was sent away by his family that year and given to an ordinary distant relative to be raised."

"How could they do this?" Herb was very puzzled and very angry. He felt that his father's family had gone too far.

"Squibs are a disgrace to a wizard's family." Luke said softly, "They will try to hide this secret as much as possible, and even pretend that this person does not exist."

"Not sad, not sad." Nia comforted.

"After so many years, I have also let go of these things, and I have completely lost contact with the family over there." Luke hugged Nia on his knees, and said with a smile, "However, it is a bit unexpected for Albert to become a wizard." I expected that when Herb didn't receive the invitation letter, I would have given up completely."

In the chat, Albert showed them new spells, such as the glow spell, the repair spell and the cleansing spell, and the lock spell. These are the four spells he currently masters, thanks to the upgrade to level 2 of wizard blood.

Although I am not proficient at mastering it, it is quite surprising to see the cracked teacup slowly repairing and the tea poured on the table being wiped dry without warning.

"Me too." Nia looked at her grandfather coquettishly, and complained in a low voice, "I want to learn magic too, Albert is too cunning."

Luke looked at his grandson and asked his opinion. He knew that Albert had his own opinions, and he would not make decisions at will on some things.

"You can only do what I say." Albert looked at his sister, and he was actually wondering if Nia had magical talent.

"I will, I promise." Nia nodded like a chicken pecking rice.

"I promised so quickly, forget it, you didn't listen to me at all." Albert said seriously, staring at his sister.

"No way, I was listening carefully." Niya quickly retorted.

"Read it with me first, the fluorescent light is flashing."

"Luminescent flashes." Nia hurriedly followed up, she knew it was a spell.

"Read it a few more times slowly, and you can't read it wrong, otherwise no one will know what will happen." Albert instructed, "I will lend you the wand later, don't poke with the wand, don't point it at people, Don't chant spells indiscriminately, even if you can't use magic, you can't lose your temper."

   "Got it." Nia said impatiently.

"What did I just say?" Albert asked suddenly.

"Don't poke around with your wand, don't..." Nia forgot, she pursed her lips and complained, "I'm not you, how can I remember so many things."

"If you can't remember, I can't give you the wand." Albert said seriously.

"But... well, you're talking once." Nia compromised.

Seeing Albert eating Nia to death, the Anderson family laughed a lot. Children always like to be mischievous, and Nia's situation is similar.

However, Albert has a way of managing her mischief.

After Nia remembered his words, Albert gave her his wand.

Nia took the wand excitedly, and calmed down after being glared at by Albert. She obediently chanted a spell and tried to use the luminous spell, but the spell was unsuccessful.

"Take a deep breath, concentrate, and try again." Albert put his hand on Nia's shoulder and said softly.

The Luminous Charm is one of the easiest spells, and if it doesn't work, it probably means that Nia might not have the talent to be a wizard.

"Luminescent flashes." Nia tried a few more times, but none of them succeeded.

"You are in a hurry, don't worry, the more you are anxious, the easier it is to fail." Albert stroked his sister's hair and turned his head to look at his grandfather.

Luke shook his head at him, and Albert actually knew what it meant.

"I don't have the talent to become a wizard." Nia looked sad with a mournful face.

"I don't know either." Albert comforted, "Maybe, it's just because of your young age."

"I hate it, Albert always likes to lie, I must not have the talent to become a wizard." Nia dropped her wand and ran away.

Albert picked up the wand with a helpless face, looked in the direction where Nia ran away, and prepared to catch up.

  Children are trouble.

"I'm going to find Nia." Luke stood up and walked towards his granddaughter. He understood Nia's current mood.
