Supreme Emperor of Swords

Chapter 45

Chapter 45 The One Saber to Begin Your Journey Technique
“The top ranking disciple in the Southern Academy of purple shirts is known as Lyu Kuang. Many followers from the Southern Academy have gathered by his side, and it is said that he is already secretly in control of one-quarter of its disciples. Other than Lyu Kuang, the other disciples that are the most well-liked and active are Nan Mengzheng, Dong Yi, Wang Xiaoshi, and a few others. They possess a certain level of strength.”

“The Northern Academy of yellow shirts is not united, but there’s a fatso known as Ren Xiaoyao and a teenager called Lin Xin. They have been very active these few days. They are also very strong and have been trying to contact the other disciples of the Northern Academy!”

“As for the Western Academy of red shirts, there’s nothing really special about it. There’s nobody there worth focusing your attention on, and rumor has it that all of their 10 seed candidates are not very strong.”

After finishing reporting in one go, Zhang Tianlun also presented three small booklets to his senior brother. He had recorded the actual state of affairs about the candidates from the other three academies on them.

“Very good, you’ve all done well. I’ll remember your achievements by heart, and when my uncle comes out of seclusion, I’ll make sure both of you will be rewarded,” said Li Lan as he nodded in satisfaction.

Both Ge Yin and Zhang Tianlun were extremely delighted to hear this. “Many thanks for putting in a word for us to Elder Li, senior brother Li,” they said.

One day’s time passed by extremely quickly.

In the blink of an eye, the lanterns had been lit, and the moon was already giving off its alluring light.

Ding Hao returned to his own room and doubled up on his training.

He was already able to concentrate the icy Qi in his abdominal dantian to a nearly perfect liquid form.

The Seed of Qi created by his icy power was also like a crystallized essence, sparkling and pure. There were no impurities in it at all, and it continuously supplied icy Qi to nourish his body.

Moreover, the fiery Qi of fire element in his central dantian had also grown considerably larger.

The Seed of Qi powered by his fiery power had grown more than twice compared to its size last night, and had turned from a faint to deep yellow color. It continuously gave off Qi and was re-constructing his central dantian pool, thereby providing him with an extremely unique power.

The act of cultivating a fiery and icy Qi, which were entirely different, gave Ding Hao a benefit which was hard to describe.

The icy and fiery powers situated in his lower and central dantian were polar opposites, and they repulsed and complemented each other at the same time. In this way, they matched the Yin and Yang theory propagated by the martial arts in this world. Additionally, in terms of nourishing his body, this combined effect was much more amazing than any other single source of Qi.

Ding Hao had the illusion that he seemed to be continuously getting stronger with every passing second and minute.

“The Holy Double Manifestation of Saber and Sword is a peerless constitution indeed. It’s most apt to call it as a Holy Manifestation; I feel like a racing car being fitted with two super engines at the same time—once I set off, everyone will just be eating my dust!”

Ding Hao could not help voicing out his appreciation.

He had been training two dantians and two kinds of Qi for less than a day but had already experienced countless wonders.

“Haha, this is just the beginning. As your level in martial arts continues to improve, you’ll experience more wondrous effects of the Holy Manifestation,” said the Saber Master; she had finally begun to speak after a long period of silence.

“Eh? Have you come out of retreat, crazy woman? Does this mean you’ve already figured out the wonders of the ‘One Saber to Begin Your Journey Technique’?” the Sword Master said. He had been lonely for a while now and finally found a chance to argue; he was purposely teasing and poking fun at the female voice.

Ding Hao was also full of expectation.

If the Saber Master could complete the One Saber to Being Your Journey Technique, he would be able to successfully batter the Ren Meridian on the pathway of his six minor meridians from now on.

“Wahahaha, that’s only natural. How could a small manual of some Human-Level saber technique tie me down?” said the Saber Master before she laughed heartily.

“It’s such a small saber-technique manual, but it also caused you to think for an entire day. Yet you’re still ok with bragging.” The Sword Master taunted derisively.

“Damn you, Despicable Master. Are you looking for trouble?” The Saber Master had flown into a rage. “What do you know? The more basic the saber technique, the lesser chance of one stirring up the essence it embodies. This is what one calls ‘the mantras which are most true are those that are the simplest’. Have you not heard of this before, you overgrown kid?”

The Sword Master remained silent, a very rare occurrence.

Obviously, he had no comeback at all for what the Saber Master had just said.

The Saber Master finally grunted haughtily upon seeing her old foe finally become silent. It was only then when she continued, “Little Ding needs the manual to the perfect saber technique which can complement the Taixuan Sword-seeking Scripture, to trigger the second dantian of the Holy Double Manifestation of Saber and Sword. Naturally, I have to expend some effort to complete the One Saber to Begin Your Journey Saber Technique.”

Ding Hao felt touched upon hearing that.

The Saber Master had indeed gone through a lot of trouble to help him and had spent a considerable amount of effort on the incomplete manual.

“That saber technique is indeed not bad. I mentioned that I was somewhat familiar with it, and I’ve completed it for you. Alright, Little Ding, listen up carefully. This is the saber technique that I’ve supplemented…” The Saber Master bragged a little before explaining the completed One Saber to Begin Your Journey technique in detail to Ding Hao.

The Sword Master obviously knew that this was an extremely important moment and did not interrupt them at all.

After a long while, Ding Hao nodded, signifying that he had understood all about the profundity of the saber technique.

“Many thanks for going through all the trouble, Saber Fairy. I can’t thank you enough,” said Ding Hao. He was genuinely thankful. Then, he respectfully touched the ground and bowed to the Saber Master, who resided in his mind.

Even though this brand new saber technique was also named the One Saber to Begin Your Journey Technique, and even though its core was still fundamentally derived from the incomplete manual, in reality, its true essence was pole apart from the original incomplete copy. It was as if the Saber Master had specifically tailor-made an entirely new set of saber technique for him.

Furthermore, this new One Saber to Begin Your Journey Technique had already exceeded its original value and was totally able to complement the Human-Level Taixuan Sword-seeking Scripture. He could treat it as the perfect method for his first set of saber technique.

The Saber Master had obviously spent much of her attention on this manual.

“Hahaha, you’re still perceptive enough, Little Ding,” said the Saber Master proudly with a loud laugh.

“It’s merely an incomplete manual at borderline Human-Level. It’s not some Divine-Level magic skill. What’s there to be pleased about?” said the Sword Master. He had controlled himself for too long and could finally speak and argue now.

“If you’re so capable, create a set of saber technique as well, Despicable Master.”

“I’m trained in sword craft…”

“Since you can’t create a saber technique method, shut your trap for me…”

“You…”

Both of them began to argue with each other again, as if it pleased them very much.

Ding Hao had already lost all sense of respect for the two voices as his elders at this point in time. Instead, he felt that the male and female voices of mysterious origin felt more human and warm to him now.

After spending much time waiting for the two bossy voices to quiet down, Ding Hao finally began to practice the One Saber to Begin Your Journey Saber Technique.

According to the requirements of the saber technique’s mantra, Ding Hao channeled the Seed of Fiery Qi in his central dantian and divided a portion of the fiery power to begin battering the passage to his meridians situated at the first portion of his six minor pathways—his Ren Meridian.

Once again, Ding Hao’s demon-like comprehension skill and speed at which he could train was proven to be true.

The Ren Meridian, the first of six minor pathways, originated from the core of his central dantian and was longer than any of his 12 major pathways. There were 18 apertures contained in it, exactly two times that of the First Pathway of the Hand’s Minor Yin, the first path of the 12 major pathways.
