"Ahh !!", "What a long night", Bassam said as we walked back home after discussing whatever we could with Sam, the boy Phillip brought was with us but he was still fast asleep and Bassam was giving him a piggy back ride and Flaming was also fast asleep in my arms.

"A long night indeed" , I replied.

"Do you think Sam is right ??", Bassam asked.

"Right on what ??", I asked not knowing exactly what Bassam was asking about .

"Phillip being quite different from others", Bassam replied.

"I can't really say when it comes to these creatures no matter how different they are we can't be too trusting as we don't know what they could do next", I scratched my head as I replied.

"Yeah , but I don't think all this stuff with Phillip is part of the masked girl and Billy's plan", Bassam said.

"I don't think it's part of their plans, but as Sam said we have to leave rooms for what if it is so we don't get into a desperate situation", I replied.

"That's the best course of action", Bassam said and I just nodded my head in reply and we continued our journey in silence for sometime then Bassam broke the silence again.

"Hey" , "don't you think it's weird that Jack remained unconscious throughout our stay in that place ??", Bassam asked with a suspicious look on his face.

"What do you mean ??", I asked trying to hear if what he was going to say is related to the tingling sensation I felt earlier.

"Maybe he is just pretending to be unconscious so he'd not participate in our discussion out of shame", Bassam laughed as he said.

"I don't really know, but did you see the way his eyes were blood shot when he was fighting earlier ??", I looked at Bassam as i said.

"I didn't notice anything", "what did you notice ??" , Bassam asked with his gaze settled on me.

"I can't really say for sure but I was feeling this kind of tingling sensation in my chest when I saw it but I can't say what it really is", I replied.

"I didn't notice or feel anything", Bassam mumbled .

"I guess it doesn't really matter as.....", I stopped speaking and I strained my ears a bit to confirm the sound I was hearing.

"What is it ??", Bassam asked.

"Do you hear that sound ??", I looked at Bassam as i asked.

"What sound ??", Bassam also tried to listen to the sound.

"Wait !!, are you talking about the siren sound cause that's the most audible sound I can hear right now", Bassam said with a light frown.

"You can hear the siren of the police vehicle sound right ??" , I asked Bassam.

"Yes" , "what's the big deal", Bassam asked.

"It's coming from up ahead and it's coming down this road, let's find a place to hide so they won't see us, I said to Bassam .

" what's the big deal it's not like we are stealing or committing a crime ??", Bassam asked.

" let's hide in that building", l pointed at a two story building and I pulled Bassam towards it hurriedly.

"Why are we ??", "What did you do" , Bassam forcefully removed his hand from my grip.

Guy I didn't do anything.....

"Then what are we hiding for ??" , Bassam asked.

"That's what I'm about to tell you if you'd listen", I said with a light frown.

"Ok I'm listening", Bassam rested his left hand on his cheek.

"The boy" , I rolled my eyes as I said.

What happened to him...., I interrupted Bassam

"Since the vehicle is moving towards our direction they would surely see us they would surely approach us to ask some questions why are we outside by this time of the day", I explained to Bassam with a light frown on my face.

"And we will tell them we are heading home simply I don't get why you are getting worked up because of such a trivial matter", Bassam grunts as he said.

I can feel my left eye twitching as I look at Bassam," have you ever leveled up your IQ", I would put the question in it's simplest form , if the police see this boy who his family has just been killed and he himself is declared missing, what would the police consider us as ??.

"Ohh shit !!", Bassam shouted.

"Ohh shit !!" I mucked Bassam by mimicking him.

When....

"Don't talk just jump, they are already close by", I said to Bassam then I jumped and I landed on the fence.

"Boom !!", Bassam also jumped with the boy on his back, he landed on the fence and his leg slipped and he swayed a few times , I quickly grabbed his arm and he gained his footing on the fence.

I could see the headlight of the police vehicle accompanied by the wailing sound of the siren quite a distance away.

"Down !!", I said as I quickly jumped down the fence and Bassam followed.

The wailing sound of the siren quickly faded into the distance as the vehicles passed the building.

"Ethan your thinking is fast" , Bassam said with a teasing smile.

"Fast my foot" , "I totally forgot about what would happen if anybody finds out this boy is staying with us" , I smacked my forehead and sighed out loud .

Alright let's get out of this place before somebody finds us snooping around, as soon as I complete the statement a growling sound suddenly comes from behind Me .

Bassam and I quickly turned around and a huge pitbull came into view and the dog kept growling as it steadily approached us.

"I think this is the reward for being outside by this time of the night", I think we are toast !!"Bassam said .
