Floor 76: Arc Sophia

I opened my eyes to see that I had returned to the Floor 76 safe zone, Arc Sophia.

"Looks like I made it back."

I looked back at the teleport gate and then down towards my hand, noticing the yellow symbol slowly fade away.

Maybe the symbol only works in the Hollow Area? So many things to discover in that area along with clearing the floors.

"Regardless, I should be able to make it back to that area whenever I want. And then there's her... Philia..."

I held my hand close to my chin, almost as if a was deep in thought.

"She was an interesting girl. I could tell there was more to her than meets the eye, but still, she didn't look like the type to kill another player. I wonder who she really is."

Kiyo- Papa!

I didn't turn around fast enough to catch the small girl running up and crashing into me, wrapping her arms around me tightly. Following quickly behind Kiyo were the massive mass of friends I had made.

Leafa- Kazzu!

Silica- Hey, Kazzu!

Leafa- Th-thank goodness!

"Leafa? Silica? What's wrong? You two sound worked up."

Silica- We totally lost your location information Kazzu! You were gone for such a long time. I... I...

Leafa- I'm so glad to see you. I was really, really... I thought...

"But you knew I wasn't dead right? I know you can't see the Monument of Life anymore, but your friends list would've told you. Besides, I'm here now, right?"

Asuna- Kazzu you idiot!

"Oh god, what now?"

Asuna- We all have a slight understanding as to why you wake up early and go fight monsters while you wait for us to wake up, but to go and have us lose your location information!? Ashtry was worried sick!

Ashtry- Asuna... I knew he was alive... I wasn't that worried...

Asuna- Then why was it that you came to me all shaken up about his whereabouts?

I looked at her in shock, which was quickly replaced with a smile as I walked over to her and kissing her on the forehead.

"Sorry I worried you, my love."

Ashtry started blushing as she looked down at the ground, shy at the public display of affection. Instead of backing away, however, she gently wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a hug, which I reciprocated.

Ashtry- I'm glad you're ok my prince...

"Always my princess."

Kirito- But in all seriousness, we were worried about you. You were gone for the whole day.

Asuna- You could've sent a message to us at the very least.

"I... huh... yea, I could've... I'm sorry."

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Yui approaching me with a very disappointed glare. I nervously let go of Ashtry and knelt down to Yui's level.

"Hey Yui, you were worried too?"

She said nothing as she continued to glare at me, a bead of sweat rolling down my head.

Yui- You did a naughty thing Kazzu! Ashtry and Kiyo have been struggling to hold back tears, trying their best to find you!

"I know, I know but I already apologized. I was going to explain myself to you all before you came here. Let's just head back to Agil's and I'll explain everything."

Everyone who came to me gave off a slight nod as we started to head back to Agil's shop. Leafa leaned down to whisper to Silica.

Leafa- Does Kazzu worry people like that often?

Silica- No but I feel like something happened to him this time. We can't be too hard on him until we hear what he's got to say.

Leafa- It seems like you are too soft on him Silica. Maybe a good kick in the ass is what he needs!

Floor 76: Agil's Shop

We entered Agil's shop where other members of my friend group were there, waiting in a very empty shop.

Agil must've closed down for me... damn it now I feel bad.

Lisbeth- Oh! Kazzu! You're back!

Sinon- See, I told you! I knew he was messing around somewhere nearby.

Sachi- That doesn't mean we can't be worried. I know I was...

"Well, I wasn't really messing around."

Sinon- People worry way too much.

Ashtry- I know, It's just...

Kiyo- We didn't want anything bad to happen to Papa...

Lisbeth- Oh come on! We found him and he's safe. You two can relax now.

Her face changed from joyful and cheery into grit and annoyance as she looked at me with an angry look.

Oh, Christ here we go...

Lisbeth- Have you apologized to Ashtry and Kiyo for worrying them so much?

"Yes mother. Along with Asuna, Leafa, Silica and Yui. What, do I need to apologize to the rest of the group?"

Lisbeth- No, but you really can't just wander off when you feel like it and leave your girl and daughter to defend for themselves!

Kiyo- But...

Ashtry- Lizzie, you know I'm one of the strongest players in the game, right? While I was worried about Kazzu, I can still defend myself without his help, no offense my prince.

"None taken. Besides, it wasn't my fault that I was gone for that long."

Sinon- Not your fault?

"Yea. I was checking out a rumor that I heard from Argo had given me about a very small dungeon that wasn't filled with enemies or considered a safe zone. I was just checking the place out before my hand started glowing and I was teleported out of there."

Lisbeth- Huh!? Is that even possible!?

"Forced teleportation? Absolutely."

Sinon- You mean the same thing that happened to me and Leafa?

Leafa- D-does that mean you were transported to another world Kazzu?

"No, nothing to that extreme. The area I was in was definitely part of Sword Art Online. It was some sort of hidden area. I swear it looks familiar, but I can't place my finger on it."

Sinon- A hidden area? Do things like that really exist here?

Me and Sachi looked at each other and lowered our heads, being victims of one such dangerous rooms.

"Yes... but most of the time they aren't fun. This one felt totally different from the floors on Aincrad. There were a lot of strong monsters there, almost like an advanced difficulty area or something. You couldn't even see the labyrinth spire that leads to the boss rooms like we would normally. However, I believe that means there's a higher probability of getting a hold of more powerful equipment and items from the monsters. That's why I'll also be devoting my time to exploring this Hollow Area as much as possible when I have the time."

Sachi- Is it really possible for areas like that to remain completely undiscovered?

Kirito- It gets my gamer blood pumping! I'm so excited!

Kiyo- Do you know anything about it Yu-Yu?

Yui- There are definitely areas in Aincrad that, for various reasons, ordinary players haven't been told about. But those areas were sealed off right at the start of the game, so no one could access them.

"That makes sense."

Kirito- Players have no way of entering non-public areas, right?

Yui- Correct but, as we all know, the Cardinal System is unstable at the moment. If you consider that, it doesn't seem impossible that something like this could've happened.

Kirito- I see...

Asuna- Thanks for the information, Yui!

Yui- I don't think I did a very good job. I wish I knew more about the systems current operational status.

"No, you told us all we needed to know Yui. Thank you."

Kiyo- Thank you Yu-Yu!

Kiyo runs up and hugs the A.I. for a few seconds before running back over to me.

I think someone likes an A.I. program... I'll have a talk with her about it later.

Lisbeth- Hey, Yui. What about what Kazzu just said about there being new material items and stuff in this area?

Yui- I believe it is possible.

Lisbeth- I see. Unknown materials, new skills, it's all pretty exciting!

Silica- Maybe there'll be power ups for Pina as well!

Sinon- Maybe I'll be able to get stronger weapons...

Leafa- Me too!

Ashtry- It seems like a thrilling place to explore. I'm actually getting pretty excited as well.

Kirito- Maybe we'll run into some really strong bosses!

Asuna- Hold on everyone! Are you seriously thinking of going to this place!?

"I don't see the problem. I came back in one piece, right?"

Asuna- I know but something about it makes me really uneasy.

"Think of it this way, if we gather the items in this advanced difficulty area to toughen ourselves up, it'll make our assaults a whole lot easier. We would actually stand more of a chance clearing the 100th floor."

Asuna- I guess... you could be right. Alright, If Kirito is coming with you, there's no way I'll let him face that area by himself. I'll come too.

Ashtry- I'm sorry you had to fight your way out of there by yourself. You leveled up quite a bit in there.

"Well... I wasn't... alone..."

Ashtry- Oh?

"Yea, I met someone while I was over there."

Suddenly, I felt a dark and heavy presence as all of the girls in the room looked at me with glaring annoyance.

Asuna- "Someone" huh?

Yui- Kazzu, this "someone"...

Sinon- It's a girl, isn't it?

"Yea... her name is Philia..."

Asuna- I knew it!

"The hell?"

Sinon- I thought you said you weren't messing around? Turns out you were just sweet-talking this girl the whole time...

"What kind of guy do you take me for!? I wasn't sweet-talking anyone."

Sinon- Oh, really? I'm not so sure about that. I bet you said: "I'll do whatever I can to help you." Sound familiar?

Damn... she nailed me on the head...

"Yea... that's me alright..."

Asuna- So all this time, when Ashtry and Kiyo were fighting back tears and running themselves ragged trying to look for you, you were with this other girl?

Ashtry- Guys... you are all jumping to conclusions...

"I just bumped into her... literally... I turned up there, and there she was. Then this Skull Reaper showed up and we had to fight it together."

Kirito- Wait! The Skull Reaper was there!?

Ashtry- You and this Philia girl fought it alone!?

"Yea but the parameters were lower than the one on Floor 75, so we were able to dispatch it quickly."

Sinon- No comment...

Lisbeth- Well... I guess we should be grateful that the Dark Hero of Aincrad's still around. Now, shall we head out an explore this place?

Sinon- Let's do it. I'm not planning on hanging around this world forever, that's for sure.

Silica- I-I want to go too. I know I can be strong enough if you're there to help me Kazzu.

"As much as I would like to go ladies... I'm really exhausted..."

Ashtry- Tired from dealing with a Skull Reaper?

"The Skull Reaper, the new area, the false rumor, all of these events have left me mentally drained."

Lisbeth- Aww, come on Kazzu! We won't be a bother.

"I never said you would be, I just feel drained Liz. We can do it another time."

Lisbeth- But...

Yui- Lisbeth, Kazzu has expressed his exhaustion. He'll get some rest and be ready for action tomorrow, alright?

Yui turned her head towards me and winked. I chuckled at the A.I.

Sly program...

"Right. Just give me a few hours and I guarantee you'll see me up bright and early tomorrow."

Lisbeth puffed out her cheeks and turned around annoyed. It didn't last long as she glanced at me from the corner of her eye and smiled at me.

Lisbeth- Get some rest Kazzu. The Hollow Area won't be going anywhere.

"Thank you Liz."

Floor 76: Agil's Shop

Waking up early like I had promised everyone, I grabbed my gear and was prepared to leave until two sets of hands stopped me. I turned around to see both Ashtry and Kiyo fully equipped with their gear and ready to go. I looked back at the bed shocked, impressed with their speed to change clothes that quickly.

Ashtry- We are coming with you this time buster.

Kiyo- You won't be getting lost again under our watch.

"Well, I appreciate the effort you two. This is why I love you."

I gave them both kisses on the forehead and walked downstairs, noticing the small early morning crowd. I nodded towards Agil as he was helping a customer, leaving his shop and heading towards the front gate.

Floor 76: Arc Sophia

Kiyo- Where are we going Papa?

"I just want to pay Argo a visit to report her rumor and offer her a deal."

Ashtry- A profitable deal?

"I'm not doing it for the money... but yes. Very profitable."

Ashtry giggled as we found the Rat leaning up against a wall next to the town gate. When she saw me, her eyes went wide. She sprang up and ran towards me, arms extended. I held out my own arms as she embraced me in a hug.

Argo- Oh my god Kazzu I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to send you to a place that would literally take you off the map. I thought I had sent you to your death...

"Argo relax... I'm fine, see? No marks or damage done to me."

Argo- I know... but... I just... I didn't want you to get hurt because of me... ever since that stealth mission on the Knights of the Blood Oath, I worry about you Kazzu...

"Argo... that's really sweet but you don't have to worry. I'll be fine. Besides, I have something for you."

I opened up my menu and traded her any map data I had on the Hollow Area. She looked at it confused as I smiled.

"The cave itself might have been a bust, but it teleported me to a different area. I'll keep exploring that place when I have the chance and give you the map data. In exchange, I want you to not beat yourself up over my safety, ok?"

Argo- Well... ok...

"Thanks Argo, I know how much you despise being in people's pockets."

As we turned to leave, Argo grabbed my hand and shifted me to her again. She placed something in my hand and looked down blushing.

"Argo? What is this?"

Argo- Something for your eyes only... It's information I have kept very close to me, and I wouldn't even share it with Kirito.

"So why give it to me?"

Argo- Because... I... missed your birthday and I couldn't get you a gift...

"Argo... are you sure?"

She nodded her head quickly as she pulled down her hood, revealing her shoulder length blond hair.

Argo- I trust you more than anyone in this game... that why... I wanted you to know...

"Know what?"

Argo chuckled as she pulled her hood back up and stuck her tongue out at me.

Argo- You'll have to see my gift when you're alone.

Ashtry- It's not a... inappropriate photo... is it?

Argo- Oh? And what if it is? Would that upset you?

Argo chuckled as Ashtry stumbled on her words, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Argo- Now that type of information will never be for sale. You can relax Ashtry, no Rat in undergarments, just very sensitive information.

Ashtry gave Argo a small smile as she released her and walked back over to the front gate. I looked down at my hand, noticing the small slip of paper she had placed in my hands. I chuckled as I put it in my pocket.

"Alright, that covers my plans for the day. What would you two like to do?"

A message popped up on all of our menus simultaneously. Opening the message, our eyes went wide as well as our smiles.

Ashtry- From Lisbeth: "I reopened my smithy, and you're personally invited, so come on over! I have all sorts of things I want to try out!". That's what I want to do.

Kiyo- Yay! New smithy for Lizzie!

We proceeded to head towards the shopping district, looking around the area for a sign to Liz's Smithy. It didn't take me long to identify her crafted sign around the corner and approach the pink haired blacksmith, who was smiling at the newest branch of her line of work. Her shop looked like a corner store from the outside, with a small booth for taking customers' orders.

"Now that's what I call a shop, Liz. Glad you're finally reopened."

Ashtry- You just wouldn't be the same without your workshop.

Lisbeth- Heh, you can say that again. But let me make it formal.

She cleared her throat and turned to us with a greeting smile, tilting her head slightly.

Lisbeth- Welcome to the grand reopening of my new place! Would you like to come in?

"Gladly."

Ashtry- Yes please.

Kiyo- Yes Miss Lizzie!

Floor 76: Lizbeth's Smithy

She invited us in and pulled out some chairs for us. The inside of her new place looked exactly like her old one, with the addition of new furniture and a small room upstairs. We sat down as she started to make us refreshments.

"So, I know you just reopened recently, but how's business?"

Lisbeth- Well, not too bad, considering I just got it up and running.

Ashtry- I'm just glad you could find somewhere to open a new shop.

Lisbeth- It is a pretty nice spot huh? It might not have a water wheel like the last place, but apart from that, I'm really happy with it. But now that I think back on it, my old shop is where we made Kirito's sword and your gauntlets. Speaking of which, how are they?

"They're fine, still in top condition. I just, don't feel right using them until my one-handed sword skills are back up or in an emergency. I know that I needed to raise all of my skills as it was the original design for them, but I don't think I can invest that much time into each weapon again."

Lisbeth- Fair enough. I will say though, your gauntlets ended up being my truest masterpiece. "The Eyes of Aincrad", a weapon forged by the hero of the story and the determined blacksmith to drive back the darkness.

Ashtry- Sounds like an awesome fantasy story.

"Plus, there is still plenty of darkness to battle in Aincrad. But no matter what happens, whether sword or fist, I will continue to fight until we are free. Besides, I still owe you big time for making me those gauntlets."

Lisbeth- Oh, Kazzu. Th-that sounded so devilishly dashing! If you start saying things like that to other girls, Ashtry here is going to get jealous.

Ashtry- No, it's just the way he is. I'm not going to be jealous that he is giving hope to another girl.

"Getting back on topic, to celebrate the opening of your new shop, do you think you can make me a sword?"

Lisbeth's face turned distraught as she looked down nervously, tapping her feet together.

Lisbeth- Well, I could, I suppose...

"You suppose?"

Lisbeth- Well, there's one condition if Ashtry's ok with it?

Ashtry- I'm not in charge of Kazzu, he can make his own decisions. What's the condition?

Lisbeth- I want Kazzu to help me raise my skill level. After everything that happened, I lost my high-level smithing skills. I want to get them back. Without those skills, I won't be much of a blacksmith, and I certainly won't be able to make a sword worthy of your skills, Kazzu.

"If you'll be ok with me hanging around, I'd be glad to help you, Liz."

Lisbeth- Huh? R-really?

"Why are you surprised when it was your idea?"

Lisbeth- No! It's just... I thought you'd be busy with battles and all of that. We all noticed you waking up super early to go fight monsters and I don't want to overburden you.

"It's true I have important things to do, but compared to you Liz, you are more important to me."

Lisbeth- I am?

"Of course you are. You are my exclusive blacksmith remember?"

I gave her nose a little tap with my index finger, causing her to blush and brush her hair aside.

Lisbeth- W-well thanks Kazzu. Just don't forget to stop by the shop when you have time ok? We can work on raising my skill level.

"Sure thing. I'll drop by whenever I can."

Lisbeth- D-don't go too much out of your way or anything...

"I'll come here when I can. See you around Liz! Thanks for the drinks!"

Ashtry- Thank you for inviting us, Liz.

Kiyo- Thank you Miss Lizzie! Papa, wait up!

Me and Kiyo walked out of her shop, leaving Ashtry and Lizbeth alone for a while.

Ashtry- He really cares for you Lizzie...

Lisbeth- W-what?

Ashtry- Kazzu only says that kind of stuff to people he trusts and loves.

Lisbeth- Listen Ash, I'm not trying to butt in on your relationship.

Ashtry- It's ok Lizzie. I have no problem with you liking him like I do.

Lizbeth- Y-you don't?

Ashtry- Not at all. He seems to have that effect on people.

Lisbeth- But... your relationship...

Ashtry- Is still a relationship. I'm not saying we both date him, I'm only suggesting that if you want to spend time with him, I won't be clingy and you two can enjoy some time together.

Lisbeth- You... you're really ok with that?

Ashtry- Of course. I know that Kazzu's natural charm has caught the attention of a lot of people, it's nothing for me to get upset over.

Lisbeth lunged forward and hugged Ashtry tightly, a wide smile spread across her face.

Lisbeth- Thank you! Thank you so much! I promise I won't betray your trust in me!

Ashtry hugged Lisbeth back in the same manor, rubbing her head gently.

Ashtry- I know you won't Lizzie. You're one of my best friends. I trust you.

The two friends pulled back as Ashtry proceeded towards the door with a smile on her face, ready to catch up to us.

Ashtry- See you around Lizzie!

Lisbeth- See you Ash!

As soon as Ashtry left the building, Lisbeth stumbled back and held her hand close to her chest. A single tear falling down her face.

Lisbeth- I won't betray you Ashtry... I just want him to know how I feel...

We wandered around the shopping district for a while longer until I received a message from Klein, the message subject in all caps.

Well, this must be important.

I opened the message, realizing that he was just excited to show us something back at Agil's place. I let out a small sigh as I turned to my family and smirked.

"I'm guessing you two got the same message?"

Ashtry- Yep. Klein's excited about something.

Kiyo- Should we go and check it out? It could be important.

"Knowing Klein little pup, it won't be important. But we have nothing else to do so we might as well check it out."

Ashtry- If anything, it'll be fun to see Klein make a fool of himself again.

"Oh always."

Floor 76: Agil's Shop

We left the shopping district and reentered Agil's shop, noticing the entire friend group had also been invited.

Yui- Kazzu! You're back!

"Hey Yui. You being a good girl for your mommy and daddy?"

Yui- Yes, I have! I've been helping Agil out. His store has been very busy!

"That's good to hear. Good job Yui. Now, where's the man who invited us here?"

As if right on cue, Klein barged in the store and marched over to us confidently. His face looked serious but cocky at the same time.

Klein- Listen up everyone, you won't believe this! I did it! I finally did it!

Kirito- Klein, what's got you so worked up?

"And please stop yelling, we can all hear you without you trying to blow out our eardrums."

Klein- Kazzu, Kirito, this is going to blow you both away. I finally did it! My dream has come true!

Ashtry- I find it hard to believe you found one.

Klein- What are you talking about Ash?

Ashtry- Who's the "lucky" girl who has to deal with your very hyperactive personality?

Klein- You won't believe your eyes! Now, let me just check my inventory... Ah! There it is!

"If you pull out a doll Klein, I'm going to lose all respect for you."

Kiyo- What's wrong with a doll Papa?

"Even if you were old enough, I wouldn't tell you Kiyo."

Kiyo- Dang it!

Kirito- So... what is it?

Klein- Hold on a second, I've just gotta convert it into an object...

I looked over at the rest of my friend group to see their confused gazes. I shrugged my shoulders at them as I turned back over to Klein, who now had placed a giant hunk of meat on the table.

Kirito- Is that... meat?

"You called us all here for some damn food?"

Agil- Whoa! Don't doubt him just yet Kazzu! That's "Flying Buffalo A5" meat! That's some S-class food right there!

My eyes widened suddenly as I checked the item description. Surely enough, Agil was telling the truth. Klein had acquired one of the rarest meats in the entire game.

"I apologize for any doubts I had in you Klein; this is awesome!"

Kirito- That's pretty amazing, Klein!

Ashtry- S-class food... we didn't get to taste the ragout rabbit that Kirito caught last time. Now it's our turn to taste some rare meat!

Kiyo- I can't imagine how delicious it must be...

Klein- Heh. Got anymore compliments to give me?

Lisbeth- S-class food? What do you mean? Is this meat S-class?

Asuna- It sure looks like it.

Lisbeth- No way! Though, now that you mention it, it does look really delicious.

Leafa- And there's so much of it!

Sachi- How many portions do you think we can get out of that?

"Well, if I can be nerdy for a bit, an average cow can feed up to two hundred people."

Leafa- R-really!?

"Yep. But with how difficult it would be to carry two hundred stomachs worth of cow meat; it would need to be cut into ten-portion chunks."

Yui- And if I may add, the Flying Buffalo is a rare monster in itself. It is almost unheard of for it to drop A5 meat. This is about as rare as it gets! In fact, this might be the first time this item has been dropped anywhere in Aincrad!

Klein- Really!? I'm the first one to do this!?

"If Yui is saying that you are the first, then it's true. Congrats Klein!"

Klein- Looks like my luck is finally turning around! But this isn't all about luck, either! It takes real talent to take out one of those monsters before it gets away. I'm talking about my talent! You won't believe how hard it is to take these guys down when they are flying around all over the place.

"But I..."

Klein- And now that I know the trick, it's not going to be so difficult. The first thing you have to do is keep a close eye on their spawning points. To do this, you need to find yourself a good hiding spot. Once you've done that, you've just got to wait and make sure you don't get spotted.

"Klein, I..."

Klein- Of course, these monsters aren't big on showing themselves either, so...

Sinon- I'm not interested in all of that stuff. The only thing I care about is how the meat tastes.

Sinon looked over towards me and gave me a wink, aware that I was getting annoyed with Klein's explanation.

Smooth move Sinon...

Klein- "All that stuff"!? You don't even know the half of it Sinon. But fine, if you want to talk about the meat...

Lisbeth- Rumor has it that the flavor is just incredible...

Ashtry- I wish I knew that feeling...

"I think we are all about to experience it."

Lisbeth- You are going to share this meat with all of us, right, Klein?

Klein- Of course I am! Just, maybe not all of it. That's why I messaged all of you after all!

Agil- You know, if you're not planning on selling that meat, you need to think about how to cook it.

Silica- Agil's right. It'd be a shame to ruin S-class meat by not cooking it properly.

Agil- Well, if you're planning on treating everyone to a piece, I'll let you use my place as a venue. As long as the chef's willing to do the cooking.

Asuna- Of course! If everyone is going to be eating together, I'm happy to help!

Ashtry- I'll help you too Asuna. We may not have maxed out cooking skills anymore, but we can still make a kick ass meal!

Klein- Great! It's settled then! And there's no reason to be tight-fisted at a time like this. Let's eat it all! Every last bit!

Lisbeth- That's the spirit Klein! Let's stuff ourselves!

Klein- Hell yea!

Asuna- Alright, let's split up into teams so we can get everything ready as quickly as possible.

Pina- Skraw!

Pina came out of nowhere and took a nosedive towards the meat. Panicking, me and Silica lunged forward and grabbed Pina, grabbing onto each other's hands and pulling the tiny feather dragon into our arms.

Silica- Pina! You can't start eating yet!

"We gotta cook the meat first Pina. I promise you'll get your share."

Pina- Skraw...

Strea- Ashtry! Kazzu and Silica are holding hands!

We both blushed hard and quickly moved our hands away from each other so Ashtry wouldn't hurt us. Strea started laughing out of her chair.

Ashtry- I know Strea... I just saw them...

Strea- I know you saw them, I just wanted to see their reaction. That was priceless!

"Strea... I swear..."

Agil- Anyways... I should have everything we need here. When the meat is this good, the side dishes don't have to be anything special. Oh, I just remembered something!

Lisbeth- What's the matter? If you've run out of anything, I don't mind going to get it.

Agil- Would you do that? Oh, thank you. We just need some drinks to go with our meal. 

Something tasty... you know the place...

Strea- Now I'm curious about this place. I'll come with you Lisbeth. I'm sure I can do something to help.

Lisbeth- Ok, let's go together.

As they both left, I got an uncomfortable chill up my spine.

Did me and Kayaba remember to delete the alcoholic drinks from the game?

I swallowed hard as the thought scared me.

Yui- Me and Sinon will set up the table!

Sinon- Good idea. I'd feel bad about just eating without doing anything to help.

Kiyo- I'll help you two! We'll get the table set up in an instant!

"So, what are me and Kirito going to do?"

Agil- Why don't you two talk to Klein? He's the one who hunted for this meat after all. He's definitely the star of the show today!

My eyes widened at his suggestion. I darted my eyes over to Kirito to see he had the same expression dormant on his face.

Klein- That's right! And it wasn't easy, you know! It was just waiting, waiting and more waiting. I was there for hours!

Shit... I'm going to be here for hours listening to this man... and I already know how to kill one of these Buffalo.

Klein- Kirito! Kazzu! Are you two listening to me!?

Kirito- Y-yeah! Of course we're listening!

"It's kind of hard not to hear you with how loud you are."

Klein- So, eventually, my target appears, right? So, I jump out of my hiding place and smash! Ah... what a satisfying memory. You know, at that moment, I felt I was match for anyone. Even you and Kazzu, Kirito.

I guess Agil is right. Klein is the star of the show today. Even though I'll hate it, I'll be quiet and listen.

What seemed like an eternity listening to Klein talk only kept going as his explanation kept getting longer.

Fucking hell, save me!

Klein- And you know what I did next? I jumped right up onto the monsters back, just like that! I used the sword in my hand to cut its throat. I knew there was a chance it could throw me off, but I had to cling on. There was no way a man could give up in that moment.

As if she was an answered prayer, Lisbeth walked through the door with drinks, Strea following suit.

Lisbeth- We're back! And we brought drinks!

Liz, Strea, you are my fucking saviors.

"I can help you two! Be right back Klein!"

I instantly jumped out of my seat and ran over to the two girls, wiping the sweat from my brow.

Strea- Let's see, how about that little table over there?

Agil- Yea, that's perfect. We're nearly done in the kitchen too.

Kirito- Right! Well, I guess we better go eat. You can tell us the rest of your story some other time Klein.

Klein- Aw, but I was just getting to the good part.

No, you weren't...

Kirito- Come on, don't be like that! Aren't you curious about how S-class food tastes?

Klein- You bet I am! Alright, what's up first?

Ashtry and Asuna walked out of the kitchen with multiple platters in hand, setting them all around the table. They did a curtsey and prepared themselves to reveal their masterpieces.

Asuna- Well not only is there steak and stew...

Ashtry- But there is also a roast and some minced meat.

Agil- I asked the chefs to prepare every meat dish they could think of.

"No kidding..."

Kirito- There sure is a lot..."

Asuna- Well, there's a lot of us!

Ashtry- Now I'm worried about being able to fill everyone's stomachs with what we have prepared.

Klein- This is amazing! A5 meat is just the best!

Lisbeth- And knowing that we'll probably never get to eat such high-class food again only makes it taste so much better. But you said you worked out the trick to these things right Klein? That means you could probably take out another one, right?

Sinon- Are you saying that Klein gets to eat this meat any time he wants!? I'll admit, I'm pretty jealous.

Klein- I suppose so. Well, regardless, like you said, you guys might never get to eat this food again so make sure to fill yourselves up!

"It's much appreciated Klein but what about you?"

Kirito- Yea, I mean, you hunted down the buffalo in the first place.

Klein- Like the lady said, I can get more of this stuff whenever I want. Today is all about you guys. Eat up!

Kirito- Are you really sure about this?

Klein- Totally! Now I won't tell you again, eat up!

"You're going to regret that, but I won't pass up free food."

Klein- No worries, whatever you guys don't finish I will take for myself.

That should be ok. I think we're all happy to let Klein have some. We'll just say we're full when there's enough left to go around.

Leafa- All of this looks so delicious; I want to try it all! Can I take one mouthful of everything or is that not allowed?

Asuna- I think that's the best way for everyone to enjoy all of the dishes.

Ashtry- You don't mind that do you Klein?

Klein- I don't mind at all! Do whatever you like. I guess this is kind of an all you can eat buffet anyway.

Leafa- Well great! Bon appetit everyone!

I looked over at Klein, noticing his nervous face as everyone started grabbing individual dishes of food. I walked over to the table and grabbed two portions of everything without anyone noticing, putting one portion in my inventory.

Hopefully it'll still be fresh when this is all over.

After grabbing our food, we started to chow down, enjoying every dish presented in front of us. Everyone's faces were plastered with smiles and pleasure as they bit into each meaty dish.

Yui- Everything's so delicious! Especially the stew, I think that's my favorite.

Lisbeth- I think the steak is my personal favorite. I just can't get enough of that juicy, meaty flavor.

Sinon- I think I like the minced meat best of all. The sauce really adds something extra.

Agil- I think that sauce is made with the juice of the meat itself. That's why it's so good.

Strea- The minced meat is nice, but I think the roast is my favorite.

Agil- That makes two of us! The roast is my favorite, too. I love the texture.

Silica- Hm, all of the dishes really are great, but I think the minced meat gets my vote.

Sachi- Which one did you make Ashtry?

Ashtry- I made the steak and the roast while Asuna made the stew and minced meat.

Sachi- I was about to say, I'm having a hard time choosing between the steak or roast.

Ashtry- Why not both?

Sachi- Hm, maybe, no I've got it! The roast is my favorite!

Asuna- If I had to choose one dish, I think I would go for the stew. Having the vegetables in there makes the meat even tastier.

Ashtry- I would have to go with the minced meat.

Kiyo- The stew gets my vote! Even the vegetables are good!

Leafa- I agree with Asuna. The stew is the best in my opinion.

Kirito- It's so hard to choose. But this meat is so tasty, a nice simple steak might be the best way to enjoy its flavor.

Ashtry- How about you Kazzu?

"See, I'm going to be that guy and say I like all of them. There's something so simple and enjoyable about the steak and roast which make me enjoy it simple deliciousness. At the same time, however, preparing it in a stew has more of a complex ingredient mix and the minced meat is paired up with a sauce. I enjoy all dishes so much that I can't choose a favorite."

Klein- Oh... I can't stop drooling.

Kirito- Well, Klein, this is your meat. You don't have to just sit there watching us. Dig in!

Klein- No! I've made my decision! This meat is for you! It's all for you! Just keep eating until you're full!

Lisbeth- You might regret saying that Klein because I don't think I'm going to be able to stop. Are you sure it's ok?

Klein- Yes! I'm sure! Don't hold back, just eat!

After a few more minutes of devouring food, we started to slow down and finish eating.

Oh man, I really have eaten as much as I can handle now. S-class food is dangerous stuff!

Asuna- Well, I'm full. I can't eat anymore.

Ashtry- I feel bloated but at the same time I feel so good...

Kiyo- Papa, I think I'm fat now...

"You aren't fat Kiyo. You're still the same small bundle of joy I found at the orphanage."

Lisbeth- I think I'll be off the meat for a while now. The idea of eating some other kind of meat when I can still remember this taste seems impossible.

"You said it Liz. This was my families first S-class meal and I don't think I can go back."

Strea- That was delicious! There are so many of us, I was really worried that there wouldn't be enough for everyone. But it seems like it all worked out just fine in the end.

Sinon- I guess so. Do you want to hurry up and eat what's left Klein?

Klein- What's left!? You must be joking! So much meat and you nearly ate it all.

Sachi- We're sorry, it was just so good.

Klein- What even is there to finish?

Agil- Just one piece of steak. It's better than nothing. At least you'll get to know what the meat tastes like.

Klein- One piece of steak!? It's hardly worth bothering!

Agil- Does that mean I can eat it then?

Klein- Of course not! I didn't go through all that trouble to not even get a taste of my own meat! Where is it!?

Pina- Skraw...

Silica- Oh no, I was so caught up in eating that I totally forgot to give some meat to Pina. Oh Pina, I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted to try it.

Pina- Skraw... Skraw...

Klein- Come on! Don't look at me with those sad little dragon eyes!

I stood up and walked over to Klein, grabbing the last piece of steak and handing it over to Pina. Klein shoots straight up and starts yelling at me.

Klein- Kazzu, what the hell!? That was supposed to be mine.

"Would you relax Klein? You'll get your share just let Pina eat."

Klein- But...

"Trust me, Klein."

He remained quiet as he sat down while I fed Pina. The feathered dragon nibbling the pieces of meat from my hand and expressing her pleasure through small, happy squawks.

Silica- Thank you Kazzu, thank you Klein.

Klein- It was supposed to be mine...

After Pina was full, I turned my attention towards Klein and opened my menu, taking the one portion that was in my inventory and spread it out in front of him. He looked at it with wide eyes as he turned his head to me, shocked.

"I snuck some food in my inventory so you can have some later. Enjoy it Klein, you've earned it."

Klein- Kazzu, you wonderful little bastard! I love you!

Klein wasted no time stuffing his face full of meat. I laughed as I turned back to the rest of the group.

Ashtry- That was sweet of you Kazzu.

"I try my hardest."

Strea- Meeting Kazzu has had such a good effect on Klein. If this had happened in the past, he probably would have gobbled the whole thing up for himself.

Asuna- Say, Klein, let me know if you get more of that meat. Me and Ashtry will be more than happy to cook another meal for everyone.

Klein- Yea, yea I'll let you know.

We all shared a laugh as Klein continued to scarf down his meal. I looked over at Ashtry and smiled at her, which she reciprocated with a small kiss on my cheek. Kiyo gave my leg a hug as I patted her head. The last thing I noticed was Strea. She was staring at me with an amazed expression on her face. I didn't want to stare back in case I was wrong, so I kept an eye on her from the corner of my eye.

I know there is more to Strea that what she lets on. The fact that she is the same as Yui yet keeps it a secret from everyone besides me and the fact that Yui can't identify her as another Mental Health Counselling Program just makes her more mysterious.

Strea's eye contact never left my own as we continued to stare at each other from across the room. If there is one thing I could take away from Aincrad, it's that Aincrad is full of many secrets and undiscovered stories. With the Hollow Area and Strea's arrival making themselves known, I now had a new objective before we beat this game and leave Aincrad behind.

I'm going to find the truth behind this world, whether it be for the sake of enjoying a new world or to fulfill a false god's wishes. Regardless of the outcome, I'm ready to uncover everything else that Aincrad has to offer.

Reaching down into my pocket and pulling out Argo's small slip of paper, I unfolded it. My eyes widened as I read the contents of the slip. It read: "My name is Argo the Rat, but when we get out of here, you can call me Tomo Hosaka. See you around Kazzu!"
