Taking My Elder Brothers As Husbands

Chapter 48 - Pregnancy?

Chapter 48: Pregnancy?

“Shit!”

Yan Luan stared in surprise as the great wizard murmured in annoyance at his own mistake. He had probably not expected that the woman in question – Yan Luan, which whom Yan Dao was willing to give up his own flesh and blood to revive, had already reincarnated just three years after her death……

After that, the modern life belonging to Xu Wan flashed through her eyes, various important events from her birth to adulthood. As for the jade bracelet she found from the family’s old house, that was probably destined to happen no matter what she did.

The wet dreams from before had gradually became reality, and the two blurred out faces that she could not focused on, were now clear to her. She noticed that her bracelet had shone brightly at the major accident, causing her to return to this dynasty, allowing all three of them to restart at the starting point as promised by the great wizard.

As for why Jiang ShaSha had arrived together with her… It’s probably pure coincidence……

Yes. She was Xu Wan, but she was also Yan Luan, while the Yan Luan from before her arrival was not a completed soul, as that particular soul was living a human life in the modern world at that time.

The gears of destiny had finally began when she was brought back by the jade bracelet.

Crash!

The entire dream shattered into pieces at the exact same moment she confirmed her true identity.

When Yan Luan finally came to, there was a bitter soup taste within her mouth. Her high fever had retreated, but her body was still weak.

She struggled to rise from her bed as she stared around the empty room for signs of her brothers, only to be disappointed.

“Luan Er!”
(TNote: The ‘Er’ in this context means child, mothers in the olden days would use on of their child’s name+Er to express affection.)

When Princess YongKang arrived, she realized that her daughter was finally awake and called out to her with an overjoyed voice before hurrying over to the bed and pressing the hand of her hand against Yan Luan’s forehead.

“Mother, you’re back!”

Noticing that Yan Luan’s forehead was coated with sweat, Princess YongKang quickly took out her handkerchief and began dabbing at the sweat gently, “You had been sick for days, and I had rushed home with a few personal guards right after I received the letter from Yan Jing. Are you feeling any better now?”

The Princess YongKang from her past life had loved her from the beginning to the very end, even when it was confirmed that she was in a relationship with Yan Jing. As a mother, after the initial shock and sorrow of the abnormal situation, Princess YongKang had not obstructed her children’s personal lives and had quickly acquiesced to it.

Unfortunately, when Yan Jing had fallen in battle and the fugitive Wang AnZhi returned to seize the throne, as the Queen Dowager, Princess YongKang had finally ended her own life in her room.

She stared wonderingly at her daughter, who was hugging her and sobbing, “What happened, my child, why are you crying?” She coaxed soothingly as she ran her fingers through Yan Luan’s long silky hair.

But Yan Luan was unwilling to leave her mother’s arms, “Where is elder brother and second brother?” She murmured softly, her eyes still immersed with tears.

“They had been taking care of you for days without rest, and mother had chased them off to rest just moments ago.” Princess YongKang giggled slightly.

For days without rest? Yan Luan shook her head as she sighed softly, this wasn’t the first time that had happened. Everytime she got sick, Yan Jing would stay guard beside her bed for days while Yan Dao would hid silently outside the window, watching and guarding her.

“Mother, that Wang AnZhi……”

As soon as she heard the name, Princess YongKang’s expressions darkened significantly as her lips curved up into a cold sneer, “You can forget him, Luan Er, he is but a dead man to us, though we will keep him alive for a little while, since House Wang is still in power.”

Even though he managed to live, a castrated man would always suffer more in living, which was why she had specifically praised Yan Jing for doing it.

Yan Luan nodded, of course she understood the power Hose Wang held. It took Yan Jing almost five years to kill Wang Yong and clear out the remaining tumors of House Wang… But even so, when Wang AnZhi returned years later to seize the throne in the name of his father, the responses from the court was still favorable, which was why he could successfully ascend to the throne.

Now she understood why Chu YunShang insisted on Wang AnZhi.

In the evening, both Yan Jing and Yan Dao had rushed into the room while she was accompanying Princess YongKang for dinner. They let out a sigh of relief as soon as they saw her, who had been unconscious for several days, sitting on the chair normally.

“Jing Er and Dao Er, you’re both here? Luan Er had been searching for the both of you the moment she woke up.” Her eyes were warm as she glanced at all three of her children fondly, “Come take a seat, though mother will leave now, as there are some things that needs to be settled…”

The two hurriedly escorted Princess YongKang out of the room before returning to the room, but as soon as they stepped through the door, something crashed into Yan Jing’s arms before he could react.

It was Yan Luan, and she had already wrapped her arms around his waist as she called out to him endearingly, “Elder brother, elder brother~”

Perceiving her trembling shoulders to be the lingering fear of what had almost happened with Wang AnZhi, Yan Jing pressed his palm on the top of her head softly, “Don’t be afraid, Ah Luan, things like these will never happen again in the future.”

Yan Luan did not speak, instead, she had tightened her arms around him as she breath in his scent greedily, it was not until he had spoken that the image of him falling in battle at war faded slightly from her mind.

“Hmph!”

Meanwhile, Yan Dao had snorted sourly, causing Yan Luan to quickly lift her head from her elder brother’s chest.

Tears filled her eyes as soon as she saw her second brother, before rushing into his arms hurriedly, “Second brother!” She called out sweetly.

And perhaps it was because he had not expected her sudden embrace, Yan Dao stiffened awkwardly while his hands floated above her shoulders, it was not until he heard Yan Jing’s laughter that he reciprocated her hug tightly, though his ears were burning at the same time.

“Why is Ah Luan so passionate?” Yan Jing asked curiously.

Yan Luan did not know how to answer to his questions. She had finally regained her past life’s memories, and there were thousands of words she wished to tell them, but they do not possess the memories she had…

To think that he had allowed himself to be burnt alive with the jade bracelet without hesitation, just so all three of them could return back to the starting point… Her heart broke just thinking about how much he had suffered.

“Elder brother, second brother…” She rasped hoarsely in between her sobs, “I…In the future, let’s be together forever.”

Since then, she could laugh whenever she remembered the expressions on her brothers’ face that day.

“Pfft! Are you telling me that, you… Yan Jing and Yan Dao… had a 3P!?” Jiang FuYuan’s beautiful eyes were bright with the need to know.

“3P… Can you at least use some nicer words… But yes, life is short and since I was given the chance to start over, I do not wish to repeat the previous tragedy once again.”

Jiang FuYuan nodded in agreement as she ate the fruits on the bowl nearby, “See, that was exactly what I had advised last time, but still, it’s good that you’ve finally made up your mind, better late than never I guess…” She chuckled before sighing deeply, “To think that the two high quality godly men were both taken by you, tsk tsk.”

Yan Luan snorted softly while her lips curved into a slight grin, “On the other hand, why are you eating non-stop? How did your appetite grow to such lengths after a single summer trip?” When she was still Jiang ShaSha, in order to maintain her perfect figure, she’d always been a firm dieter.

Jiang FuYuan paused in her actions upon hearing Yan Luan’s words, only to let out a burp immediately after, “Eh? Come to think of it, I have been craving for food nonstop lately, especially for sour and sweet things…”

“Could it be that you’re… pregnant?” Yan Luan giggled at her best-friend’s confession.

“Pregnant?” Jiang FuYuan jumped up from her seat in shock, before placing her palms on her flat abdomen while her facial expressions changed and changed, “It’s… not entirely impossible……”

The madness that had happened between Yuan Jun and her had went on for days, and considering the times that had past, it was entirely possible for her to conceive his child.

Yan Luan’s jaw dropped at her friend’s answer, as if she had not expected that her usual teasing would end up a reality, “D…Does it belong to His Majesty?” Her eyebrows were raised slightly as she inquired silently.

Her words had apparently sent Jiang FuYuan into a playful fury as she slammed her palm onto the table with a loud bang, “Whose would it be if not him?! To think that my observation and knowledge of men had failed me this time!” She mumbled unhappily, “That man, whom I had thought to be a gentle and docile sheep, was actually a tenacious and perverted wolf!!”
