Tang San’s Twin Sister

Chapter 23

Large houses appeared out of nowhere at the edge of the forest, well fewer houses and more shops. Every kind of ware was offered, and the shopkeepers cried out their respective goods, a small path to the forest entrance.

"Warrant. We recruit to hunt strength-type spirit beasts; we need two people." Someone announced.

"We are hunting for agility-type spirit beasts, seven people! Payment of ten gold spirit coins!" A scream from the left.

Defensive tools and weapons were especially sought after and sold for outrageously high prices. The Grandmaster led them through the market area and shook his head at the warrants.

"Children remember, a good spirit hunting group is formed best with five people, support, heal, strength, agility, and defense spirit masters, respectively. That is a well-rounded group and even better if they are used to each other and know how to coordinate well.", The Grandmaster said and looked around until we saw three people standing a bit apart carrying the signs of the mercenary guild, "I believe those are our escorts?"

"They are," Tang Yin agreed, "There is no one else here carrying a mercenary sign."

Together they walked up, and Ning Feng took the token from her bag. "We are Ning Feng and Tang Yin; we came to the mercenary union to hire a few escorts to hunt spirit beast. May I know if you are the ones we hired?"

"Indeed we are, little Miss, five people, I was told.", the only woman answered, pointing to the other two, "These are Yule, a level 43 defense spirit master, I am Lize, a level 56 attack spirit master, and this is Ari, a level 47 support spirit master, and you are?"

"This is my brother Tang San; I am Tang Yin. We aim for becoming control the spiritual master, Ning Feng, for support, Yu Hua for the attack, and this is our Teacher; you can call him Grandmaster. Everyone does." Tang Yin introduced her group.

"I am curious control is not a choice that common." Lize looked at Grandmaster, "May I know if you are the Grandmaster from the golden Iron Triangle?" the Grandmaster nodded at her question, and the other two looked slightly startled by his response.

"It is our honor to be of help to you," Yule said, and Ari bowed with him towards the Grandmaster; so he really was a kind of big shot Tang Yin concluded.

They continued the rest of the way toward the forest, and as it came into full view, the children couldn't help but stare in amazement. Trees rose into the sky, seemingly endless, and a thick and almost equally high wall guarded the entrance. As if that was not enough, an uncounted number of armed to the teeth man patrolled along the fence and threatened everyone approaching too close to the forests.

"Entering the Forests is not easy," Yule said and turned towards them, "We have a Permit from Spirit Hall we'd rather not use. Do you have a Token with you?"

The Grandmaster and Ning Feng took a Token from their bags and looked at each other in surprise. Ning Feng shrugs her shoulders and puts hers back into the bag, much to the Grandmaster's amusement.

"Question, do you remember what the symbols on it mean?" Everyone raised their hands, "Good Ning Feng."

"S-Spirit hall, c-clear s-sky sect, seven t-treasured pagodas, b-blue lightning t-tyrant d-dragon, and t-the revered s-spirit douluo.", She said and pointed at each of the signs to show which for whom, "T-The h-higher the r-rank t-the more a-access t-to the forests."

Now in eight, they walked up to the guards at the entrance of the forests, and the Grandmaster gave them his token, and the guards stepped aside to let them pass. As soon as the Gates closed behind them, the Grandmaster closed his hands, "Luo San Pao."

Puff.

A tiny tendril of purple-colored spirit power separated from the Grandmaster's palms. Tang Yin shivered as she felt a slight release burst of spiritual energy from the Grandmaster's body, and a little creature appeared.

It was a creature, and at first glance, it resembled a dog, just a lot more massive and bulky; it was almost as big as she and nearly as thick. Its entire body was covered in light purple fur, with a pair of drooping ears and deep blue eyes. Its fat swayed a bit as he moved forward on his tiny legs, and his head carried a big bulky spherical something. As soon as it saw the Grandmaster, it happily yipped and ran over to him, rubbing his head against the Grandmaster's Leg. Two yellow rings formed around it as it happily gazed at them.

"Children, Lize, Ari, Yule, let me introduce this is my spirit Luo San Pao; you may call him San Pao."

Lize had sparkling eyes as she looked at him, "He is cute.", she erupted, "Can I touch him ?" she asked, and the Grandmaster nodded, slightly startled at her question.
