The last school week felt as if the whole of Hogwarts had been forced out of its mental equilibrium. The fifth and seventh year students were scurrying around the castle like zombies, ready to pounce on anyone who got too close to them, and instead of weapons, they would probably have used heavy treatises, which the poor guys wouldn't part with for a moment. The sixth-years, giggling gloatingly, were lounging on the shore of the lake, enjoying the June sunshine. And yes, Stiles would be lying if he said that the sight of an exhausted and flustered Derek didn't genuinely thrill him.
Lydia, as promised, had pulled Stiles up in every subject, so much so that the boy even had a perfect score in Potions. The Gryffindor had passed Transfiguration without even thinking about it, twenty-five minutes after the exam had started, blaming it on the fact that the questions were too easy for him. But everyone, of course, already knew whose credit it was.
Will had become the most talked about topic of conversation for a month and a half, and so far Hogwarts hadn't calmed down one bit. At first, the teachers had put a lock on the conversation with Dumbledore, saying that everything had to be completely confidential and secret. Naturally, no one was surprised when the next morning the whole school was gossiping about it. At the Slytherin table, everyone except Cora and Derek had faces like they had just been morally destroyed. Girls from all the faculties were suddenly hitting on Will, suddenly noticing how cute he was and how beautiful his eyes were. Lydia was still enjoying the envious glances from the other three faculties when Will took turns hugging the three Gryffindors as they passed by.
The Slytherin had one more exam to take as a sophomore, and Lydia only nodded in satisfaction when she found out it was Transfiguration. The seven Gryffindors had experienced the boy's power in that subject, so they had no reason to worry.
- I think we'll go to France on holiday with Dad,' Allison said, lying on the warm grass next to the rest of the boys.
The day after tomorrow there was to be a celebratory dinner, the scoring and presentation of the Hogwarts Cup, and Gryffindor, who had won the school's Quidditch Cup, was hoping to get a second one. For the collection, so to speak. Will was leaning back against the trunk of a wide tree, just enjoying the company of his friends, squinting blissfully and rubbing the silver hieroglyph on the string hanging around his neck. Stiles and Scott, lying next to each other, giggled occasionally, shoving each other. Malia, resting her feet against the trunk of the same tree Will was sitting by, lay on her back with her head in Matt's lap. Such tranquility could even be called idyllic, if it weren't for the thought that in a couple of days the guys would be separated for a few months. Of course, they'd agreed to write to each other every day, but there was still a longing in each of them, and spending time together like this seemed like the best idea.
- It's beautiful in France,' Will nodded, shifting his gaze to Allison.
- You've been there? - The girl raised her eyebrows interestedly, turning her head slightly towards the Slytherin.
- Yeah, when Anwen was about four,' the boy nodded, 'It was my last summer before Hogwarts. Ani was so scared of the Eiffel Tower then that she forbade us to go near it on principle,' the Slytherin smiled at the memory.
- You showed me a picture of you on top of it,' Stiles remembered, frowning.
- Yeah, I had to tell you there was a dragon up there,' the brunet snorted, resting the back of his head against the tree trunk again.
- You do realise it couldn't technically be up there, right? - Lydia asked, smiling just in case.
- Martin, don't be a nuisance,' Will laughed as the girl kicked him lightly on the shin.
There was a cosy silence for a few moments, broken only by the rustling of leaves. Sonya and Tyler were sprawled out near the boys, breathing in the fresh air with relish, coming off their last exam. Judging by their disposition, the two of them had already passed the line of friendship. Alice, sitting by the lake, was chatting about something with her fellow students, putting her textbooks away. The whole school seemed to be waiting for the end of the school year, but at the same time didn't want to part at all. Everyone tried to stay with their friends as long as possible to soak up these moments for the next two months. The next day was busy only for the graduates, who traditionally stayed at the castle even after everyone else had left, so everyone was trying to think of the most interesting thing to do. Lydia, Allison, and Malia were planning on packing for the day, Matt and Isaac seemed to want to sleep all day, and Stiles, Scott, and Will wanted to take care of some business they hadn't told anyone about yet. The guys didn't take offence, though, knowing that they'd find out when the time came.
- Will,' Stiles called out, 'Are you going to talk to your parents?
Will understood him at once, it was obvious from the look in his eyes and the tightening of his lips for a moment. Naturally, the subject was still a sensitive one for the boy, and the boys tried to touch on it as little as possible, though the Slytherin could hear the whispers thrown his way every day when he walked down a busy corridor. Usually it was Lydia and Stiles who pulled him out of such a situation, but now Stilinski was the one asking the question, so there was no way to avoid answering. And I didn't really want to, to tell the truth.
- I've thought about it,' Will nodded, closing his eyes again, 'I think we should talk about it. They should understand. I have to tell them I know everything anyway, but it changes absolutely nothing.
- How are you feeling? - Lydia ran her palm over her friend's knee, looking up at the sky. He interpreted this question correctly too, as if their understanding was already at the highest level.
- I'm having a hard time making up my mind right now,' the Slytherin shifted his gaze to his friend who was staring back, 'It's kind of weird. I still consider them my family, but I'm a little uncomfortable talking about my real parents now. It's like I'm disrespecting one or the other. I don't know how to say Miriam and Richard in conversation. With you I call them mother and father, but how do I say that to the people who have been my parents for eleven years and raised me?
- Try to tell it like it is,' advised Martin, 'Call them what you think is necessary at the time of your conversation. Your parents will understand, I'm sure. They know very well that you love them, so everything will be fine.
Will, not answering anything, just smiled, squeezing his friend's palm on his knee for a second as a thank you. The guys spent a few more minutes in silence, thinking about their own things and nothing at all at once. Trying to get used to the idea that just a few months after making real friends he would have to part with them again for a while had been keeping Will on his toes for several days now. Recently, they'd even started a tradition. Examinations of different courses and faculties tried not to put at the same time, although, of course, sometimes there were exceptions. But, nevertheless, if Will had a free hour, while the Gryffindors were shaking before the next test of knowledge, the boy was sure to come to the guys, calling himself a charming spiritual support. And, as the boy expected, everyone calmed down in a flash - Malia, Isaac, Scott and Matt stopped shaking, and Allison, Stiles and Lydia started to look even more confident. It was even annoying at times, but Will really liked being needed by someone.
He also liked the look on his fellow students' faces when he'd seen the three Gryffindor girls bringing him his favourite mints while waiting for his turn outside Char's office. Will had long ago noticed the interest from his peers after the recent events, but it didn't bother him in the slightest. Stiles even jokingly called him a heartthrob, to which the Slytherin could only chuckle and roll his eyes incessantly. Trying to explain to the Gryffindor the real meaning of the word had lost its meaning after a fortnight.
He had also never expected his relationship with Cora to work out. In fact, the girl had never really been his enemy, and had almost never bullied the muggle-born Will, but the Slytherin still had a dislike for her. After the news of the boy's real origins had spread literally throughout the castle, the younger Hale seemed to have taken it upon herself to keep him safe in the absence of Lydia or Stiles, with whom, incidentally, she hardly fought anymore either. Almost. Simple stares were better than flying spells anyway, so Will was fine with that.
- Hey, heartbreaker, you can't even get your admirers to leave you alone on holiday, can you? - Stilinski's satisfied voice came from downstairs. Will opened his eyes in surprise and raised his eyebrows.
There were a bunch of Slytherin girls sitting about five metres away from them, casting languid glances at the boy, who had never missed an opportunity to cast a few pretty spells on him before. So languid that Will laughed involuntarily, sliding down onto the grass and resting the back of his head on Stiles' thigh.
- They're all so stupid, Merlin,' Will snorted, watching the clouds.
- Grow up and you can be with any of them,' Stiles shrugged.
- When I grow up, I won't want a girl like that,' the Slytherin rolled his eyes, 'Why the hell would I want someone who bullied me until she found out my origins? God, that sounds ridiculous. If I'm really thinking about a relationship in a few years, I'll pick the one I've been in a relationship with before all this. Like Lydia, for instance,' Will said, glancing at Stiles with pleasure, his cheeks flushed. 'Don't worry, little brother. She may be my ideal, but she's my mate first and foremost,' the Slytherin grinned.
- Come on, what do I care? - Stilinski mumbled, averting his gaze. Will grinned again and looked up at the clouds.
- Am I your ideal? I'm flattered,' Martin shoved him in the side.
- Well, not exactly you, but you're very close, - the boy smiled, squinting when the sunbeam hit him directly in the eyes, - You're smart, brave, kind and loyal. And you're willing to really do a lot for the people you care about. Maybe that's just the way it is with you Gryffindors. It's just that Allison and Malia fit all of those things I listed.
- I'm sorry, Will, but we'll never match Lydia's intelligence,' Allison laughed, 'But thank you.
- But you're still the best girl in my department. Slytherin only cares about arrogance, coldness, and the ability to give a harsh answer,' the boy rolled his eyes.
- What about Cora? - Stiles gave the Slytherin an interested look, winking at the wary Martin.
- Cora? She... - Will stretched out, the next moment feeling his thoughts drifting far away from here. Shaking his head, the boy frowned, propping himself up on his elbows, 'This is a stupid topic of conversation. I'm twelve years old, what girls? It's not normal to have relationships at that age.
- They don't think so,' Stiles grinned, nodding his head at the sighing Slytherins.
- Told you, stupid as hell,' Will laughed, falling back into the grass.
The boys spent two more days like that - in each other's company, alternating between important topics and nonsense.
with nonsense. As expected, Scott and Stiles, who'd been running around with Will to discuss the very thing no one else knew about, had completely forgotten about packing their bags, and had looked at the Slytherin like an enemy of the people when he'd self-consciously announced that he'd packed as early as last week. That was why Stilinski and McCall spent the rest of the time before the dinner party in their room, glancing enviously at Dahler and Leahy, who were sniffling - no one had ever understood the reason for their unreal tiredness.
It was even louder than usual in the Great Hall, everyone was trying to shout over each other, arguing, talking, discussing something. Everyone was anticipating two events. The first one was the awarding of the school cup, which made even the quietest representatives of the faculties whisper among themselves. The second event - exciting Stiles even more, it seemed - was the celebratory feast, promising even more food. The general feeling of relaxation was almost intoxicating.
- Exciting, wasn't it? - Scott asked, rubbing his palms against each other in anticipation.
- Oh yes, I wonder what they'll serve for dessert tonight,' Stiles licked his lips.
- Unbearable,' Lydia snorted.
Tapestries depicting the Hogwarts crest hung around the perimeter of the room. Ghosts flew around the room, occasionally hitting the students, causing them to wince and gnash their teeth. At the professors' table there was the usual atmosphere of general madness - Dumbledore was laughing and saying something to a smiling Flitwick, McGonagall, Steble and Pomfrey were chatting amiably, Hagrid was trying not to ruin anything, Peter was smirking in his chair, and Snape was giving the students an icy stare.
- Home comforts,' someone hummed above Stiles' ear, causing the boy to turn around. Sure enough, there stood a smiling Will.
- I'll miss you too, sweetheart,' Scott pursed his lips together.
- McCall, you just want to make out with someone,' Lydia rolled her eyes to the laughter of her friends.
- And you, my dear Gryffindors, don't relax, we all have a very, very interesting announcement to make from our esteemed Headmaster,' the Slytherin winked at his friends, shoving his hands into his trouser pockets.
- Who talked you out of wearing jeans? - Malia asked, raising her eyebrows. Will had been assuring them for nearly two weeks that he'd come to the farewell dinner in black Muggle jeans. Maybe it was moments like this that made him fit in with the Gryffindors?
- Cora,' Will rolled his eyes, 'Said I should be aristocratic, cold and elegant now. That, she says, is where my beauty lies. And that's practically an insult.
- Don't like being a Slytherin, do you? It's a lousy business, brother, really,' Stilinski chuckled.
- No, why? I'm used to it, actually,' Will shook his head, 'Especially now that I'm learning in this department, thanks to two very brave people. I don't know, maybe you've heard of them? - They're very shy, so maybe you didn't even notice them.
- Did you just call Stiles shy? Will, you have a great sense of humour,' the redhead snorted.
- Miss shy,' Stiles rolled his eyes.
- 'Keep bickering, but I meant what I said about the statement,' the Slytherin reminded her again, 'You should be interested. Too bad Stiles already knows about it. It'll be interesting to see your reaction,' Will winked at Lydia and turned on his heels, smirking, proudly raising his head and heading for his desk with all the dignity he could muster. There were whispers across all four tables, and Cora, seating the boy next to her, immediately engaged him in conversation, casting icy glances at every girl she thought was showing too much interest in the Slytherin's person. In fact, absolutely every girl in the room.
- We can put bets on them,' Stiles said thoughtfully, propping a hand on his cheek.
- A hundred says they start dating in fourth year,' Scott said, rubbing his palms together.
- I don't think it'll be until fifth,' Stilinski grumbled, 'Will may be smart, but not that smart.
- How would you know? - Lydia arched her eyebrows sceptically.
- Well, girls always take a liking to boys before they take a liking to boys, so Cora's going to have a bit of a struggle, I guess,' Stiles shrugged.
- And you've drawn that conclusion from just one example? - Martin snorted, not waiting for an answer and turning away from her friend to whisper something in the ear of the smiling Allison.
- Do girls always take a liking to boys before they do? Really? - Scott smiled slyly, leaning in close to Stiles' ear. Stilinski, blushing slightly, shoved him under the rib, looking away.
- I don't know what you're talking about,' the boy mumbled, ignoring McCall and Argent's overly obvious smirks with all his might.
Dumbledore rose from his seat, throwing his arms out to the sides as he always did, as if trying to embrace the whole room. There was dead silence in the room, all eyes turned to the Headmaster, expressing the utmost interest of every student. Smiling even wider, Dumbledore finally lowered his hands.
- My dear students,' he began his speech, 'This is the end of a long, hard, but exorbitantly beautiful year. I even dare to say that this time none of you have suffered any serious injuries, though you will have another twenty-four hours to make up for it. I'm also naturally very pleased with the fact that our teaching staff has remained the same as it was at the beginning of the year. It makes me think that Hogwarts can still exist in peace and without too many dangerous adventures,' the Headmaster looked directly at the Gryffindors, which only made them lower their gazes, causing the man to laugh, "Congratulations to all of our graduates," he said, now turning his gaze to Alice, - I know that we have some very bright students graduating this year,' as if to prove the professor's point, everyone immediately looked at the Krypters, nodding in agreement, 'Congratulations again to Gryffindor, who has won the Quidditch Cup. To the rest of the faculty, I can confidently say that they will have the opportunity to win the award next year.
- Almost an insult,' Isaac whispered.
- He just doesn't know that Scott and Stiles will be on the team next year,' Sonia smiled at him, causing McCall and Stilinski to blush in embarrassment.
- Professor McGonagall has asked me to talk about some other organisational matters concerning both this year and next year, but I think I'll politely avoid it,' turning to the clearly exasperated woman, the Headmaster added, "Forgive me, Professor, but this is too depressing," the man shrugged and turned to face the students again, 'Before you start dinner, I'd like to say something really important. As I'm sure you all know, our fine school always participates in the Tournament of Three Wizards every four years. And next year, it's time for this particular competition! If this is the first you've heard of it, the point of the Tournament is that--
- Oh, Merlin, the Tournament,' Lydia whispered mesmerised. She rolled her eyes at Stiles' questioning look, 'It's one of the greatest events in the life of a school, and it also helps to build relationships between schools. It would be great if it was our turn to host next year. I would so love to talk to the students of Durmstrang or Beauxbaton! - The redhead sighed dreamily, not noticing the smiles of her friends directed at her.
- And next year's Tournament will be held in Beauxbaton, which makes me both happy and sad, because I'll have to stay there all year,' Dumbledore said as if in answer to the girl's words. Lydia sighed and propped her cheek with her palm, not yet noticing Scott, Stiles and Will staring at her, 'I realise how difficult it will be for our graduates next year, since they won't be allowed to leave the grounds. That's why, in consultation with the professors, we've drawn up a rough list of applicants for a trip to this fine school. Naturally, Beauxbaton won't be able to take all the students of Hogwarts, but we'll be sure to take the adults and especially the minors who have shown themselves,' Stiles was pleased to see Lydia raise her head, listening with interest. Stiles turned around and winked at Will, who was smiling, 'So, to give you a choice now, I just have to ask, what would you like more - to start the feast or to listen to the list? - Naturally, almost everyone, wanting to hear their own name, clamoured, as if to express their opinion, - Well, the list. If you say so,' the man took out a parchment scroll from the folds of his robe and unfolded it, beginning to read, 'So, of the graduates who can go to Beauxbaton....
Not wanting to listen, Lydia shifted her gaze to the ceiling, frowning. Of course, she would like to be in Beauxbaton, even very much, but who would take her there? It was clear that such an honour would not be shown to ordinary freshmen. Suddenly, she realised that there were three interested stares directed at her, which no one was even trying to hide. Raising her eyebrows, Martin looked at her three friends in turn, turning away slightly to see Will fully. The Slytherin winked at her friend and with a nod of his head pointed in the direction of the still talking Headmaster, as if urging her to listen. Eyebrows raised in confusion, the girl shifted her gaze to Dumbledore.
- The rest of the graduates who are not on the list, but who nevertheless wish to be on it, must come to Professor McGonagall no later than this evening. Those whose names have been called must discuss the situation with their parents. So, I will now be offering the right to choose this year's exceptional minors. You may, of course, decline, though I would not, but that is your right. There are seven chosen from each department, from each course, respectively. There is one exception, though, which you will learn about a little later. So, from fifth year to Beauxbaton are invited,' the Headmaster paused, flipping the scroll, "Derek Hale from Slytherin," a burst of applause from the snake table, "Tyler Brook from Gryffindor," the same reaction from the lion table. Tyler started muttering something about how he couldn't leave the team without a captain and that they'd be better off picking Sonya, and Dumbledore continued listing names, but Lydia was distracted again.
If seven people were chosen from each faculty, that meant that of the Gryffindor first years, someone would be going too. It didn't make sense. So they're going to get a chance to go to someone else's school after all? What's the honour? No, Scott and Stiles had done well in school, but was that what they were being honoured for? Then the image of Will popped up in Martin's mind, and all doubts were immediately dispelled. Of course, Stiles had been chosen from their department. So that was the issue they were running on. Apparently, Will had been announced the list, and the Slytherin couldn't help but beg the professors to invite Stilinski. And the latter had naturally agreed. Yes, Will had definitely already passed on some of his Gryffindor nobility, and the realisation of that made Lydia smile warmly and shift her gaze back to the Headmaster.
- So, as you know, our school has recently formed an alliance of two conflicting parties,' Dumbledore smiled at Will, who looked away. There was a murmur of approval, and Lydia had an irresistible urge to hide the Slytherin from everyone's gaze,' I don't think there's any point in naming the heroes, as you know them well enough. So I daresay you've already realised that it was William Wright who was invited to Beauxbaton from Slytherin,' Lydia jerked involuntarily when she heard the name, shifting her concerned gaze to Will. The boy smiled reassuringly at her and nodded towards the headmaster again, forcing him to listen. Jackson Whittemore from Slytherin's first year may go to the Tournament,' Martin couldn't hold back an exasperated sigh, even from her seat she could hear Erica's cheers, "Brett Talbott was lucky enough to be a Cogtevran," Lydia raised her eyebrows in surprise at Stiles' heartfelt applause, 'Vernon Boyd may go from Hufflepuff. And now for our little exception.
Lydia was immediately alert, frowning and casting a worried glance at a pleased-looking Stiles. Grinning broadly, the boy took the girl's face in his palms and turned it towards Dumbledore, not allowing him to take his eyes off the Headmaster.
- Of course, I couldn't ignore such a significant event. Students from the two competing faculties supported each other, and it makes me smile every time. That's why two students from Gryffindor can go to the Tournament. And it was Will who insisted on it, please note. A beautiful friendship,' Dumbledore sighed dreamily.
- Sir, you didn't give any names,' the Slytherin reminded him, blushing slightly.
- Do I need them? - Mr Wright, if it pleases you,' he shrugged, 'Stiles Stilinski and Lydia Martin have been invited to Beauxbaton for a year.
Lydia stared shocked at the rather smiling Scott and Stiles. Martin herself didn't think it was anything to be rewarded for, so she couldn't imagine how Will had talked the Headmaster into doing something like this.
- Leeds, it's wonderful! - Allison whispered to her.
- Yeah, I guess so,' Martin nodded absently, 'How did you do it? - she asked the boys.
- 'It wasn't us, it was him,' Scott nodded uncertainly towards the Slytherin table.
- I mean,' Lydia put her palms together and frowned, still not fully understanding what had just happened. Unclasping her hands, the girl clenched them again, still watching her own actions with a unfocused gaze. A resounding laugh echoed across the table, causing her to pull away from the contemplation of her own palms and look at the Slytherin covering his mouth with his hand. Will was apparently very pleased with his friend's reaction, almost glowing with happiness. The redhead turned to Malia, who was muttering something to herself.
- That means we'll be without you all year, doesn't it? - she asked quietly. Frowning, Lydia shrugged uncertainly.
- I haven't given my consent yet. Maybe you haven't,' Lydia replied, immediately hearing the shocked gasps of her friends.
- I'm beginning to doubt your mental capacity,' Isaac raised his eyebrows, catching Stiles' icy stare.
- Look, this is not an easy decision, okay? I really want to, but,' Lydia was about to start listing the reasons why she might refuse the offer, but suddenly her hand was over Stiles's, and all words became meaningless.
- If you want to go, then you'll go,' Stiles squeezed her hand for a second and licked his lips as he looked around at the food that had already appeared on the tables.
- He's right,' Allison whispered in her best friend's ear, 'We'll get through this, don't worry about us. You should be there.
When everyone had eaten and the food on the tables was gone, Dumbledore announced that it was time to count the points for the cup. The air in the hall was electrified when the Headmaster said that Slytherin and Gryffindor had exactly the same number of points. Summoning the four Head Teachers - from Gryffindor went Sonia, and from Slytherin, of course, Derek - the Headmaster ordered that a certain number of points be awarded to the other faculties. Slytherin and Gryffindor may have been ahead, but now the other two faculties had a chance as well. It was forbidden to award points to themselves, of course, though Derek seemed barely restrained from doing so. Ravenclaw had given fifty points to Rufflepuff and Ravenclaw had given fifty points to Hufflepuff. Gryffindor also awarded their points to Ravenclaw, putting them in the top three. By now it was clear to everyone that Slytherin couldn't win, and it would make sense to assume that Derek would give his faculty's points to the Ravenclaws. How immense was everyone's amazement when Hale, with obvious reluctance to say the words, gave fifty points to Gryffindor, bringing them into first place. For a few seconds there was dead silence in the hall. In the next instant, the Gryffindors jumped up from their seats, tossing hats, ties, and even creepers up in the air. Sonja could only blink in surprise as she was handed the goblet. Passing it into Alice's hands, the girl looked much more confident, as if the award had no place in her hands. Derek returned to the table and caught the slightly surprised but respectful looks of Cora and Will.
They all left around midnight, sleepy, tired, and impossibly well-fed and satisfied. McGonagall personally took it upon herself to escort her charges to the drawing room, apparently fearing for their already precarious health. As could be expected, the girls spent the night in their friends' room, falling asleep right in their bedroom. Martin had been resentful for a long time in the morning, muttering something about how Malia had dragged them into the boys' bedroom last night and hadn't even bothered to wake them up. Malia only smiled, her voice husky:
- You and Stiles slept so sweetly that I was just too scared to disturb you.
Lydia didn't say anything, dragging her suitcase behind her.
This time the boys travelled in an extremely crowded compartment, sitting almost on top of each other. The eight of them were a little cramped, but it was fun and cosy, so no one had any thoughts of splitting up. Each Gryffindor felt it was their duty to introduce Will to their parents first, and then to talk to the boy's family. As it turned out, the names of every Gryffindor were already on the Wright's lips, which couldn't help but make them smile. The Slytherin himself was blushing, stammering and smiling embarrassedly as he shook hands with someone's father.
It was hard to say goodbye, but each of the boys had wanted to see their families for a long time, so they parted ways after about half an hour. Stiles vowed to write to each and every one of them five times a day, and the boys, strangely enough, believed him without hesitation. As they were leaving the station, Will suddenly grabbed Lydia's hand and hugged her, beckoning Stilinski over to him as well. The rest of the Gryffindors had already dispersed, and Scott had left with his parents to load up his things.
- Just thank you, okay? - he whispered, covering his eyes.
- Talk to them,' Martin squeezed the Slytherin's shoulder, smiling.
- 'They'll understand,' Stiles nodded, also finding himself in the brunet's arms.
- I think I'm even going to miss you,' Will smiled embarrassedly, taking a step away from the boys.
- You think so? - Martin laughed.
- Don't worry, Scott and I will come to you, - Stilinski winked at him.
- Yeah, I'll give you a tour of the underground,' Wright agreed.
- You come too,' Stiles said to Lydia.
- I'm spending half the summer at Allison's, so I can't say for sure,' Martin shrugged. With a glance at her already angry mother, the girl sighed, 'I'll write, okay? If anything, I just wish you a good rest,' the Gryffindor hugged her friends in turn, whispering into Will's ear, 'Make sure he doesn't get into anything, okay?
- I'm afraid I can't give you my word on that, since we might get into something together,' the Slytherin answered her.
Patting her friends hair, Lydia went to her mother. Natalie immediately started reprimanding her daughter for something, but the younger Martin only waved to the boys from the backseat of the enchanted car with a smile.
- I'm afraid they won't let her join us,' Stiles said.
Scott laughed, throwing his arms around both boys' shoulders.
Will had talked to his parents, after all, and they had understood, as Lydia had promised. Stiles and Scott had been visiting the Slytherin's house every day all summer, and once they had even visited Allison, who had Lydia at the moment. So no one had let them get as bored as the boys had expected at first. But they didn't seem to mind at all.
