Tell Me That You Like It

Chapter 13 - Side story 2. Life in Rome

Anna arrived in Rome after organizing her life in Korea and was warmly welcomed by Lucino’s family.

Lucino’s parents came to meet them at the airport. They welcomed Anna by hugging Anna for the first time, bumping and kissing cheek to cheek.

Anna concluded that learning Italian was a priority before learning vocal music, so she began learning the language step by step.

On weekends, she and Lucino would explore every corner of Rome, and on sunny weekends, they would escape to Italian resorts to relax.

They also visited the wine farm that Lucino had mentioned, where they enjoyed tasting Italian wines and spending time together.

Due to the sports car gift from her future father-in-law, Anna was determined to obtain a driver’s license before their wedding. She regretted not obtaining one in Korea but had no choice. She had to focus on studying Italian and preparing for the written exam.

Anna was busy immersing herself in a new language and culture in a new country. She worked tirelessly, to the point where Lucino became concerned about her well-being.

While preparing for her wedding in the fall, Anna lived with Lucino in his apartment.

The apartment she saw on the video call was much better in person. It was bigger and wider.

After getting married, they planned to move to a pretty house with a garden and a swimming pool.

As the days passed, Anna’s Italian skills improved day by day. At the same time, physical communication was becoming more and more satisfying.

She always liked sex with Lucino, but it got better when they started living together.

Due to the frequent intimacy between them and Lucino’s passionate efforts to awaken and develop Anna’s previously unknown erogenous zones, Anna had reached a point where even just a fervent gaze from him would leave her feeling aroused and in a state of discomfort.

“Haa… hah… stop! I’ll, I’ll do it with my mouth, Lucino.”

After already experiencing multiple orgasms twice in a row, Anna could no longer bear the constant stimulation.

After she climaxed, she felt weak. She could no longer accept the pleasure given to her.

“Do you want to suck it with your mouth? No, hold on.”

“Why… no, uh, is that …?”

“I can’t overwork your precious voice that sings with my greed. You have talent, so you might become famous all over the world in the future, so I need to take good care of you.”

Sometimes during sex, all Lucino would do was briefly insert a finger into her mouth and then withdraw it. Other than that, the only thing that entered Anna’s mouth was Lucino’s tongue.

She knew how much he enjoyed it when she gave him a blowjob. It seemed like he clearly wanted fellatio, but since they reunited in Korea, Lucino had never once asked for oral sex.

The sex was so good that she didn’t think much about it, but only today did she find out why he refused fellatio.

“Lucino. I had no idea you thought like that.”

She called to him in a mournful voice. A wave of indescribable emotion came over her.

Anna was moved by the man who always cared for her.

“I can do anything for you. Mio Amor.”

“I love you.”

She was moved to tears. Anna hugged Lucino and kissed him.

Three years have already passed since the gorgeous wedding in Rome.

Anna’s Italian had now become as proficient as a native’s, and Lucino’s Korean skills had also improved significantly.

Anna learned a lot of new things in Rome.

She learned swimming from Lucino in the swimming pool at home and started studying vocal music this year.

Lucino personally taught her how to drive, and Anna, who obtained her driver’s license at once, was able to skillfully drive the sports car that her father-in-law, Alexandro, had given her as a gift.

Lucino supported Anna in both material and spiritual ways. They hired several house helpers, telling her not to worry about housework and just do whatever she wants.

In fact, the house was so large that Anna and Lucino could not manage it alone.

At first, she wasn’t used to having a housekeeper, but as time went by, Anna began to adapt to that kind of life.

“My father said that there are too many perilla leaves in the garden.”

For his daughter-in-law who loves Korean food, Alexandro planted perilla leaf seeds himself in the garden, and laughed as he watched the perilla leaves spread uncontrollably throughout the garden as each year passed.

Sometimes, Alexandro would contact Anna and buy her food and give her perilla leaves or chives that he had grown himself.

Due to Anna’s influence, the entire Lucino family started eating Korean food, and everyone especially enjoyed eating kimchi.

Last year, the family got together and made kimchi together, saying they wanted to learn how to make kimchi.

Lucino, Alexandro, and Lucino’s younger brother Andrea were more passionate than Anna or her mother-in-law Francesca.

Alexandro and Andrea took the lead in making kimchi more than Anna, who is Korean, saying they looked up recipes on the Internet and studied them.

She didn’t know where they got it from, but there was a fuss as they even took shovels and bought 100 heads of cabbage to bury in the garden.

Anna and Francesca said that making kimchi was not as common as they thought, and that this kind of work should be done by hard-working men. While drinking coffee, Anna and Francesca asked to taste the kimchi later when it was finished.

Anna couldn’t stop laughing at the men’s antics.

Although Lucino’s parents were always busy with their work, they were surprisingly simple people and were always active in family matters.

Therefore, Anna did not feel uncomfortable at all meeting her father-in-law, Alexandro, and her mother-in-law, Francesca.

Rather, they were happy to call Anna their daughter. Sometimes, they thought Anna was prettier than their own child, Lucino.

“We wanted a daughter for our second child, but we ended up having a son. Instead, I’m glad that Lucino got married and brought home a daughter. He’s so happy to meet you, so we’re happy too, Anna.”

Then one day.

Anna started to feel nauseous while eating the carbonara that Lucino made.

At first, she thought it was food poisoning and rushed to the hospital, but the doctor congratulated her.

“Congratulations. It’s 10 weeks.”

The obstetrician showed Anna the baby growing inside her through an ultrasound. As they listened to the baby’s heartbeat, Lucino couldn’t hold back his tears of joy.

“Why are you crying, Lucino? It’s a good thing.”

Anna also looked at Lucino with tears in her eyes.

“I’m so happy. Thank you so much, Anna.”

After receiving some precautions from the doctor, Lucino returned home with a happy heart and couldn’t stop showering Anna with kisses.

Although the pregnancy was unexpected, Anna couldn’t help but wonder if Lucino had secretly desired a baby all along and had been holding back.

“Bella, my love. I consider myself happy because you gave up your life in Korea for me. Coming to a new country where you don’t even know the language and having to learn and adapt to everything anew is not an easy task at all.”

He thought that Anna’s coming to live in Italy was a sacrifice on her part. He thought that he could be this happy thanks to her dedication and love.

So Lucino wanted to grant Anna everything she wanted.

“Thank you for going through all this trouble and marrying me.”

“No. I also came because I wanted to live with Lucino…”

“When I see that you decided to come and live in Italy, I feel every moment how much you love me. I will never disappoint you in the future and I will do better.”

Lucino did not stop kissing Anna.

And he kissed her stomach too. Even though her stomach was still flat, he whispered that he loved the baby inside her.

And he also announced the news of Anna’s pregnancy to his family. Anna’s in-laws were overjoyed and congratulated them.

For Anna, who suffered from morning sickness every day, Lucino brought in Korean food and ingredients from Korean restaurants and grocery stores that sold Korean food in Rome.

Strangely enough, smelling or eating kimchi soup would soothe morning sickness, so Anna’s refrigerator never ran out of kimchi soup.

Now her father-in-law, Alexandro, had begun to grow ten radishes in the garden for Anna. The garden, which was full of only flowers and trees, was suddenly turning into a vegetable garden for Anna.

Her mother-in-law, Francesca, even made a loose dress that was comfortable for pregnant women to wear and gave it to pregnant Anna as a gift.

Lucino searched for pregnancy-related information on the internet, read books, bought stretch mark cream from somewhere, and tried to apply it to Anna’s stomach every day.

On hot summer days, Lucino even brought a millstone from Korea to make bean noodles for Anna, who wanted to eat them.

The obstetrician-gynecologist said that learning vocal music was okay as long as it wasn’t excessive, so Anna went to school and learned singing.

Then one day it happened.

Her father-in-law, Alexandro, came to visit Anna. Since it was a non-school day, Anna was resting at home.

Lucino went to work and Anna was the only one in the house. The housekeeper also came early in the morning, finished her work, and left work.

“Welcome, Papa.”

Alexandro was disappointed if she didn’t call him Papa, so Anna called him Papa ever since she got married.

“How are you?”

“Good.”

He was holding something heavy with both hands. Alexandro, with his gray hair, looked a lot like Lucino.

She thought maybe Lucino would look like that when he got older. The two men were rich and very similar.

“I came to give you this, baby.”

“I heard that you get less morning sickness if you eat Korean food, so I just made it…”

He made this early in the morning without going to work, but he didn’t show it to Anna at all.

Alexandro placed two square boxes on the round marble table.

When Anna opened the lid, red seasoned perilla leaf kimchi and green onion kimchi were revealed.

“Wow!”

Anna’s mouth watered at the unique, pungent smell of perilla leaves and green onion kimchi that suddenly wafted through her.

“It sounds really delicious. Papa. This is really, really touching.”

Anna was happy as she gave Alexandro a light hug.

“I don’t know if it will suit your taste well, Anna.”

“The smell alone is enough to kill me. I have to taste it first!”

Alexandro hurried to the kitchen and brought out chopsticks and a small plate.

No matter how light the object was, the family did not allow Anna to lift anything, as if she would be in big trouble if she even lifted a glass cup.

“How is it? Francesca said it was a little salty.”

It was perilla leaf kimchi and green onion kimchi made based on the kimchi made last year.

Anna quickly put the perilla leaf kimchi and green onion kimchi into her mouth and started chewing them. The rich scent of perilla leaves grown in the garden and the bitter yet spicy taste of green onion kimchi filled her mouth.

It literally made her full just like rice. Anna smiled happily at the taste of carbohydrates.

“It’s just right, right? It would be so delicious to eat with rice!”

“I’m glad you ate well, Anna.”

Alexandro smiled broadly. He declined Anna’s offer to eat together and got up.

“Don’t give to Lucino, just eat it yourself.”

Anna burst out laughing.

“Yes, I understand. I’ll eat it sparingly,” Anna replied.

“No, eat a lot. Then I’ll make it again.”

“Yes, I got it. Papa.”

As the months of pregnancy progressed, they naturally discovered the baby’s gender. When they found out it was a girl, Lucino couldn’t contain his joy.

“What should we name her? What’s the most beautiful name? I hope she takes after you, Anna. She would be so beautiful,” Lucino exclaimed.

“Well, let’s take our time to think about the name. We still have plenty of time before she’s born. And I hope she takes after you, Lucino. Because Lucino is a beauty.”

“No, I think she’ll take after you. She’s our daughter, after all. And the beauty belongs to you, not me,” Lucino insisted.

“Shall we make a bet? Who will the baby look like more when it’s born?”

At that moment, Lucino’s expression changed. Playfulness sparkled in his blue eyes.

“What are you betting on?”

Anna reached out and firmly grabbed his thigh, specifically his right thigh where his penis was nestled.

“Let’s bet on this. Just let me lick it once,” she said mischievously.

“No! Nope! You can never do that.”

Lucino still did not allow Anna to perform fellatio. It’s not that Anna didn’t try at some point, but he never allowed her to do anything that would put too much strain on her vocal cords.

It just didn’t tolerate even the slightest bit of sucking or licking.

Instead, he showered Anna with kisses and intensified their affectionate moments, disregarding her request.

“Are you doing that because you’re afraid of losing?”

Anna provoked Lucino.

“I can lose as much as I want to you. I can lose a hundred times more. But this doesn’t work.”

“I heard the baby will look more like Lucino.”

When he freaked out, Anna became even more mischievous.

While she had no intention of forcing him if he genuinely refused, Anna found Lucino’s exaggerated reaction to the mention of fellatio both amusing and entertaining, which led her to tease him frequently.

Then the bell rang.

The person at the door resembled Lucino in appearance but had different eye color and hair. It was Andrea, scheduled to visit, and Anna ceased her teasing of Lucino.

Andrea entered with something in his hands, claiming it was a task from their father. This time, it was a dish of radish kimchi.

Caressing her protruding belly, Anna enjoyed the radish noodles that Lucino prepared, sharing the meal with Andrea.

“Don’t you think Bella has become prettier now that she’s pregnant, Andrea?”

“Yeah, she’s always been beautiful as my sister-in-law, but lately, she seems to shine even more. I feel like I’ll go blind just looking at her, so I always make sure to wear sunglasses when I come here,” Andrea replied.

Anna laughed at Andrea’s joke.

“I have to meet my fate somewhere quickly. I’m so jealous that you two are so happy, I feel jealous and lonely.”

“You should at least go on a trip somewhere. Then maybe you’ll find a wife like Anna.”

“Should I? Which country should I visit?”

“Didn’t you say you were going on a business trip to Russia this time? You never know, you might meet a fairy there and fall in love.”

“I should open my eyes wide and look for it carefully. Don’t let it slip away.”

“Take off your sunglasses, Andrea. Only then can you properly see the halo coming from the fairy.”

Lucino joked to Andrea. Anna smiled happily and enjoyed the cool radish noodles.

It was surprising that all of the food prepared by her father-in-law, Alexandro, suited her taste.

Anna even found herself entertaining whimsical thoughts, wondering if there might be Korean blood flowing in Papa Alexandro.

It was a day of pure joy, and they couldn’t have asked for anything more.
