That Time I Got Reincarnated By Veldanava

All throughout the ball room, Henrik's guests were standing in shock at the sight. No one, with the exception of those in the alliance, had been notified that the Demon Lords would be invited to this party. But even Gazel and Drum never expected them to actually show up.

Shion, Benimaru and Shizu were all standing ready to fight, while Henrik stood face to face with Guy, slightly making himself taller to match the Primordial, not batting an eye so Guy knew Henrik didn't fear him.

"Wait a minute, what are the Demon Lords doing here?" King Grutov, a king of a minor western nation, asked with fear in his voice.

"I knew it, this was all a rouse, this so called alliance is in cohorts with the Demon Lords. They plan to enslave us all."

"Fools, you dare insult our kings honour," Some of the nearby soldiers shouted as the walked towards the accusing nobles, weapons at the ready.

"Enough," Henrik barked and his soldiers slowly backed away, back to their posts. "Yes, I invited the Demon Lords. No, I'm not working with them. And yes, you're enslaved.

This whole world has been for 2000 years. You were all just too stupid to see it.

You nobles, acting better then everyone else with your fancy houses and money. I know most of you here would sell your subjects out to one of them for some money, some of you have knowingly done so, some of you only live the lives you do because your ancestors sold people out.

You're all corrupt scum. You are in my realm, one of our founding laws is no one can be treated better because of the condition of their birth, so don't think your little titles hold any power here. One word and my men cut you down.

The only ones who have earned my respect is Gazel and Drum, the rest of you, I don't trust in the slightest. Especially given most of you work and have agreements with Demon Lord Noelle.

Now, I wish for a world where everyone has a chance to be someone. I will make it a reality. So far, the Demon Lords are the biggest threat to that, but make no mistake, if any of you become an obstacle to that world, I'll treat you the same as them," Henrik said with a cold voice that showed he wasn't joking. They all learned quickly that Henrik did invite them to join him, but also to warn them not to cross him.

"We're a threat? Weird we've been keeping this world around for centuries. Then you come along and want to destroy the balance this world is in..." Guy says before he's interrupted.

"Balance? You mean you walking up to a country and wiping it out because it made a new medicine you deemed to be advanced. You mean manipulating the lives of everyone, and treating them like puppets.

Yes, I'll destroy this so called 'Balance.' And if I have to, I'll destroy you with it. Don't test me Rouge, I'm beyond the average king you've killed before," Henrik said which caused Guy to become slightly cautious around Henrik.

Not only did he terrorise Velzard like it was nothing, he also knows Guy's true name. Something that only the most powerful and old people are aware off. He thought for a moment that maybe Veldanava told him, but what Henrik said next, quickly changed his mind.

"Now, how about I summon Blanc, Noir, Vert and Bleu and make them my subordinates. Maybe I'll give Raine and Misery enough of a power up to beat you."

Now Guy knew it wasn't Veldanava, because Veldanava had a reason to tell him about Guy but not the others.

"You know, you intrigue me for a human. But believe it or not, I didn't come to meet you. I wanted to see if it's true. If he has really returned."

Everyone then heard footsteps approaching Henrik and Guy and quickly turned their attention to the source of the strutting. As soon as he saw this, Dino bowed down to the man who was coming closer.

"It's true Guy, I've returned. It's good to see you young man, I hope you've been treating my sister well."

"It's really you," Guy barely got out in surprise.

"Yes, and we have a lot to talk about. Guy Crimson, the one I charged with protecting the world, I thank you for keeping it alive, but now it is time for change. I hope you can accept this, but I intend to help Henrik build his dream world. And I hope you will..." Veldanava said before Henrik cut him off.

"NO."

"What Henrik?" Veldanava asked.

"Him and Luminous, I won't pursue a fight, but I won't work with them. They are the main two who have treated innocents like cattle and pawns on a chess board. I'm happy to maybe discuss working with the others, but those two are the problem I intend to solve."

"Henrik, I understand where you're coming from, but I am the one who let this happen. I should've been the one to keep the world safe, I should bare some responsibility. How can you work with me but not him?"

"Because you saved me. Because you have him a mission, he is the one who chose to manipulate and destroy. He's not a child, save the two of us, Guy Crimson is the oldest being there is, equal to the angel Feldway who came at the same time.

It's time this monster paid."

"Careful human king, I get you're strong, but so am I. It isn't wise to antagonise me so publicly."

When Guy said this, before he could register it, Shizu appeared before him with her sword to his neck.

"Enough of this. There are children here, and if you two fight, they'll be in danger. Lord Henrik, I understand you wish to prove to everyone that you can handle him should he become a problem, but I cannot allow my students to be put in danger so you two can, pardon my language, have a dick size competition.

So if you wish to fight, I'll just have to do it for you and end it fast."

"It's okay Shizu. Guy won't try anything. After all, he'll have to face an angel of origin if he does."

When Henrik said this, all the Demon Lords turned to Dino who was now standing at Veldanava's right side.

"Dino," Dagruel said, "What are you doing?"

"Sorry Dagruel, but both Ramiris and his majesty have sided with this human king. Ramiris may say she's spying on him, but we all know he's earned her trust, so that proves he's a good guy.

I joined the Demon Lords because I believed at the time it is what Lord Veldanava would've wanted. Now, I know what he wants. He wants this humans dream to become reality, and as long as that's the case. I will become an instrument to see it done. I hereby relinquish my title of Demon Lord and announce that I will become a subordinate of King Henrik, so long as his interests align with my lords."

This shook everyone in the room, but not as much as what happened next.

"As do I," Leon said as he walked away from the Demon Lords.

"Not become his subordinate, but I relinquish my title of Demon Lord."

"Why?" Guy asked.

"I have my reasons," Leon says and Henrik knows it's because he noticed Chloe and Shizu when he came in.

"Main one being because this woman here is with him," Leon says, pointing at Shizu, "It's been a while, Shizu. I have a lot to repay you for, and to apologise for. So I'll start with this. Should The Great Lazek Kingdom be in need of aid, El Dorado will be there."

It's true that Leon regretted everything that happened with Shizu, but not enough to do this. In truth, he's loyalty never belonged to the Demon Lords, only to Chloe. Just as Henrik planned. Having Veldanava and Chloe instantly meant two Demon Lords would side with him, and with some work, more will flock to his side.

"Very well," Guy said unbothered. "You two are no longer with us. Henrik Lazek, you have left me with no other choice. As King Of the Ice Continent, I declare war on you. Poaching our members and threatening us, did you think having Veldanava would be enough to avoid this.

Since this is your party, I'll just leave without a fight if you're prepared to do that. But in four months, my forces will march at full power on your land, and we will win."

Shizu looked at Henrik to see if she should finish Guy here and now, but Henrik knew killing a Primordial is impossible, and he wanted to keep diplomacy alive despite the recent declaration of war.

"Let him go Shizu. Guy Crimson, Primordial Red. Consider this a warning, on the eve of war.

I am King Henrik Lazek. I, am what stands between you and humanity. I will meet you on the battlefield and I will end this war on the first day. I may not be able to fully kill you, but I'll make sure you may never control anyone again. If you wish to surrender early in the next four months, I will accept your surrender, at the expense of half your land, and you relinquishing the title of Demon Lord.

Now begone from my lands," Henrik ordered as he raised his head slightly and sent all the remaining Demon Lords back through the portal that was still opened, and forced the portal to close itself.

"So it seems we're at war," Gazel said, disappointed at Henrik.

"You knew we would be, I wanted to not have to fight, but we both know Guy Crimson is too prideful to not fight.

Everyone," Henrik said addressing the nobles and royals in the room.

"I don't like most of you, but the alliance is your one hope of freeing yourselves from their control. I will handle this war on my own, I implore you to join so you can benefit from the numerous agreements of the alliance."

After this, there was a massive explosion from outside Camelot that everyone could hear as if it was right next to them. Henrik looked over to Souei who gave him a nod.

"Finally, I was hoping the timing would be this perfect."

"What's that?" Drum asks.

"That, is Charybdis, don't worry, I've got this.""

"Henrik, when this is over, we need to talk," Veldanava said in a serious tone.

"Fine," Henrik said before he launched himself into the air and flew towards Charybdis. Given he knew it would return today, Henrik had the surrounding area evacuated and placed multiple barriers around the place. The only things that could pass through them was himself and Souei's clones.

As Henrik hovered in the air, he could sense the large, mindless beast release its untamed power. If it wasn't for the barriers, there's no doubt most inhabitants would fall to the immense pressure and die.

"CHARYBDIS, I am Henrik. I thank you for being the example which proves my power, the power to combat even a Demon Lord. I promise, my nation will remember your name, for this is the day that The Demon Lords reign of terror ends."

Since it wasn't a sentient being and instead just a being urged by the desire to destroy, it didn't react in any way and moved towards Henrik as it could sense his power. Henrik reached out his hand and a dark, black hole like energy left his hand and formed the shape of a sword before going back into him.

'Raphael, it's time. Will my plan for world peace work?'

[Confirmed. If everything goes as planned, within two years, peace will be achieved in this world]

Henrik was pleased with the answer, although it wasn't obvious at the time, having two Demon Lords join him, or at least leave the group, would have a domino effect that would lead to the end of the Demon Lords. Now he just had to show the world that he has the power to back up his words.

As Charybdis drew near, it unleashed the spell [Ice Blizzard] on Henrik.

As the blizzard neared Henrik, he didn't move in the slightest as [Multidimensional Barrier] completely protected him. While the blizzard was moving however, Charybdis used [Summon Monster] to conjure a bunch of Megalodons that all charged at Henrik while he wasn't moving.

The monsters tried to bit and bash into him, but [Physical Attack Nullification] and [Pain Nullification] rendered their attempts useless.

While all this was happening, back in the castle ball room, the guests were watching from magical screens that Henrik made by refracting light to show them what was happening more clearly.

"King Gazel," A duke from the same nation of King Grutov spoke up. "Rumours say this man saved your kingdom. Wiped out legions of monsters in a moment. Is that true?"

"Yes," Gazel answered stoically, "Henrik saw that my nation was in trouble, and without expecting anything except a few drinks for some friends and himself, he saved it. I honestly could've done it easily enough, but the attack from our mine was so sudden that I never would've made it in time.

I know he spoke to you all like an enemy before, but it's just who he is. He wants to make a world that's much better than the one we live in. Sure, the Demon Lords are the biggest obstacle to his objective, but that doesn't mean the superiority of nobility is any less a problem.

You can not join the alliance, he won't force you. But if you become a threat to the freedoms that nations in our alliance will enjoy, it'll make the end of your time. After all, this is one man whose wrath I wouldn't wish on even the Lord Of Darkness."

Back to the fight, Henrik still hadn't moved a muscle as the Megalodons kept barraging him with attack and Charybdis was summoning more every second.

"I must admit, I didn't think you'd actually be this powerful. I know you have a fraction of Veldora's power, but still. This is beyond what I could've expected. Still, this is nothing compared to me."

With Henrik's voice turning cold and distant, it became clear that if Charybdis was capable of emotion, all it would feel is terror.

"This in my hand is Excalibur 2.0. A God grade weapon that I forged with everything I had. It is truly a masterpiece. If I was like Veldanava, I'd seal you away and hope you one day can join us, but, I'm not naive enough to think that can happen. Charybdis, goodbye."

With that, Henrik raised his sword and brought it down, what followed was a slash that instantly killed all the megalodons around him and cut Charybdis in two.

The slash was so forceful that it would've carried on for miles if not for the barriers which now didn't exist.

In the ball room, all the guests were stunned and even Veldanava was, although his reaction was more to do with how heartless Henrik spoke rather than surprise of Henrik winning.

Throughout the forest, those who were close but not evacuated could see the fight, more of a slaughter really, and began cheering that their leader was so powerful.

As Henrik turned to leave, he returned Excalibur 2.0 to [Imaginary Space] and flew away, however, a moment later, Henrik could hear a roar. When he turned back, he saw that Charybdis has regenerated itself.

"Of course, I completely forgot you had [Ultraspeed Regeneration]. I can't remember everyone's skills, definitely not some one appearance monster. Guess I'll just have to destroy you completely," Henrik said as he imbued his broken fist with [Imaginary Collapse].

Before he could move though, he heard a childlike girl voice from behind Charybdis.

"Drago Buster."

Suddenly, a bunch of bright blue beams appeared behind Charybdis and hit it's body directly. Once they did, a massive explosion occurred which completely erased Charybdis and sent parts of its body over the area.

"Devour all Beelzebuth," Henrik shouted as he absorbed all of the remains since he knew how dangerous even one part of the beast is.

After it exploded, Henrik saw the body of a small goblin fall from within it. "This must've been its host," Henrik thought. He nodded at a nearby Souei clone who jumped to catch the goblin and take it to safety.

After this, Henrik looked straight ahead and saw exactly who he thought killed Charybdis, 'The Destroyer.' Milim Nava.

So, I wanted to just clarify something. I previously said that volume two would be about The Great Lazek Kingdom's rise. That's still the case. 3 will be dealing with Noelle. And then 4 will be the war with the Ice Continent.
