The Archetype | Rimuru Tempest x TBATE

This section will serve to explain the following changes to the canon characters in order to address misconceptions from here on out. A little bit of headcanon is implemented due to my tastes.

Rimuru Tempest here will have inherited Veldora the Storm Dragon's draconic will, turning the slime into a majin called "Archetype." In this way, any form is a default form as Rimuru is a spiritual lifeform who has history as a slime—and that means having been a slime once suggests that his form is elusive and ever-changing. That's why any form assumed is a default form, and most—if not all—the time in this story, Rimuru will be in human form.

I've made some changes to his past. For one, he has the background of a very skilled combat agent in his past life. This makes him somewhat exceptional in combat skills—whether with a weapon or with hand-to-hand combat.

His eyes will be permanently red in color like when Great Sage or Raphael takes control of his body as shown in the anime. Furthermore, rather than appearing like a kid as a True Demon Lord, he'll appear like a fifteen-year-old in both height and vibe. Of course, he's still androgynous-looking.

And I also made some changes in his personality.

For those who know, Volume 1 and 2 Rimuru was kind of ruthless and edgy. I remember reading about him not hesitating to kill any would-be traitors under his rule, and I also remember that he wouldn't feel a bit of remorse from it. In his light novel fight with the Orc Lord, Rimuru is also seen to be susceptible to his monstrous and bestial instincts—like when he smiled maniacally at the thought of a very good and exhilarating fight. I don't know why Fuze didn't make it consistent. To make things easier, let's just say his personality is an amalgamation of Rimuru's default personality along with Gabimaru the Hollow from Hell's Paradise.

I made some changes in his skills—especially intrinsic skills. But the most important ones remain mostly unchanged, but if an unfamiliar skill is mentioned, it will be soon-after be explained.

"———" means change in scenes or timeskips.

"◇◇◇" means change in POV.

Italic means a character's thoughts, monologue, or is an emphasized word.

"Happy new year." Quoted sentences mean dialogue.

<> means Raphael's dialogue.

<> means the World Language's dialogue.
