Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Rias stood on her feet, looking around to see her surroundings. Walking out of the hospital that her family owned, Rias Gremory slowly began making her way to her home. Her peerage were still being treated, especially Akeno and Koneko, the brutal mess that they were retrieved as said it all. It would take a long time for them to properly heal, but Rias was determined that once they were healed, her entire peerage, including her, would try and train more seriously.
Rias tried to be a King during their fight against Kokabiel, trying to make plans in bringing him down, or the very least stall him out, but that didn't go as planned. She was left broken, realizing that she was just a joke in front of the Cadre. Not only that, but to make matters worst for her pride, she watched as the very being that annihilated her was incinerated within seconds of another.
That very battle had opened her eyes even further... she knew that beings like her brother were far out of her range, but she didn't expect it to be to this scale to the point where they could play with her very being with a small slither of their power. Shaking her head, she looked around to see many devils roaming the area, she had been in contact with her brother, it was said that there was a peace meeting that will be happening soon. The factions were finally establishing peace for the first time.
"I wonder... is that man with the flames going to be there?" Rias couldn't get that man out of her head. She was always curious to what her hero could look like... maybe a little bit of handsome, mature, and some muscles to complement his body... she could only fantasize.
"Rias, my dear!" Turning her head, she was met with her mother running towards her in her usual attire. Once reaching her, Venelana could only grab her daughter and bring her into a soul-crushing hug. Rias began gasping for air but her mother didn't notice, she continued hugging her to her heart's content.
She was the youngest sibling, the one that would frequently find herself in trouble. This would bring her to be treated like a child at all times by others, especially her mother. "Mother... let... go!"
Venelana heard the request and chose to ignore it. "Do you know how worried your father and I were? When we heard that your entire peerage was utterly annihilated by a Cadre, we couldn't help but try and rush to you. We tried to emotionally help you, mentally even, but Sirzechs told us to remain calm and let you heal a little." She finally let go to show her puffy, red eyes staring right into her daughter's sapphire-blue eyes. "What were you thinking when taking on a Cadre Class being?"
She wasn't happy... "I needed to! Someone needed to. He was going to kill everyone... the innocent humans, my peerage, and my friends. Someone needed to stall him out."
"Rias, you weren't going to stall him out. If you had said the wrong thing to him, he would have ended your existence in seconds. You should have retreated back a little and worry a little bit more about yourself." Venelana said before wiping away the tears that were beginning to stream down her beautiful face. "Well, everything that has happened. We can't fret much about it. Come on, we have to bring you towards your father."
With that, Rias's day had just begun.
While Rias was having a great time, Issei could be seen sitting down on top of a mountain, staring into the black sky filled with stars. Light pollution was reaching this secluded area, the humans haven't industrialized this area yet. He always had one question on his mind... when will the other factions know of his existence? Not as the supernatural serial killer, but as the Red Dragon Emperor? This brings us to what Azazel had stated before, he was going to inform Sirzechs of the Red Dragon's presence.
"Sirzechs, you must know..." Through a communication circle, Sirzechs and Azazel were seated in their respective households. "The being that was most likely to be behind saving your sister and killing off Kokabiel was none other than the Red Dragon Emperor."
Sirzechs widened his eyes before asking, "Wait, the Red Dragon has already reached the level of the Cadre Class beings?"
"No, from the looks of it, The Red Dragon Emperor somehow has unlocked the very flames of Ddraig himself. The ones that can turn the Gods themselves into ashes." Azazel stated before there was a moment of silence for the both of them.
"Wait, if he saved us from going to war, do you think that he could be brought into peace with the other factions? He hasn't shown us anything that could possibly hint that he opposes us." Sirzechs asked Azazel.
"I wish I could say an easy answer that can satisfy both of us, but it won't be that easy. I know the very boy that is the Red Dragon Emperor. However, I won't be saying who it is to make sure that he doesn't hate us even more. Currently, my faction is probably the one that he dislikes the most, especially after what one of my rogue members did to him." Azazel said sorrowfully, still remembering the hatred in Issei's eyes when he first met him. He still doesn't know how much of a wild card Issei was, but he was still a child that needed some guidance.
Sirzechs raised a brow in confusion, "Do you think that he is a threat to us?"
"I don't know but I wouldn't take the chances. If you see the Red Dragon Emperor, raise your guard and make sure you're in good condition to protect yourself if he were to go on a rampage."
Sirzechs nodded, "I understand. Do you think if the time came, the White Dragon Emperor could take down the Red?"
Azazel stopped for a second before saying, "At the rate at which the two are growing, the Red will be on a whole different level compared to the White if he has already obtained the flames of Ddraig this early on."
Saying their goodbyes to think of what was said, Sirzechs laid back in his chair and stared at the ceiling. Many thoughts were going through his head, the Red Dragon Emperor was the very being that had saved his sister. Seeing as though Azazel suggests that he should be cautious of meeting the Red Dragon, he'll keep this information away from his sister for now. Sirzechs was a person was someone that had always respected his elders, Azazel was one of those very beings that he had respected. Being many years older and wiser than the Ultimate Devil, Sirzechs could somewhat trust Azazel's judgment, especially when they have become such good friends, especially drinking buddies.
That was when the door to his room was opened revealing his wife walking into the room with her usual maid attire. She looked to see her husband looking up at the ceiling, remaining unfazed by her appearance. "Dear..." She softly started before noticing that her husband had finally broken his train of thought and quickly stare at her. "I've sent Millicus to bed. What has gotten you so worried?"
His wife was someone that he loved. She was someone that stood alongside him and always took care of him. Sighing before opening his mouth to speak, she needed to know this, "The Red Dragon has appeared and we don't know if he affiliates with peace or opposes it." The sudden news hit Grayfia and caused her to lose her usual stoic demeanor and be sent into a world of shock. "Not only that, but the power that he poses is definitely deity level threat."
"So, what should we do about him?"
"We should remain on guard but do not provoke such beings. Even if I could eliminate this being, the casualties will be immense to the point where it might take years upon years to recover from what he might do. That's all I can say for now." Grayfia could only remain a little bit worried. First, it was the news of the third Super Devil escaping the Devil Civil War to now another threat wandering around the world. "I know you're worried but the Red Dragon will never get you or Millicus."
"How do you know that? What if-"
"Because I am here." In one swift motion, he appeared next to his wife and hugged her. "He will never harm you if I am still live."
Grayfia could feel a little better about the situation. She may have this stoic expression making her seem cold, but in reality, she was a gentle mother that wanted nothing more than the best for her son and husband.
This brings us to another being that has been following Issei's trail. A being that could bring the very Gods to their knees, a being that even the highest Gods would question before facing in fear of the consequences that will take place. With his majestic black scales glowing with the radiance of the moon combined with the golden aura covering his body, Crom could only laugh heartily upon seeing the annihilation that the newest Evil Dragon had caused to the terrain again.
"He seems to love killing off the environment. Doesn't seem that eco-friendly to me." Telling himself a joke to keep himself somewhat entertained was the level of desperation he was falling into to find something entertaining. Being a dragon, an evil dragon to be more precise, and living for countless eons, he had reached a level of boredom that no human could understand. When he sensed the birth of a new Evil Dragon, that very same boredom had resided, and a new form of amusement had rekindled.
Looking down to see the countless burnt black feathers that belonged to many Fallen Angels, Crom could only smile wickedly before rushing off in another direction. "Not only that but the newest hatchling seems to love causing mayhem on the Fallen Angels. Already a plus in my book."
The time for the two monsters to meet each other was coming soon...
