Chapter 7: 07
Through the haze of magical exhaustion, I felt it — a massive surge of power that made the hospital's wards shudder. The system's interface flickered rapidly:
[DETECTING MULTIPLE HIGH-LEVEL MAGICAL SIGNATURES]
[LOCATION: DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES - DEATH CHAMBER]
[WARNING: TEMPORAL ANOMALIES DETECTED]
I tried to focus, to see through the magical sensitivity the system had granted me. The Ministry was a kaleidoscope of spells and power, but certain signatures stood out — Dumbledore's blinding white light, Voldemort's twisted darkness, and something else... something that felt eerily familiar.
[ANALYZING UNKNOWN MAGICAL SIGNATURE]
[MATCH FOUND: SYSTEM ENERGY PATTERNS - 87% CORRELATION]
[CRITICAL ALERT: TEMPORAL STABILITY COMPROMISED]
The door burst open. Lily stood there, her face pale. "Ramon, something's wrong. Harry—"
Before she could finish, my nephew started crying from his carrier. But this wasn't a normal baby's cry — it was filled with a resonance that made my magical sensitivity scream in warning.
[DETECTING SYSTEM INTERFACE ACTIVATION: HARRY POTTER]
[ERROR: UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS DETECTED]
[TIMELINE CORRUPTION SPREADING]
"He's been like this since the fighting started," Lily said, rushing to Harry's side. "It's like he can feel what's happening at the Ministry."
I forced myself to sit up, ignoring the protest from my depleted magical core. "Lily, let me see him."
When she brought Harry closer, I saw it — a faint blue glow in his eyes, almost identical to the system's interface color.
[ALERT: SECOND SYSTEM DETECTED]
[WARNING: MULTIPLE SYSTEM INTERFERENCE POSSIBLE]
[ACCESSING HIDDEN PROTOCOLS...]
"It's okay, pequeño," I whispered, touching Harry's forehead where the scar would never be. The moment our skin made contact, the system exploded with information:
[CONNECTING TO AUXILIARY SYSTEM...]
[ACCESS GRANTED: VIEWING MINISTRY OF MYSTERIES]
Suddenly, I could see through Harry's eyes — or rather, through whatever connection he had to the events unfolding at the Ministry. The Death Chamber was a battlefield. Severus and Arabella fought back-to-back against masked Death Eaters. Dumbledore dueled Voldemort around the ancient stone arch that dominated the room. And near them...
"No," I gasped.
A figure stood in the shadows, watching the chaos. They wore robes that seemed to shift between colors, and their eyes glowed with the same blue light as the system's interface.
[IDENTITY CONFIRMED: SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR]
[WARNING: DIRECT INTERVENTION DETECTED]
[PROTOCOL VIOLATION IN PROGRESS]
"Ramon?" Lily's voice seemed distant. "What's happening?"
The shadowy figure turned, looking directly at me through Harry's vision. Their lips moved, forming words I couldn't hear but somehow understood:
"You've changed too much, Uncle. The timeline must be preserved."
[EMERGENCY PROTOCOL INITIATED]
[DETECTING TEMPORAL RECONSTRUCTION ATTEMPT]
[COUNTDOWN TO TIMELINE RESET: 00:59:59]
"Like hell," I growled, pulling myself out of bed despite the searing pain of movement. "Lily, I need you to trust me. We have to get to the Ministry now."
"You can barely stand!"
"Doesn't matter. If we don't stop what's happening there..." I looked at Harry, who had stopped crying and was watching me with those glowing blue eyes. "Everything we saved might unravel."
[MAGICAL CORE STATUS: 14% - CRITICAL]
[WARNING: FURTHER EXERTION MAY CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE]
[SUGGESTION: ACCESS EMERGENCY POWER RESERVES?]
"System," I whispered, "do it."
[EMERGENCY RESERVES ACTIVATED]
[TEMPORARY POWER BOOST ENGAGED]
[NOTIFICATION: THIS MAY KILL YOU]
Golden light surged through my body, burning away the weakness. I stood straighter, magic crackling around me like lightning.
"Lily," I said, my voice steady, "get James and Sirius. Tell them to meet us at the Ministry." I picked up my wand from the bedside table. "It's time to find out who's really behind all of this."
[MISSION UPDATE: CONFRONT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR]
[OBJECTIVE: PREVENT TIMELINE RESET]
[GOOD LUCK, UNCLE. YOU'RE GOING TO NEED IT.]
