Resolution
Luna leaving from my core room returns to her siblings to in pack and to talk to them about the trip and what she plans to do.
She unpacks the food and cookware, organizing it with the stockpile that they have already started to accumulate while she tells them.
Luna, “I met mom on the way to the village, she’s the one that was bringing the supplies but she passed it off to me so she could go back to the village.
Although she was happy that I was okay, she wants me to keep going back to transport supplies.
Even though I won’t have to go into the village for the supplies I don’t think I will be going back there anymore.”
Rocky, “That’s alright sis I can go get the supplies for you! You don’t have to worry about it anymore.”
Luna looks touched by her brother’s words but she shakes her head and explains her opinions.
Luna, “I don’t plan on using their supplies, we are actually doing a lot better than I had originally thought or even hoped for and I will admit that I am actually really upset that nobody has come up here to check on us.
After how my conversation with mom went I don’t think she would have come as far this way had they not thought that I might be dead, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she would have just taken the two of you to the camp hidden in the woods near the base of this mountain instead of staying here.
She informed me that the person who was going to join me coming back to our camp decided to go to one of the other campsite’s when I disappeared, and other plans seemed to have been changed because of the uproar my disappearance caused.
So I feel like they have made me out to be the cause of a problem and I just don’t want to let it go! If you want to go back and get supplies then get the rest of our clothes and blankets but don’t take their food unless it’s something that we brought here fresh because I think the dungeon might want to absorb something new like it has been doing so far.”
She pointed out the berry bushes that I have been growing and the spots that I have started growing some of the other things that they have brought back to eat.
Rocky doesn’t seem to fully understand but he doesn’t argue.
Rocky, “Okay sis I think I understand, I think I will wait for a couple days before going to get our stuff, and I will remove the preserved foodstuffs for others to take.”
Misty, “Sis I want to help more so we don’t have to go back and mom and dad will come here instead, so umm, would you mind teaching me how to make baskets like the one you made for the nuts?”
Luna smiles at both her little sister’s initiative as well as her brother’s effort to be responsible and help wherever possible.
Luna grabs them both up into a hug and thanks them both generously.
They then take the rest of the luggage to the other room and organize the clothes before she takes the new hide bedding to the room that I had made for her, laying it out and putting her own clothes together to act as a pillow.
Luna smiled at my core from her position on her bedding and I can’t help feeling touched, I wonder if I really wanted her closer to me the whole time?
I want to do more for her and I feel impatient to try and hurry my recovery along so that I can help make their living arrangements in my dungeon will out do that lousy village!
Before she got up I used the soft clay floor under her bedding to make it sink and mold to her a bit gently, I had even made the layer of clay extra thick as it’s as thick as her arms can reach, so having it sink some didn’t make it loose it’s softness rather it just made it match her body shape.
She giggles and she runs her hand along the clay I had just manipulated.
Luna, “I scan only guess what you are meaning and do, but I will let you know I feel like it is comforting and I appreciate the attention.”
She gets up and heads back out and decides to teach both her siblings how to weave a basket since they have enough vines for them each to do one and although there isn’t enough daylight left to finish they can still get them done by the firelight.
I watched them nearly the entire time only checking up on the plants and their progress when they seemed to all be continuing to weave without the need of guidance or correction.
Some of the plants that take longer to grow like the bushes and vines have shown a good amount of progress and although they are not done growing they should reach maturity soon enough.
All of the salveaid plants have finished maturing including the ones that I had planted after Luna and her siblings had arrived, on the other hand the glow moss seems to have a ways to go before it can produce any significant amounts of light for the second dungeon room, as it has sprouted but hasn’t started to glow yet.
I was thinking about closing the extra tunnel to my core room but since the second dungeon room still needs the light it gets from my core I will have to leave it be for now.
They finished their baskets and get started with preparing dinner Rocky starts reheating the soup for the last time while Misty gets started on organizing the food into the newly made baskets, root vegetables in one basket, fruit in another basket and leafy greens in the last one, everything else stays in the places they were originally.
Luna starts the process of skinning the rabbits and impressively does an exceptionally good job as the made the minimal cuts and pulls the fur off the rest of the rabbit until it is completely flipped inside out and detaches from the rabbit.
She continues with draining the blood and removing its innards while I helped disposing them by absorbing them.
Luna finished up by deboning the rabbit meat and putting it in the skillet with a whole onion and garlic cloves before adding the lid and putting the skillet just close enough to the fire that it will make the onion and garlic to release their juices.
By the time Luna finishes preparing the rabbits the soup is done reheating the Rocky has filled everyone’s bowls.
They wash up with a damp cloth before they start eating, and they polish of the last of the soup with seconds before using the empty pot to hold the dirty dishes that their plan to wash by the river in the morning.
