The Crazy Adventures of Kevin

CHAPTER EIGHT: CURSE YOU, KHAN!

CHAPTER EIGHT: CURSE YOU, KHAN!

Fate smiled at her opponent as she awaited his next move. The inmates took seats and made themselves comfortable for the match. Only Kevin's heart was beating so fast it felt almost out of his chest. He couldn't believe he saw someone stronger than Vilgax imprisoned in the same place as him. All this time, he had believed in his strength, not a bad thing at the time since he thought with a little effort, he could take on Khan if betrayed. The fact that he never took the giantess known as 'Fate' seriously brought newfound fear and acknowledgment in him.

For the first time, Kevin felt so out of place. It wasn't fair. He had been in the same holding as those two monsters. He quickly turned to the inmates who casually made themselves at home, looking for sweet spots to rest and watch the match between Khan and Fate. Kevin's eyes grew wide at that sight! The inmates he lived with were by no means weak; they all posed a threat to entire sovereigns by their strengths, influence, or wits. But he wondered why they weren't running away to save their lives; he wondered if they had just seen what he saw. Kevin began to take steps back into the corridor above the field.

Khan saw this and nodded to Kevin. Kevin's heart almost sank after he saw that and went ahead with the plan. "Is that your minion? I remember when he tried to challenge me to an arm wrestle. I pitied him because he looked too cute to die, and I didn't want to be transferred to a different place while you were still here," Fate said without turning back to see Kevin retreating into the corridor that led to other levels in the holding.

"Anyway, at least he's smarter than the rest. Let me clear the battlefield before we start," Fate said and was about to turn but was stopped by Khan, who grabbed her at her feet, halting her movement. He looked like a baby trying to get the attention of his mother if one were to compare their size. His aura leaked coldness as he looked up at Fate. "I said I will kill all of you. And that includes them, so stay out of this," Khan growled. Some inmates began to realize the danger Khan and Fate posed, and some moved away stealthily with their alien characteristics.

"Hmph. Don't waste my time playing with ants. Be quick!" Fate ordered Khan as she grew impatient. She wanted to use her axe and end it all, but she wondered if there was something valuable here that Khan didn't want to destroy as she complied with his request. There were times her opponents requested to be with their families or lovers one last time before they dueled, so she accepted Khan's request. Just one swing of her axe was enough, but she waited.

"Hello, maggots! Any last words? Remember those times I would tell you all to keep the noise down, and you would laugh it off and disturb my sleep? Well, it's time to say goodnight!" Khan bellowed as he charged forward swiftly and started taking heads and hearts one by one in his wake.

The inmates couldn't believe that Khan was capable of such speed and began to see his arrogant statements as prophecies that would come to pass, one they were currently witnessing. Some managed to get to the corridor high above the field with their bodies' capabilities to join Kevin in his retreat. Others roared and charged at Khan with tentacle, claw, gas, water, spike, and fire attacks with varied techniques. Khan simply blitzed through wave after wave of inmates.

Khan would drop the heads and hearts in neat piles and would continue his slow slaughter. Some inmates regenerated their heads and hearts in seconds, but Khan resorted to vaporizing them to atoms with energy blasts that he shot out of his palms. He would sometimes have to collect ten or more hearts from some inmates since their biological makeup was different. His strength was so immense that he could pierce any skin no matter how tough they were, so his collection of bodily parts was akin to spreading butter on bread.

Khan finished the inmates in the field in less than a minute as he wound up in the corridor with no effort at all and collected heads and hearts as he passed each inmate before they could reach and secure an elevator or teleportation pod. Khan then landed on the field and dropped his new collection on the neat pile he made earlier. The guardian automatons were designed to observe and transmit data of any being that they couldn't defeat with conventional means since their data on beings like Khan and Fate would be helpful to the clueless plumbers who didn't know what they had put in their prison dimension. So the automatons remained still throughout the whole slaughter even when some of the inmates ran to them and begged them to take them back to their cells.

"Took you long enough," Fate said with all her arms folded as her axe simply floated. Khan walked toward her drenched in different colours of blood and suddenly elevated to meet her at eye level.

"You are full of surprises, Khan," Fate remarked as she watched Khan float in the air.

"You talk too much," Khan said as he flew past her head, grabbed her hair, and lifted her above the ground. Fate's two pairs of eyes widened in surprise, but she sent one of her arms to reach for Khan. Khan then increased his speed and flew towards her axe. He was planning to end the match quickly and behead Fate with her weapon!

Fate saw this and blew a gust of wind from her mouth that made the axe fly outside the dome that contained the field, breaking another wall in its wake. Khan then flew to Fate's hand that was stretched out and flew in a loop around it and flew around her remaining arms until he tied them with her hair. Fate had a shocked expression as she found herself bound by her hair.

Before she could think of using her legs to fend off the tiny white and black blur that zoomed in front of her, she felt a sharp pain in her gut and was sent flying out of the dome for recreational activities. She kept breaking walls, and some of those walls were made of infinitum! She continued in this fashion until she found herself outside the facility, which featured a dark red atmosphere and numerous thunderstorms that didn't seem to stop and radiated danger that could even move someone with a lot of mass like her.

"KHAN! CURSE YOU!"
