Chapter 372: Chapter 370: Erina Is So Cute When She Runs
Erina's cheeks turned a soft shade of pink as she stood alone, feeling a bit too shy to approach the group.
"Erina, come on over! Why so shy?" Sui called out to her, unable to resist teasing.
"I'm coming," Erina mumbled softly, her face flushing even more as she reluctantly walked over.
Seeing her dressed in sportswear, Sui's eyes brightened.
Erina's regal air remained unchanged, but today she looked especially youthful in her white sports uniform, her long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail. Her fair, snow-white skin gave her an aura of purity and nobility, while the strands of hair falling around her cheeks added a touch of playfulness.
Her long, shapely legs, round and smooth, were particularly eye-catching.
"Isn't that Miss Erina?" one student nearby whispered.
"Yeah, we don't often get to see her in sportswear. She's gorgeous!" another student added.
"She really is," someone else agreed, their gaze lingering on her.
Erina blushed deeper, clearly flustered by the attention.
"You look amazing, Erina," Sui complimented her, glancing her up and down.
"R-Really?" Erina stammered, feeling a flutter of happiness despite her embarrassment.
"Erina, want some strawberries?" a voice suddenly called out. It was Alice, holding a plate of freshly washed strawberries and eating them as she waved over.
"Strawberries? Count me in!" Sōma grinned, walking over to grab one.
"Thanks for the treat," Megumi smiled as she took one as well.
"Straw... strawberries?" Erina froze as the word triggered memories from a few days ago. The strange taste that lingered on her tongue flashed back, and her cheeks grew even redder.
She had never tasted anything quite so peculiar in her life.
Everyone stared in confusion as Erina stood there, her face flushed and troubled.
"Erina, don't you want some strawberries?" Alice asked, popping one into her mouth.
"I-I'm fine. You all go ahead," Erina whispered, avoiding eye contact.
"You're acting really strange, Erina," Sui said with a sigh.
Erina shot him a glare, gritting her teeth in frustration. 'It's all because of you!' she thought bitterly.
At that moment, Momo appeared, after being dragged out by Rindō.
Dressed in her sports uniform, Momo looked comically small, resembling an elementary school student.
"Let me go! I don't want to participate in this event!" Momo whined, clutching her teddy bear and pouting.
"Momo-senpai, why are you acting like such a child?" Sui teased with a smirk.
Momo's red eyes narrowed in anger as she shouted, "You're so mean, Suipu!"
"What did you call me?" Sui playfully tapped her forehead, the sound crisp and clear.
"Ow! Sui, that hurt!" Momo yelped, rubbing her forehead.
Sui couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction. Teasing Momo was always amusing.
"What a lively sports meet," Gin Dojima commented, watching the scene with amusement. "Commander, why did you decide to have all of the Elite Ten participate?"
"As chefs, maintaining physical fitness is essential. I wanted them to take this opportunity to realize that," Senzaemon replied calmly. Despite being in his seventies, he maintained a strong, youthful physique through regular exercise.
Dojima, also a fitness enthusiast, nodded in agreement.
He then walked down to address the students. "The sports meet is about to begin. Everyone, please get ready."
"This whole thing is so boring," Eizan complained. "Don't they know how busy I am?"
"It was my idea, along with the Commander's," Dojima replied with a smile. "On such a sunny day, I thought it would be a good chance to let everyone experience the joy of sports and strengthen the bond between the Elite Ten."
"So, it was you two fitness fanatics... No wonder," Nene muttered under her breath.
"Tch. Just because you like sports doesn't mean everyone else does," Eizan grumbled, clearly unimpressed.
"I don't want to be here! I want to go home!" Momo cried, clinging to her teddy bear like a child, but Rindō quickly pulled her back.
Soon, the women's 100-meter sprint was set to begin.
Erina had signed up for the event, as the rules required that all elite ten students participate in at least one sport.
She stood at the starting line alongside Megumi, Ryoko, and other girls. To everyone's surprise, Momo had signed up as well—likely because running would allow her to finish quickly.
Sui, Sōma, and the others stood on the sidelines, cheering for their friends.
"Miss Erina, Megumi, do your best!" Soma called out.
"Ah, r-right!" Megumi nodded quickly, trying to steady her nerves.
"Erina, give it your all! I'll be taking pictures!" Leonora said cheerfully, holding up a camera.
"Camera!?" Erina gasped in horror. The thought of being photographed while running made her feel even more self-conscious.
The playground was abuzz with excitement as many students cheered for the girls. Erina, being especially popular, received an overwhelming amount of support.
Her face flushed from the attention, but when she saw Sui watching, she steeled herself. 'I can't let myself look foolish!'
When the starting gun fired, the race began.
"I didn't expect her to be so fast!" Erina thought as she watched Megumi dash forward. She hadn't anticipated Megumi, usually so timid, to be such a strong runner.
'I can't lose!' Erina urged herself, picking up speed and quickly overtaking Megumi.
"Erina seems really fired up today," Leonora commented with a smile.
"Yeah, I didn't know she had this in her," Sui chuckled. It was the first time he had seen Erina run, and she looked incredibly cute with her flushed cheeks, her long, slender legs in motion, and her bouncing chest keeping pace with her strides.
