The Emerald at Hogwarts

Chapter 8 The Journey Begins

In the blink of an eye, the date came to August 31st. During this holiday, Ada had a very fulfilling life.Every day I am either reading a book or waving my magic wand to practice magic spells, working hard like a bee flying among the flowers. The progress bar and proficiency level that were originally 0 have been greatly improved, and you will be rewarded for your efforts.

The bright moon hangs far away in the sky, Ada's room is still bright, and she is packing her things. She put books and telescopes and other equipment in the same box, but her clothes were not neatly packed away.Ada took out the clothes in the closet and picked out a few clothes to take to school.

Boom!Boom!Boom!

"Ada. Are you still packing your things?" It was Mrs. Mary, the person in charge of the orphanage, who came in.

"Yes, ma'am." Ada replied, putting down the clothes in her hands, "I'm going to school soon. I should have packed it up earlier."

Mrs. Mary was a little worried because the little girl in front of her was going to study and live in a boarding school that she had never heard of.Lady Mary looked at the clothes Ada picked out on the bed and asked, "Are these clothes you picked out to take away?"

"Yes, madam. Although more school uniforms are worn in school, there is no harm in preparing a few extra clothes for backup." Ada said.

Before Ada finished speaking, Mrs. Mary had already walked to the bed and began to help her fold clothes. While folding, Mrs. Mary said: "Ada, take care of yourself when you go out. When the weather gets cold, remember to put on thicker clothes so as not to catch a cold. In the past two years, your appetite has not been good and you are unwilling to eat. Even if no one is supervising you over there, remember to eat well..."

Looking at Mrs. Mary who was getting thinner and thinner, Ada felt a little sad. "Don't worry, madam, I have grown up and I will take care of myself. But it's you, you are much thinner than before." Ada In my memory, Mrs. Mary was a little fat, but now she is already extremely thin.

The two people packed things very quickly, and after a while they even packed the box. After packing neatly, Mrs. Mary took out some money and put it in Ada's hand and said: "Take this little money and keep it." Come close."

Ada returned the money to Mrs. Mary with her backhand, "No, the school has provided me with a bursary, so you don't have to worry." Hogwarts provides food and accommodation, so there is no need for much money, and Ada also redeems it herself. A few galleons were enough.

Mrs. Mary held Ada in her arms and said in a trembling voice: "Poor child, may God bless you!" After that, she left the room, but the slight twitching of her shoulders proved that she should have been crying.

The door to the room was not closed, and usually Mrs. Mary would just close it.Ada looked at the empty corridor outside the door and whispered: "Hogwarts is under the control of Merlin. God's words should not count...May...May God bless you, Mrs. Mary."

September [-]st, King's Cross Station, a new journey, a new beginning.

Ada got up early today and planned to leave secretly. She didn't like parting, and parting was always a cruel thing. However, Lady Mary got up earlier than she did, and her plan to leave without saying goodbye was in vain.

The two had breakfast together. This time, Mrs. Mary's mood was very stable. She just kept telling Ada something, over and over again, tirelessly. These nagging words should have made people bored, but they made Ada feel very warm.

After breakfast, Ada did not leave the orphanage immediately.Because Mrs. Mary specifically asked a friend, Mr. Coker, to take Ada to the station today, which saved Ada the embarrassment of dragging two large boxes around.

Ada arrived at the station at almost ten o'clock. Mr. Coker helped Ada put the box on the trolley and pushed it into the station before leaving.Ada pushed the trolley to the location between platform nine and platform ten. There was no platform nine and three-quarters written on the ticket between the two platforms.

Ada naturally thought about this situation. How could one of the entrances to the magical world appear clearly in a place where Muggles are intertwined?Ada didn't just stupidly run to the Muggle guard to ask where the platform was.She could figure out that if she asked about Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, the Muggle guards would definitely treat her as a retard.

Ada had seen the way to enter Diagon Alley, which gave her a good hint for finding the entrance to the platform.Since it is called platform nine and three-quarters, it must be between platforms nine and ten!

Ada, who was leaning on the trolley, kept looking at the partition wall between the two platforms. Ada was a little confused. She was not sure which partition she should choose. It would be best if the partition wall was chosen right the first time. If not, Ada estimated that she would fall badly.

At this moment, one or two words from the bustling crowd reached Ada's ears and caught her attention.

"Mom, these are all Muggles..." The speaker should be a little girl.

Ada looked for the source of the sound. It was a little girl with fiery red hair. She was leaning closely against a short and fat woman, who must be her mother. There are five boys with fiery red hair beside the fat woman. They have the same leather suitcase as Ada, and they also carry owls.

This gave too much information. If Ada didn't know that they were wizards, she might as well just turn around and go back to the orphanage.Ada quickly pushed the cart and followed the family forward.

"Okay, we're here." The fat woman stopped. She pointed at the oldest one among the children and said, "Charlie, you go in front."

The boy named Charlie walked towards a partition between the ninth and tenth platforms. He had a broad face like a good man, a strong build, and looked very powerful.Charlie walked to the partition wall and suddenly disappeared.

"Percy, you're next."

A boy with glasses and neat clothes pushed his cart towards the partition wall.

The platform entrance, that is the platform entrance.Ada thought to herself.

"What are you looking at?"

"Are you looking for a platform?"

Two boys with fiery red hair suddenly came to Ada and said to her. These are twins, they look so much alike, even the location of the freckles on their faces is very similar.

"Uh, yes. But I just found it." Ada said to the twin brother.

"So you're a freshman?"

"We are freshmen too."

said the twin brothers. They seemed to like this way of speaking, one sentence at a time.

"Mom, there's a new baby here."

"Besides, he looks like the kind of good boy you like."

If you just look at Ada's appearance, the twins are absolutely right.

Hearing the twins talking, the woman looked over and said, "Oh, honey, you are also a freshman, and so are Fred and George. They are a little naughty." She pointed at the twins, and there was a tall and thin girl beside her. But the boy who looked clumsy and the little girl who just spoke.

"Yes, ma'am, I just saw..."

"Child, let Fred give you another demonstration." The fat woman pointed at one of the twins and said, "Fred, it's your turn."

"I'm not Fred, I'm George." said the pointed boy. "Honestly, ma'am, you said you were our mother, but why can't you recognize that I am George?"

"I'm sorry, George, dear," the fat woman said apologetically.

"Just kidding, I'm Fred." Fred showed a mischievous smile to the fat woman and walked towards the partition wall.George urged him to hurry up from behind, and the moment he touched the partition wall, Fred and his cart disappeared.

"Don't worry, don't be afraid, you just need to walk straight towards the partition wall between platforms 9 and 10. Don't stop, don't be afraid, just run straight in, this is very important. If you are nervous, you Just trot away. Come on, you go first, George will follow you." said the fat woman.

"Thank you, ma'am." Ada expressed her gratitude to the fat woman, then looked at George who winked and made faces at her and nodded, then pushed the trolley and trotted straight towards the partition wall.

A crimson steam locomotive was parked next to a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train read: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock.Thick smoke from steam locomotives lingered over the chattering crowd, and cats of various colors walked back and forth under people's feet.Amid the hum of the crowd and the noise of hauling heavy luggage, owls hooted in response.

After passing several carriages, Ada finally found an empty seat and was about to move her suitcase into the car. However, the suitcase was a bit heavy and Ada had a hard time moving it. She thanked Mrs. Mary again for her arrangement today.

"Need help?" The person who spoke was one of the twin brothers just now, but I didn't know whether it was Fred or George.

"Thank you." Ada was a little tired and couldn't help but recall the words some people used to describe exhaustion when she was a child - if it doesn't work, hire someone!

"Fred, come here, hurry up!" Apparently the boy was George.

The twins moved Ada's box up first and placed it in the corner of the box, leaving Ada looking at the twins' boxes. Then they moved their boxes up and placed them in this box as well.

Since Ada was a girl, they were worried that it would be inconvenient. Originally, the two brothers planned to find another private room, but Ada did not let the twins do so.

The Weasley brothers helped themselves, but they still had to drag the box to find a location, something Ada couldn't do.Therefore, the twin brothers stayed in this box.

"I'm Fred, Fred Weasley." The three people were already sitting in the box, one of the twins said.

"I'm George," said the other boy.

Ada suddenly wanted to say "I am Peggy", but fortunately, she resisted the urge, "Esmeralda Drizzt, you can call me Ada."
