Chapter 25
I bought the most luxurious edition of "A History of Hogwarts" for Hermione in the hardcover book section. After all, I can see her holding this big book every now and then. I don't know what's so good about it. Every time I see Hermione, she holds this book eight out of ten times.
After returning to Dumbledore's office, I pulled a piece of brown paper from the bookshelf behind him in the latter's confused eyes and wrapped the schoolbag tightly.
"A History of Hogwarts" I think your gift is very good. Have you finally figured it out?" Dumbledore commented.
"In fact, I also prepared a shiny gift for her. I also agree with Draco's suggestion. Who doesn't like shiny things?" Thorne said, throwing the necklace he picked up from the vault from his pocket onto Dumbledore's desk.
"It's too valuable." Dumbledore said.
"Isn't it better to be higher? Do you have a small box here?"
"You can transform one yourself."
"Okay, that's a solution." Thorne found another piece of kraft paper and transformed it into an exquisite small box.
"I'm leaving. I'll come to see you next time." Thorne took the two gifts and walked out of the principal's office.
"You're still young." Dumbledore said faintly.
Thorne walked out of the principal's tower and went straight to the library. To be rude, the library has almost become Hermione's fixed refresh point every day.
As expected, Hermione was found writing furiously in the library.
"Hello." Thorne sat quietly beside Hermione.
"What's wrong?" The latter said coldly.
"I brought you two gifts." Thorne took out the necklace he had packed from his pocket and put it in front of her.
Hermione looked at Thorne coldly, and finally opened the small box after seeing his smiling eyes. After picking up the necklace, she frowned and said, "This is too expensive."
"Why do you all say that this necklace is expensive? Why didn't I see it?" Thorne asked.
"Uh, uh, maybe you have a bad eye. Anyway, I won't accept it." Hermione took another look at the necklace and put it back into the small box and returned it to Thorne.
"Are you still angry?" Thorne asked while lying on the table.
"Tell me the truth, where did you go before school started?" Hermione did not answer directly, but asked back.
"At first, I did stay in Hogwarts for a few days, and then Dumbledore offended Professor McGonagall, and then we kept hiding in the Leaky Cauldron. Really, you can ask old Tom." Thorne explained.
"Okay, this reason is not too outrageous." Although Hermione said so, her tone was still not very kind.
"Just don't be angry. By the way, I have a gift for you." Thorne put the book "A History of Hogwarts" in front of Hermione, and then left the library without looking back. After all, it was hard to speak loudly in this place, and it was uncomfortable to stay there.
Thorne saw Draco when he walked out of the library. It seemed that he was going to the library to check information.
"Hey Thorne, have you solved your problem?" Draco asked when he saw Thorne coming out of the library.
"Isn't this simple? It's easy to handle." Thorne snapped his fingers and said.
"It's solved. Accompany me to the library. I need to check something." Draco pulled Thorne into the library without saying anything, and sat diagonally opposite Hermione.
"Didn't you say you had something to do? Your thing is to accompany Malfoy to read books?" Hermione said faintly.
"Uh... Hehe..." Thorne smiled awkwardly. What can he say about this? It's wrong to say it anyway, just smile awkwardly.
Not long after, Draco also came over with a pile of books. Feeling the strange atmosphere here, he was a little confused. Sure enough, he looked up and saw Hermione, who looked unhappy.
"When did she come?" Draco muttered in a low voice, calmly put the books on another long table, and was about to pull Thorne to move.
"Ahem!" Hermione coughed twice after noticing it.
"Huh? What are you doing?" Draco was not a stupid person with negative emotional intelligence. After noticing Hermione's reaction and looking at Thorne who was confused, he was furious.
"Come with me!" Draco whispered.
"Ahem!" Hermione's meaning was also very clear. You dare to go over and try.
"Fuck... What's going on!" Thorne murmured in a low voice, then looked up at Draco who was staring at him with a wronged face and Hermione who was staring at him with gloomy eyes, and thought about it in his heart.
If I follow Hermione at this time, Draco will definitely be angry with me. And judging from Hermione's current state, she doesn't seem to be in a good mood.Look.
But Draco is different. Not only can he temporarily stay away from the emotionally unstable Hermione, but Draco is not like Hermione, who is cheerful like a little sun every day, and sitting next to him is also in a good mood.
So........
Thorne decisively stood up and strategically moved to sit next to Draco.
Bang!
He only heard a loud bang of a book hitting the wooden table behind him, and then the "A History of Hogwarts" he had just given to Hermione was hit next to him by a huge force, which made Thorne stunned.
He swore that at that moment, he would rather face the three-headed dog that suddenly appeared than sit with Hermione who was out of control.
Thinking of this, he felt that his decision just now was extremely wise.
"Your friend... may not have a very stable temper." Draco, who was sitting next to him, said faintly.
"Yes, it is true." Thorne nodded in agreement.
"You must have been very tired of being friends with her before?" Draco continued.
"It's not easy, girls are more willful, sometimes you have to accommodate her." Thorne said with a wry smile.
"Right... not like me, eh, sometimes I really feel sorry for you, if I were with that kind of friend, I would definitely go crazy."
"You are indeed quite reasonable."
"Right, by the way, my father sent me a lot of snacks, and he also told me that there is a portion for you in it, let's share it later." Draco said with a flushed face as he spoke.
"Hmm... if they are not taken by Crabbe and Goyle first." Thorne complained.
"..... shouldn't... no way."
"Who knows, what information are you looking for, I'll help you take a look."
"Potions knowledge, the feasibility of planting bezoar in the stomach of a horse..."
Behind the bookshelf... Hermione gritted her teeth and clenched her fists as she watched the two people having fun.
