The Goddess Needs A Break!

Chapter 195 – Goddess Meets Stalker

Takei Tanaka did not enjoy trampling over the hearts of others. When he denied a confession for the second time in his life, it only felt worse than the worse time.

As Takei headed down the stairs from the roof to go to his classroom, he began to get nauseous from a large amount of sensory overload.

Sh*t, lunch break is ending soon. I don't think I can come back to class in this condition...

His legs started trembling as he leaned against the wall to steady himself. It had been a long while since Takei had one of these episodes.

I want to say that I don't know why this is happening to me, but that would just be plain lying. If I keep lying to myself, what good would that do?

Takei knew that his heart was still fragile due to what he had been through in the past, so he knew the exact reason for his poor state at the current moment.

He had a hard time being a jerk or bad person to others, so he was hurting on the inside when he rejected Mitsuki who only loved him because her heart told her so.

"I should be fine after some rest..." Takei mumbled as he grabbed his phone to text Akari. "Go to class without me. I'm not feeling too good right now. I'm going to head to the infirmary to rest. Okay, that should be good."

Takei sent off the text and placed his phone back in his pocket. "Time to head to the infirmary then..."

***

"Eh?"

"What's wrong?"

"Takei's not coming back to class..."

Akari was surprised when she looked at her phone because Takei had texted her saying he was too sick to come back to class. He specifically instructed her to go to class without him since he would be fine with some little rest.

She knew that he didn't want her to miss class because of him, but that wasn't something she wanted. Akari wanted to be there for Takei during his time of need, so she decided to do what needed to be done.

"Please take notes for me," Akari said to Helena. "I'm going to see Takei in the infirmary."

Helena waved Akari off. "Gotcha, do your best to heal Takeichi!"

Class was starting soon, but Takei's health was far more important to Akari than any random class.

The hallways were completely empty and vacant due to the lunch break ending. There was not a single soul in sight to stop Akari from accomplishing her mission. At least, there shouldn't have been anyone.

On the way to the infirmary, Akari noticed a lone girl in the middle of the hallway. When she tried to pass the girl, the mystery girl blocked her path and didn't allow Akari to move any further ahead.

"What are you doing?" Akari asked, confused.

The mystery girl refused to budge. "I should be the one asking that question, you homewrecker..."

Homewrecker? What is she talking about?

The more Akari talked to this girl, the more lost she became. It seemed like the girl had no intention of listening to her at all.

"Ahaha, can I please pass?" Akari politely asked.

The mystery girl decided to ignore her completely. "Mitsuki Fujiwara. Class 1-A. I'm in love with Takei Tanaka and you're an obstacle in my path. Is that good for an answer?"

The second that the mystery girl had revealed her true intentions, Akari's blood ran cold. She knew that her and Takei had a good reputation in the school as a lovey-dovey couple, so she didn't expect anyone to openly hit on either of them.

"Takei is my boyfriend and it is up to him who he chooses to love. He chose me, so you have no right in interfering. Judging from the circumstances, I'm going to assume that he rejected you and now you're looking for other ways of interfering."

Takei being sick and Mitsuki stopping Akari in the hallway at the same time was too much of a coincidence for them to be mutually exclusive.

"No no no! Takei is mine! You can't have him!" Mitsuki cried in anger. "Don't take him away from me!"

"Takei doesn't belong to anyone," Akari calmly stated. "Please try not to impose your will on others. It won't end well for you."

From an outsider's perspective, it was clear as day that Akari had control of the conversation. She was masterfully creating opportunities where Mitsuki would lose her calm and reason due to Akari's hurtful words.

"Break up with him!"

"I refuse."

Due to the dominating aura of the goddess, there was nothing Mitsuki could do in the face of such an overpowered opponent.

"Grrrr... I'll back off for now, but mark my words. I will take Takei away from you with my own two hands."

"I would like to see you try."

Mitsuki stormed off in a fit of rage after having lost to Akari in a war of words. If Takei was here, he would've said something along the lines of, "you dug your own grave the second you tried to challenge the goddess."

Now that Mitsuki had left, the hallway returned to a tranquil silence. It was as if the argument that had just happened was nothing more than a passing breeze.

"She's the one that's been stalking Takei, huh?" Akari murmured. "I can't believe there's another love interest now. What a playboy you are..."

Akari knew that Takei was not the one at fault for attracting another girl, but she was a bit peeved at how much of a natural women-killer he was.

From the information that she had learned from the altercation just now, Akari was almost certain that everything bad that had happened to Takei was a result of that girl.

His sickness was undoubtedly due to his fragile heart being tested due to Mitsuki's confession. Akari had known that Takei had many deep scars from his past, but she didn't realize the true extent of them.

"I need to protect him with everything I have."

Akari made a solemn declaration and headed on her way to the infirmary to see Takei.

Supreme Idiot Couple Meter: 42 -> 48%

A beautiful declaration by the goddess herself has been made!

Serious-san: R.I.P. Yandere girl. She shouldn't have messed with Akari

Sugar-chan: *Sigh* Another antagonist is about to get pummeled.
